[NEW] Guide to Developer Console and Item ID-List

I decided to write this guide cause a lot of stuff I found online on wikis/sites etc. are outdated or have a lot of old stuff in them back from when the game was still in Alpha/Beta. It is really hard sometimes to find a lot of information on various stuff and most I had to figure it out myself or by looking through a bunch of different posts across boards/reddit posts/forum posts etc. This was tested and works with the newest update: v1.7.79954; not only in Arcade Mode(Survival, Sandbox, Bobby Mode) but also in Story Mode and probably in the DLC too (but I don't have the DLC, so I can't test it, but it definetly should) Well let's get started, shall we! You got to the folder - > C:\Users\"whatever your name is"\Documents\My Games\We Happy Few\Config\WindowsNoEditor and open up the Input.ini with the Editor You copy and paste these lines: [/script/engine.inputsettings] ConsoleKey=F1 ConsoleKeys=F1 (by default, instead of 'F1' it should say '~' which is called the 'Tilde' key, but a lot of people who do not have an English Keyboard Layout, this might be bothersome to activate and it is way better mapping it to F1 for example, but you are free to choose whichever key you like; keep in mind you might unbind one of the other keys, so check in advance!) [/script/glimpsegame.glimpseconsole] bConsoleEnabled=True Here a picture how it should look like: Apperantly you can also add the command '-console' in the steam launcher, but I haven't tried that out and it works fine with what I did above. As far as GOG version and other Non-Steam versions, I am not sure but they should technically all work, by editing the Input.ini files, but since I only have the steam version, I can't test them out myself. If you have done this, save it and start the game, you should be able to activate the console via the assigned key; in my case the 'F1' key It should look like in the picture, by having a black bar at the bottom: If you double press the Console Key 'F1' you get a bigger black box. You can enter commands as well but as an addition you can see all the codes you have entered during your session. Console with command history shown: Here is a list with the most important commands you need in the game. A lot of the older guides have commands that are outdated or not working anymore, so I just tried to write them down, so that it is more or less uptodate. Luckily most of the commands haven't changed and are the same as they were in Alpha/Beta: God Makes you immune to damage, people can still see you and react to you; also you still can die if you jump of a bridge fyi Fly, Ghost and Walk Fly - Lets you, as the name implies, fly in the world Ghost - Lets you fly as well, but in addition toggles NoClip and lets go through walls/objects etc. Walk - Disables the Fly and Ghost command and gets you back on your feet (Beware of Fall Damage!) Heal Heals you, removes negative effects and buffs everything back to 100% RevealMap Removes the fog and shows you the whole map RevealMapAndQuest Same as Reveal Map but in addition also shows you all the quests you haven't done as well as the Dig Spots (I am not sure, but it could break the game and softlocks you, but haven't tested it out) Give Probably the most important command in the game, it let's you spawn all the stuff you want. There are 2 commands which are basically the same except one lets you choose how many items you wanna spawn by adding a number: give [insert Item ID] - e.g. give FirstAidKit -> gives you only 1 First Aid Kit giveN [#] [Item ID] - e.g. giveN 10 FirstAidKit -> gives you 10 First Aid Kits giveN 2000 sovereign -> gives you 2.000 coins Shot Makes a screenshot without the HUD, even paused You can find the files in the folder here: C:\Users\ YourAccount \Documents\My Games\We Happy Few\Screenshots\WindowsNoEditor AIIgnorePlayers NPC ignore the player (toggle again to deactivate) Suicide Lets you kill yourself! (oh the joy!) GiveSkillPoints [#] Gives you # skillpoints (haven't found a way to remove them though) ResetSkills Resets all the skills you invested in the skill tree and lets you distribute from the beginning CompleteQuest / CompleteObjective Complete Quest lets you complete the whole quest you have currently active Objective just lets you complete on objective at a time Warning: It could break the game/safe and softlock you, so beware! Teleport Teleports you to the direction your cursor (Targeting Reticle) is pointing ToggleThirdPerson Toggles 3rd person view, but only your hands are visible, but still funny command (by activating it again you change back to 1st person view) Travel <MapName> It lets you travel to different Maps Warning: There are 600+ commands to different Maps/Quest areas/Test rooms, which could break the game or softlock you, so beware! Unbreakable Your items won't degrade (toggle to deactivate) Unlock UnlockRecipe <name> - Unlocks a specific recipe UnlockAllFastTravel - Unlocks all the hatchet locations UnlockAllLore - Unlocks all the Lore entries UnlockAllRecipes - Gives you all the recipes in the game (crashes the game for me, maybe because I don't have the PreOrder as well as the DLC?) Warning: Again, they could softlock the game, so beware! These are IMO the most important commands in the game you ever need to use. There are probably 20.000+ more, but whoever wants to try them out, have fun! =) This is a list of almost all the Items in the game! Since I don't have the DLC, any DLC Items are not included as well as the Pre-Order Weapons, since I have no way to spawn them without crashing the game. The list is by far not 100% complete as I've found even items that are not in the list and haven't seen yet in normal gameplay, so there might be many more items in the database, but unless someone unzips and searches all the .pak game files, this list should be way enough for the average joe to be able to spawn all the items they want/need. It should be noted that the ItemIDs do not have to be case sensitive, so spawning and item by writing it like: ' give FirstAidKit ' and/or ' give firstaidkit ' shouldn't matter Disclaimer: The list has Quest-Items and Leftover-Items included that aren't ment to be spawned or be accessible by normal means. I also haven't tested every Item on the list, so if you use any of the codes, be warned that it can crash the game or corrupt the save files! It hasn't happend to me yet, but just a reminder for everyone, when playing with console commands in general!
