We'll start off the guide by explaining the core mechanics of this game. Some of which, you probably didn't know about. DAMAGE To start off, the damage in this game have fall off. The further away you are to an enemy, the less you'll do. With a minimum of 7 dmg. The closer you are from an enemy, the more you'll do. With a maximum of 13 dmg. SHIELD Alot of the enemies in VOIDFACE have shield Which is indicated by the white line above their healthbar the shield offers damage reduction equivalent to it's percentage. Cube here spawn with ~60% shield, effectively reducing damage taken by ~60%. As you can see, I do 5 dmg even while being at max damage range. Removing parts from the enemies also reduces their shield percentage. With 0 shield, Cube will take full damage of any attacks. MANA REGEN Mana in this game regenerates over time. Whenever you are actively shooting, your mana will regenerate slower. Spells are a main part of the gameplay inside of VOIDFACE. There are a total of 9 usable spells currently in the game. (there is 2 additional spells that we won't get into here but we'll talk about later) We'll demonstrate each of them and try to give tips as to how and when to use them. ERASE Erase is spell discovered by finishing the TUTORIAL. Essentially, the spell is use to remove bullets around your character but not all bullets can be destroyed using erase. If erase is able to take down a bullet, before the skill activation, it will show what bullets are primed for deletion. For example, against SENTINEL, he will spawn 2 walls on each side of your screen. Erase will be able to take down all projectiles thrown at you EXCEPT for the cubes in which it is indicated by that darkened blue/red as shown below You'll mostly want to use erase when in a thight spot to give yourself some leisure or to remove strong projectiles (for exampe, in the screenshot above, the mine of SENTINEL is about to be obliterated by erase.) This spell is very nice to survive longer and to get yourself out of thight situations. SWING The spell casts a blade that orients in the direction you are facing. Swing is very practical when it comes to destroying shield parts You can also maximize it's damage by rotating around the enemy in the opposite direction than the blade. I would recommend using it when the enemy spawn to do a big chunk of damage on it's parts for the cost of 1 mana. (like shown above) SHIELD As its name stands, it allows you to do one mistake for the cost of 2 mana. The shield lasts for 15 seconds Its strenght is that it gives you the leisure of failure for a short duration but I hardly used it since other options proved to be more efficient. I think it's best use was for the [Nope nope nope] achievement But in all honnesty, you are probably better using erase or absorb. DOUBLE Double makes your weapon shoot twice in a V-shape pattern. the buff lasts for 10 seconds By far one of the best spells in the entire game. It effectively doubles your attack, you can clear bosses or segments twice as fast if used correctly.ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ↓ Examples below ↓ But since it's in V-shape, it comes with its disadvantages. Often than not, you'll be running away from the sheer chaos of bullets approaching your way and thus not being able to utilize the full damage of double. In these scenarios, It'll force you to aim higher or lower than the enemy, making it awkward to use. Its usage is very versatile, I would recommend using it against big targets that have big hitboxes or whenever you are close to an enemy for a big period of time. HEAL Effectively heals back one health in easy mode You are better using anything else really, this isn't worth it. ABSORB Absorb is the biggest damage dealer in the entire game. It works like the erase spell and consumes all the projectile in a circle AoE around you to then sends them back at them. Each bullets have different damage values and depending on what you absorb, the damage will vary. (see bullet damage category) The spell in itself isn't easy to use because of it's cast time and mana cost. The strenght of this spell is that it can annihilate a boss of your choosing if used correctly. I would recommend using it if you are not struggling against the other 2 bosses in a level and want 1 gone completely. IRISES The Irises spell is quite versatile and can be used in alot of place to help you out. Both eyes deals your weapon damage and have the same fall off as you do. They shoot triplets twice in the direction of whatever enemy is closer to them. This spell is stackable, meaning you can have more than just a pair of 2 eyes, although, this is rarely usable since they tend to be killed before you can activate them again. ㅤIrises will fall asleep after 15 seconds of inactivity and will cease to exists after 25 seconds. Each eyes have ~800HP and in general the bullets deal around 40dmg, meaning that in most cases, you'll be able to give in alot of damage with them while staying relatively far. I think you should use this spell whenever you feel like they can squeeze out some damage while staying a bit further away from the enemy (or close too). LASER Laser was probably my favorite spell starting out the game. It allows you to deal 12 damage no matter the distance and have infinite range + pierce properties. It EXCELS whenever there's alot of parts in a straight-ish line or multiple enemies. WISDOM This spell is useful to know a few information about the enemies or core mechanics Here's some useful ones: Other than that, he often tells you random useless but funny infos :D (go to "All of old man's text" to know every dialogue) There are 31 bosses in VOIDFACE. Each of them offers some degree of challenge and have various mechanics. This section will provide useful info about each of them and tips on how to beat them. I'd like to add that the spell erase is good to be used in a lot of situations, so I won't be pointing it out as much. HP stands for health points SD stands for Shield Text like this means it's important info Text like this means it's tips on how to beat them easier (Not all tips are underlined) We'll be going in going in this order: INTRO → CLASSIC → CHAOS → TUTORIAL → FINALE → SHOWDOWN CUBE HP - 750 SD - 180 (each segments are worth 30hp) Cube is the most basic of bosses, you can run him down by just attack him and keeping safe distance. STEREO HP - 1300 SD - 480 Stereo will spawn "Stereo gun" when reaching half health. HP - 300x2 SD - 160x2 Whenever you shoot a Stereo gun, it will shoot back. The less shield they have, the more projectiles they shoot after clearing them, you'll face Stereo again, this time he will adapt and have the mechanic of the Stereo gun (less shield = more bullet when striked) In its case though, it only increase the attack speed of it's 8 projectile pattern You can use swing when he spawns to remove ALL his shield and take him down faster. EVIL HP - 1800 SD - 1000 After spawning, he will summon 3 evil minion HP - 300x3 SD - 160X3 (each segments are worth 20hp) For this fight, I highly recommend you hug the walls/borders of the map you can stay quite far while dodging the bullets easily After the first evil minion is vanquished, EVIL will spawn 1 snake-like bullet that'll follow you around. The snake shaped bullet will despawn after roughly 10 seconds . wait it out and start shooting the boss again After taking out all evil minions, you'll be able to damage EVIL. You should use laser on him to chunk out his shielded parts. Whenever the boss reaches 50% of its health, he will spawn yet another snake. You can just do the same thing you did with the first one until he despawns. The rest is more of the same, you can use laser/double on the evil minions too if need be. CACHE HP - 1000 SD - 440 Cache is not really a big treat unless you take long enough for him to get his second attack pattern. You'll you want to remove at least one shield part from him and then chunk him down by staying on wha
