1. Install protontricks , this will be needed later 2. Install HAWX2 and try to start it, you should get the error code 1 and the game should close 3. Open now in a terminal protontricks and select HAWX2, ignore any 64 bit warnings 4. Use the option "Select standard prefix" and click on ok 5. Select "Install Windows-DLL" and click on ok 6. From the long list select d3dx9_24 to d3dx9_43 and d3dx9, because Uplay/Ubisoft Connect is still a DirectX9 program. Now open again protontricks, select HAWX2, select the standard prefix and select the option "Start explorer". Here navigate to C:\Program Files(x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher and start Ubisoftconnect.exe . If everything went the correct way, Ubisoft Connect should start and login into your Ubisoft account 13. Close now Ubisoft connect, make sure it is closed and not still living minimized in the system tray, close protontricks too 14. Start now HAWX2 and the Ubisoft Connect login window should appear, yes you have to login again 15. The game should now start, but at least single player should be broken.
