LA: Streets of Sorcery ? Deux ans après la saison Finale, le mot finale ayant ici la même valeur contractuelle que dans Highlander 2, la franchise Lust Academy rouvre des portes que personne n'avait demandé à rouvrir. Sondages, retours, suppliques : les développeurs ont tout lu, tout compris, et ont continué quand même, avec l'entêtement serein de Jack Torrance devant sa machine à écrire. Le scénario, lui, semble confié à un atelier d'écriture de CM2 sous caféine : les personnages récitent les répliques de leurs voisins, s'évaporent, reviennent en tenue différente, puis retrouvent leur costume d'origine comme un PNJ de Fallout 76 qui a raté sa synchronisation. 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️ Ma note : 58/100 Techniquement, c'est un festival. Animations floues et rendu final inférieur aux captures de la boutique Steam : réussir à décevoir par rapport à sa propre vitrine, on n'avait plus vu ça depuis le Cyberpunk 2077 de décembre 2020. Et saison après saison, l'option « passer le texte non lu » se désactive à chaque relance, boucle temporelle. Quant à l'IA, elle a signé partout : rendus, animations, écriture, traductions — et signe surtout ces cartes à collectionner qui ressemblent à des rêves de serveur mal réveillé. Reste le contenu adulte, unique radeau de ce naufrage, et il faut une certaine audace pour vendre un jeu dont le seul argument est ce qu'on ne peut pas montrer dans la bande-annonce. Le reste s'effrite à mesure qu'on avance : les personnages passent d'amis intimes à ennemis mortels en une phrase, tous atteints du même trouble dissociatif, façon Tyler Durden mais sans le budget ni le twist. Aucun vernis ne masquera les intentions réelles des développeurs. A choice driven adult VN as a "Lust Academy"-spin-off (you`ll meet some old acquaintances from the main games there and there). The story is quite catchy. Visuals and animations are fine. The battle system of the main game was taken over. Apart from some small interruptions, where you have to search areas for items or fit together some evidences, most of the game is railroad style (linear experience) with branching story plots (according to decisions made); no real free roam. Alltogether I wouldn't say that it's a bad game, but ... it's also not the big hit. If you like railroad adult VN or just want to complete the "Lust Academy"-series, then you can't go very wrong, I personally would give a neutral vote, but thumbs up for the sake of the brand.

So far so great! The refreshing plots and terrific animations keep me totally engaged. I need to stop playing the game given that I have work to do tomorrow. Maybe it is sort of pricy and it is definitely worth it!

"Welcome to Lust Academy Season 5, where every grown man finishes his sentence with a 'hehe!'" - Renders: AI assisted, inconsistent, good for main characters. - Animations: AI assisted, decent, blurry at times. - Story: reminiscent of crime solving drama, one case per episode. - Choices: quite a lot. - Length: TBA (will update when and if I finish). - Gallery: available (some scenes are locked behind dlc). - Soundtracks: random, varied, unfit for the scenes. - Achievements: available. The story picks up 2 years after Lust Academy Season 4 (or Final) as it was called. The main character wakes after being in magic stasis/coma for several years after his fight with the overlord, and immediately gets hired by the Ministry of Magic as an intern to catch people using illegal sorcery. Welcome to your new life in a "city" with no name, that you are not allowed to leave for your own good, and now go solve crimes by collecting trash as evidence, ignore the personal space of every girl you meet, and eventually reach out to reconnect with your old friends. Beware though, strange cases and even stranger colleagues are awaiting you. Just when you think the franchise has ended, you get dragged right back into flinging spells and sleeping with every woman you meet. The gameplay does not offer a free-roam mode like the previous seasons. This time it is just straight up visual novel mode with minigames rebranded as tasks to complete for card rewards? Not sure what those cards are for, but you can always check them out through the menu. The minigames themselves are simple and skippable, though you will be warned that by skipping them you forgo the rewards. The rest of the game has you making choices to either earn favor with characters or lose it, and unlock cards as well as NSFW scenes and more. The writing or rather the English translation makes playing through the game extremely difficult. I can't stress how annoying it is reading sentences of all grown men finishing with a "hehe". Seriously, who wrote this, or who proofread this? Not to mention characters saying other's lines, some people disappearing or appearing in wrong clothing then switching back (no not magic, straight up errors). First time I actually had to step away and not finish the game, it was that painful. More on this in the conclusion. The adult scenes and animations are good, spicy and smooth for the most part. Sometimes they are blurry, and a few of the first scenes have this odd issue where you'll have to let it play out for a minute before you can continue the story (no joke, you can't click anything, nothing works). Also sadly some of the gallery scenes are locked behind the dlc. One last thing to mention; in the settings "skip unseen text" feature resets to off when you quit the game. It was the same for the previous seasons, oddly they still can't fix it. The conclusion honestly the NSFW content is the only thing keeping this game afloat. The developers really did not want to abandon their Lust Academy IP, and even after all our surveys and feedback, they still decided to continue it, no amount of masking will hide what devs want. You will notice that AI was used in almost every single aspect of this game: renders, animations, writing, translations, it's clear and evident, especially in the cards you obtain throughout the game. For the most part it wasn't bad, but as you play it gets progressively worse. Characters change outfits every render, some characters aren't rendered while talking, and 99% of men's sentences end with "hehe". There are so many grammar mistakes and sentences that don't make sense, it was painful to read and play. Even though there are plenty of soundtracks, they rarely fit the scenes, and are badly spliced on repeat, which is very noticeable. The protagonist knows no boundaries or personal space, always in the face of every woman, touching and kissing without consent. Claire, one of the detectives, drives the MC around and never looks at the road, only at him the entire drive. People are friends in one sentence, and mortal enemies in the next. It's as if every character has a multiple personalities, no one is consistent with any of their actions or behavior. I don't mind continuing the series, I also don't mind something new entirely. What I do mind is that the writing, mistakes, errors and overuse of AI made a mess of this game. I hope it gets fixed, and I will update the review should I finish this game. If you enjoyed the characters of Lust Academy and want more, then pick this up, otherwise wait a bit for patches and discount offers. Rating: 7/10 Visit our Curator page for more 18+ NSFW titles!
