Ive noticed some discussion threads where people are confused about how packages get damaged so i thought it would be helpful to make a guide on it :) If your confused about how to tell if a package is damaged there are a few ways to figure it out. Have a splotchy darker colour Have Hatch marks in the corners of the package Have a package constraint stamp that doesn't match the area the package was stored in There are a few ways to damage packages, some easier then others. Dropping packages in the water. Storing packages in the wrong room Placing a package on top of or throwing a fragile box Placing a package below a heavy box Shipping a Lover without it's soulmate Damage to packages is calculated upon shift end after the boat leaves. This means you can stack the packages how ever you like on the boat without having to worry about breaking fragile packages or sending dark packages out in the middle of the day. If you ship a lover without it's soulmate the shipped package will count as a damaged package and will be returned in a damaged state the following Dawn/Dusk. If you throw a fragile package, it will get damaged upon impact. Dropping fragile packages will not damage them. Shipping a cursed package does not count as a damaged package. Note: Incoming cursed packages will not be picked up by cats until they are purified How does each constraint affect your package? Fragile : These packages can not be placed under any packages or thrown. You can only fix 3 boxes a day. (Resets at Dawn) Once you have progressed in clearing the hallway mailpile you will clear a path to a open doorway. Inside the room there will be a table with a mat and some cardboard in a holder off to the side. Place a damaged box on the table and then click on the cardboard in the holder. [credit to wandering_wolfie for this addition] When you have the pop up at the end of the shift where it tells you the number of damaged boxes. Its the number of damaged boxes shipped .
