This guide was made by myself while playing the game with the help of Final Fantasy Wiki [finalfantasy.fandom.com] . All screenshots were taken by myself. Please, don't copy any contents of this guide, share the link instead. Nothing is missable from Final Fantasy VII Remake, as you can replay any chapter in any difficulty after you beat the game. Chapter Selection and Hard difficulty will be unlocked right after the you finish the game. This guide will go in-depth through all the decisions in the game, explaining the Affection and Dress Mechanics. It will also cover related achievements like The Johnny Experience and others. It will also warn you about Useful Steals and other simple things that you may miss on your playthrough. However, this guide will not cover an in-depth walkthrough and Enemy Intel. Chapters 5 and 6 are not covered in this guide, as they are pretty straight forward with no decisions to be made. Don't forget to get your INTERGRADE free items from the Gift Box on the main menu. Chapter 14 Resolutions Witnessed The game has hidden values for Aerith and Tifa that alter the Chapter 14 Resolutions Witnessed . Each character will get a different cutscene in this chapter, depending on how much points they have. Tifa will get +2 points for each Odd Job sidequest completed in Chapter 3. Aerith will get +2 points for each sidequest in Chapter 8. At the start of Chapter 10, the character that you talk to first will get +1 point. The character with the most points will be selected for the cutscene. If both Aerith and Tifa have less than 5 points, Barret will be chosen instead. After you beat the game, you can see how many Chapter 14 Resolutions Witnessed you've got in Play Log on the main menu. Dressed to the Nines Acquiring all 9 dresses is needed for the Dressed to the Nines achievement. After you beat the game, you can see how many Dresses you've got for each character in Play Log on the main menu. Tifa's Dress In Chapter 3, when Tifa asks Cloud what type of dress she should wear for their night out later, you'll have to choose between "Something refined", "Something... sporty?", or "Something exotic?". To get the Sporty Dress or the Exotic Dress , you must complete all Odd Jobs sidequests in Chapter 3. If you want the Refined Dress , just select the option or only complete a single sidequest skipping all the remaining ones. Aerith's Dress For Aerith, her dress is chosen only by how many Odd Jobs siquequests you've completed in Chapter 8. To get the Sexy Dress , you must complete all 6 sidequests. To get the Ordinary Dress , you must complete 3 sidequests. To get the Cheap Dress , you need to complete fewer than 3 sidequests. Cloud's Dress Cloud's dress is determined by what path you've chosen in Chapter 9, Madam M's or Chocobo Sam's and if you've completed their respective sidequests. The path is chosen by a hidden value based on what dialogue choices you had throughout the chapter. The character's path with the most points will be chosen. To get the Gorgeous Dress , you must choose Madam M's path and complete all of her sidequests. To get the Ordinary Dress , you must choose Sam's path and complete all of his sidequests. To get the Poor Dress , just skip all of their sidequests in either path. To get The Johnny Experience achievement, you need to complete all of Johnny's sidequests. It is only possible to get this achievement if you've chosen Chocobo Sam's path in your playthrough during Chapter 9, as one of the sidequests is only available in Sam's path. Johnny's Sidequest List Chapter 9 - Vagabond Johnny Chapter 9 - The Party Never Stops Chapter 14 - Tomboy Bandit Chapter 14 - Johnny's Stolen Wallet Keep in mind that you don't need to complete all of these quests in the same playthrough. If you got Madam M sidequests but completed all of the remaining Johnny's Quest List, you just need to complete The Party Never Stops on your next playthrough to unlock this achievement. The Bomb Timer Set timer: This option changes how many minutes you'll have to escape the reactor after beating the Scorpion Sentinel boss. Barret will give a comment depending on your choice. "Twenty minutes": Jessie will give you an Ether and 2x Hi-Potion at the start of Chapter 2. "Thirty minutes": You get nothing. On Hard difficulty, only the "Twenty minutes" option will be available. You won't have any big challenges while escaping the reactor, so just choose "Twenty minutes" anyway. Meeting Aerith Here. This is for you. Cloud will get the flower regardless of your choice. This has no effect on any character's Affection. In your case... It's on the house. This will only show up if you've chosen "I'm good." in the previous dialogue. Either choice will have no effect. Tifa's Dress Alone at Last After completing all sidequests, go to the Discovery marker in Merle's apartment. If you want to get either the Sporty Dress or the Exotic Dress for Tifa, you need to complete all Odd Jobs sidequests in this chapter. If you don't complete all sidequests, this Discovery marker won't be available and Tifa will wear the Refined Dress . I wonder what would suit me. Here you can choose what dress Tifa will wear. Tifa's Affection If you want to have Tifa's Chapter 14 Resolution Witnessed , make sure you complete at least 2 sidequests to get +4 points for her. Each sidequest completed will add +2 points, both Tifa and Aerith have the same amount of sidequests. If you want Aerith's Chapter 14 Resolution Witnessed instead, Aerith needs to have more points than Tifa. There will be a tiebreaker adding +1 point in Chapter 10 for Aerith or Tifa. If you want Barret's Chapter 14 Resolution Witnessed , make sure both girls have less than 5 points. What'll it be? Cloud will end up drinking regardless of your choice. This has no effect on any character's Affection. Biker Boy To get the Biker Boy achievement you need to finish the Bike Mini-Game with at least 80% of your HP. On Easy difficulty, enemies will do less damage and you will be able to take them down faster. You can use HP Up Materia to increase your Max HP, you just need to allocate this materia before you enter Chapter 4, as the chapter starts with this mini-game and you can't access your inventory while you're at it. If you get this achievement, Jessie will kiss Cloud on the cheek after you finish it. Jessie's Letter Read the letter? Reading the letter or putting it back has no effect on the game, you'll just learn a bit more about Jessie. Jessie's Date Will you come back tomorrow night? This choice has no effect on the game, as the date never happens. Weakening the Airbuster Before the amazing battle against the Airbuster you'll have 6 Sector 5 Reactor Keycards available to find in the control rooms, then you can choose what part to remove from the Airbuster. The first keycard will be spent with an M Unit, not optional. Just before the Boss Battle, you can go to the disposal room to collect the items. AI Programming Core: This will reduce how often Airbuster is going to use the Fingerbeam attack that stuns the characters. Can be sold for 500 Gil. Big Bomber: Reduce Airbuster's amount of damage and ammunition, it also uses its Big Bomber less often. Can be used to do 500 damage. M Unit: It has no effect on the Airbuster, but gives you items like Ether and Phoenix Down. Don't spend your keycards on these ones. Leaf House Decoration Flower Gathering Aerith will ask you to gather some flowers to the Leaf House. Depending on which flowers you choose, the decoration outside of Leaf House will change. You will choose any flower you want 3 times. Chocobo: 2x Yellow Flower or one of each. Moogle: 2x White Flower. Cactuar: 3x Foxtail. This will only change the decoration at Leaf House, it has no other effect on the game. Aerith's Dress The dress Aerith is going to wear depends on how many Odd Jobs sidequests you complete with her.
