Introduction Unlocking spirits plays a major role in Spiritstead, since you can use them to mine resources that ordinary residents cannot mine, among other things. A large portion of the achievements therefore revolves around unlocking spirits in all star categories. A warning about 3 achievements you should read now!! Please be aware of spoilers throughout the guide. Another thing to note is that there’s an achievement that requires you to have unlocked all the spirits. Some spirits are difficult to unlock, and for some, it’s advisable to tackle them sooner rather than later - for example, it can become nearly impossible to lower the population’s satisfaction to 0% later in the game without without deleting almost everything in your town. There are, however, spirits who demand this to be unlocked etc. (I recommend: Check out my note on "Spirit 6/6: Old Kasper" under the “Three Stars” section.) There's also an achievement that you might miss if you're not prepared for it. (Check out the "Achievements not related to unlocking spirits” category - "19/25 Ancient primal power") And if you value your time, you should definitely check out "Spirit 1/6: Mizzrick" under the "Three Star" section as soon as possible. On Spirits and Categories The stars roughly indicate the level of difficulty required to unlock the corresponding spirits, although in my opinion there aren't all that many differences between the categories - it's more a matter of how much time it takes. For each new area (3 in total: Starting Area, Snow Area, Swamp), there is a map tile that can be unlocked to unlock the corresponding ghost portal for that area. Each time a spirit portal is unlocked, the standard spirit for that area is also added. There are 9 spirits in the 1-star category. The Overview: Spirit 1/9: Nibbin 1. A sleeping door awaits a traveler to wake it up 2. Search the lands for the ancient Spirit Portal 3. Reach the first spirit temple Note: This is part of the tutorial. Nibbin is the first area spirit (that is, a spirit that is unlocked through an area-specific portal and the spirit portal opener, which looks like a crystal ball). Spirit 2/9: Peppok 1. Where fire crackles, dinner clucks 2. Peppoks just looking for a warm place to get toasty 3. Hold it directly over the flames for 3 seconds Note: Hold a chicken from a chicken farm over the campfire for 3 seconds Spirit 3/9: Wispur Man 1. The sky is waiting for company. Give it a friend, and see who arrives 2. Help a villager get a closer look at the clouds 3. Pick up a villager and toss them into the air Note: To do this, you have to pick up the character, move them to the highest point (the horizon and the edge of the map), and simply drop them onto the map. Spirit 4/9: Styx Jr. 1. Send a friend away to welcome a stranger home 2. When someone steps into the portal , a spirit steps out 3. Place a villager inside the Spirit Portal Spirit 5/9: Snapkin (Swamp) 1. When many pumpkins grin, the spirit joins the fun 2. Gather a glowing crowd of carved gourds to light up the night 3. Build 8 Jack-o'-lanterns together Note: To get the Jack-o'-lanterns, you'll need to have played up to the swamp area. Spirit 6/9: Wooly 1. The glowing gate is calling for a soft, white traveler 2. A fluffy one with wings must pass through the spirit's doorway 3. Throw a sheep into the spirit portal Spirit 7/9: Flumbo 1. He dreams of the sky but forgets how to reach it 2. Give a sheep a gentle toss towards the clouds 3. Spirit 8/9: Blazer 1. This soft cloud needs more heat than his thick coat provides 2. Hold a small soft friend near the fire, and magic awakens 3. Hold a sheep directly over the fire Note: Hold a sheep from a wool farm over the campfire Spirit 9/9: Yolkos 1. It only reveals himself when the producer meets the pantry. Toss a clucker into the grain! 2. To lure this bird, you must deliver the livestock directly to the storage 3. The Overview: Spirit 1/20: Mr. Scrook 1. Scare, spin, and sow - he'll show 2. The wheat gets lonely without a mill to grind it and a guard to watch it 3. Build a scarecrow, a windmill, and a wheat crop right next to each other Spirit 2/20: Scruffern 1. Some bushes just don't belong 2. Travel to the edge of the world and tidy up a shrub 3. Destroy a bush that is near the horizon Note: It's a little tricky to find the specific bush, so I've marked the spot with a red circle in the screenshot. It's important to note that this bush needs to be removed using the bulldozer in the lower right corner. Spirit 3/20: Blumby 1. The more flowers you welcome, the louder he blooms 2. Let different kinds of blossoms keep each other company 3. Place three different types of flowers next to each other Spirit 4/20: Plop (swamp) 1.
