MINI SOCCER MANAGER CUSTOM TEAM WORKSHOP GUIDE This guide explains how to create a custom team mod and upload it to the Steam Workshop. ============================================================ 1. WHAT YOU NEED ============================================================ Create one folder for your custom team. Example: Chelsea FC/ team.json badge.png The folder must contain: - team.json Contains all team information, tactics, colors, and the complete roster. - badge.png The team's badge/logo. It must be a PNG file. 1024 x 1024 transparent background. The Steam Workshop preview image is selected separately when uploading through the game. It can be PNG, JPG, or JPEG and must be smaller than 1 MB. Everything is read from team.json. ============================================================ 2. TEAM.JSON REQUIREMENTS ============================================================ A custom team must have: - SchemaVersion = 1 - A TeamName - A ShortName of 5 characters or fewer - A valid TeamStyle - A valid PreferredFormation - A PrimaryColor - A SecondaryColor - BadgeFile set to "badge.png" - Exactly 11 Starters - Exactly 9 Substitutes Custom Workshop teams do not need a Reserves section. "Mini FC" is reserved for the playable team and cannot be used as the custom team's TeamName. Player IDs should be unique across the full roster. Player names must also be unique across the full roster. ============================================================ 3. AVAILABLE TEAM STYLES ============================================================ Use one of these exact values for "TeamStyle": Balanced Defensive CounterAttack Attacking PressHigh Possession Physical Example: "TeamStyle": "Possession" ============================================================ 4. AVAILABLE FORMATIONS ============================================================ Use one of these exact values for "PreferredFormation": FourFourTwo = 4-4-2 FourThreeThree = 4-3-3 FourTwoThreeOne = 4-2-3-1 ThreeFiveTwo = 3-5-2 FourFiveOne = 4-5-1 FiveFourOne = 5-4-1 FourOneTwoOneTwo = 4-1-2-1-2 Example: "PreferredFormation": "FourTwoThreeOne" ============================================================ 5. AVAILABLE PLAYER POSITIONS ============================================================ Use one of these exact values for "Position": Goalkeeper Defender Midfielder Forward Example: "Position": "Midfielder" ============================================================ 6. AVAILABLE PLAYER TRAITS ============================================================ Use one of these exact values for "Trait": None Captain Speedster Finisher Wall Workhorse Clutch Example: "Trait": "Captain" ============================================================ 7. PLAYER FIELDS ============================================================ Each player entry can contain: PlayerId FirstName LastName DisplayName Position Trait ShirtNumber Age Attack Defense Speed Stamina Morale Potential Goalkeeping Recommended PlayerId format: "cole_palmer" "reece_james" "player_name" PlayerId values must be unique across the full 20-player roster. Player values: ShirtNumber: 1 to 99 Age: 16 to 45 Attack: 1 to 99 Defense: 1 to 99 Speed: 1 to 99 Stamina: 1 to 99 Morale: 1 to 99 Potential: 1 to 99 Goalkeeping: 1 to 99 For outfield players, Goalkeeping can simply be a very low value. ============================================================ 8. TEAM COLORS ============================================================ PrimaryColor and SecondaryColor use HTML/hex colors. Examples: Blue: "#034694" White: "#FFFFFF" Red: "#FF0000" Black: "#000000" Example: "PrimaryColor": "#034694", "SecondaryColor": "#FFFFFF" ============================================================ 9. STARTERS AND SUBSTITUTES ============================================================ Your team.json MUST contain exactly: 11 players inside "Starters" 9 players inside "Substitutes" Example structure: "Starters": [ player 1, player 2, ... player 11 ], "Substitutes": [ player 1, player 2, ... player 9 ] Do not add more or fewer players to either section. There is currently no Reserves section required for Workshop teams. ============================================================ 10. UPLOADING YOUR TEAM ============================================================ 1. Open Mini Soccer Manager. 2. From the Main Menu, select: Mods 3. Select: Upload Custom Team 4. Enter a Workshop Title. 5. Enter a Workshop Description. 6. Select your Content Folder. This is the folder containing: - team.json - badge.png 7. Select a Preview Image. This is the image shown on the Steam Workshop page. It must be PNG, JPG, or JPEG and smaller than 1 MB. 8. Leave Existing Item ID empty if this is a new Workshop item. 9. Select Create & Upload. If you are updating a team you already uploaded, enter its Workshop Item ID instead. ============================================================ 11. USING A CUSTOM TEAM IN THE GAME ============================================================ After subscribing to a custom team: 1. Open Mods from the Main Menu. 2. Enable the custom team. 3. Open League Configuration. 4. The team will appear under WORKSHOP TEAMS. 5. Add the team to the league. Mini FC is always locked in the league and cannot be removed. The league must contain at least 20 teams and can contain up to 25 teams. ============================================================ 12. FULL TEAM.JSON EXAMPLE - CHELSEA F.C. ============================================================ Download the full team folder .json + badgde of Chelsea F.C. example using this link: Team Folder Example (Chelsea F.C.) [mega.nz] Before uploading, make sure: - The folder contains team.json. - The folder contains badge.png. - SchemaVersion is 1. - TeamName is not "Mini FC". - ShortName is 5 characters or fewer. - TeamStyle uses one of the supported values. - PreferredFormation uses one of the supported values. - PrimaryColor and SecondaryColor are valid colors. - There are exactly 11 Starters. - There are exactly 9 Substitutes. - Every player has a valid Position. - Every player has a valid Trait. - Player names are unique. - Player IDs are unique. - Player stats are between 1 and 99. - Player ages are between 16 and 45. - The Workshop preview image is smaller than 1 MB. That's it!
