To begin, this guide does include SPOILERS, so please close this guide if you want to seek out these achievements the traditional way. In addition, this guide is currently unfinished because the game is not finished. I will be updating it as I find more of these, and they will be posted in the order they can be found. [Shoe Gaskets are placed based on when the first sock is found, but you may need to refer back to it to find other socks in a chapter.] Please feel free to comment if you know how to get an achievement that I have not obtained. It would be highly appreciated. Achievement Description: It's a secret. Cheaty Cheater's Solution: In order to obtain this achievement, you will need to find your save file, which will be created once you start the game for the first time by hitting 'continue' on the main screen. Once the file has been created, use the Windows Key + R, type: appdata, and hit 'OK.' From the newly opened Windows Explorer Tab, head to a folder titled 'Local,' where you will then find another folder titled 'Heartbound.' The file inside, as you might have guessed, is your save file. Right click this save file and select 'Open with.' Click on Notepad and the contents of the file will be displayed. Note the second line in your save file. You need to replace it with 'animus_basil', minus the apostrophes, in order for this achievement to work. Now, launch Heartbound. Once you leave your bedroom, you will find yourself in a secret room, and with a new achievement, to boot! Huge thanks to KonseRva_23 for figuring this one out! Side note: This one is listed first because it is easy to do right off the bat and you will have to clear your save data by starting a new game afterwards anyways. Also, this will be updated and placed in its proper spot once I, or some kindred soul in the comments, figures out how to get this properly. Achievement Description: It's a secret. When you start up the game and select your language and control preferences, you will find yourself on the title screen. On this screen, use your arrow keys to input the following code. You will know you did it right when you hear a faint laugh, and if you can read the Guardian Glyphs in-game. Code: ← ← ↑ ↓ → ↓ ↓ ↓ ← → → ↑ ↑ Achievement Description: It's a secret. Time to unleash your inner child! Remember how the light switch in your room exploded? Good. Go in the hallway and flick the light switch to your heart's content. Do not worry about the warnings. Huge thanks to Hoc Recens for sharing this one! Achievement Description: It's a secret. Time to put your ten dancing fingers to use, kiddos. Find your save file for Heartbound (see Hidden Highway for more details on finding it), it is time to edit it. You need to find and change the 245th line in the file to "42". Then there will be toast in the toaster. Interacting with it gives you the achievement. Nice lil' reference to Champions of Breakfast . Don't want to count out the lines? Achievement Description: It's a secret. Collect every sock in Chapter One. Screenshots below. Achievement Description: It's a secret. After fighting the Barghest for the first time and having Binder intervene, you will end up in The Trial area, where you are trying to make your way to the Artifact. In the first area of The Trial, before moving the left pillar, head to the secret area [see the red path in the screenshot below] and speak to Gizmo. Answer with Yes to get this achievement. Achievement Description: It's a secret. Do not put on Lore's sweater and do not take the axe from the stump. To obtain this, you will need to do both of the Barghest fights by having Lore only wear his pajamas into combat and by having Lore wield a stick. Be sure to complete both fights without taking any damage. This may take a few attempts [especially if you are like me and are using a touch pad instead of a mouse]. If you happen to take damage during one of the fights, close the game and try again from your last save. Waiting until you die will cause the game to create a new save point, which, in turn, makes getting this achievement more tedious, as you will have to start a new game. Head inside the room and interact with the black liquid in the sink to meet Birder. You cannot have ducks on your head or the sticky on your face when interacting with the sink. After finishing your job in the cafeteria, go to the Mailshroom and go downstairs. Boom. Interact with the computer in the center of the room to get the Into The Deep achievement, as well! F1 Socks: F0 Sock: F2 Sock: Achievement Description: It's a secret. Put in the following code into the keypad found in the first room of Chapter Two. You will hear a faint laugh and be able to read Darksider Glyphs after doing so. Code: 583221496 Achievement Description: It's a secret. Chapter Two: In the first room, interact with the computer in the back to learn the first part of the puzzle. After it turns off again, interact with the sticky note nearby, the bulletin board notice, the set of books on the right desk, and the page on the desk beside the desk that has the keypad. Either figure out the puzzle yourself or look at the code below and put it into the keypad to get this achievo. Code: 8913 Achievement Description: It's a secret. Chapter Two, F1: When you have all five ducks on your head, hug the north wall near the entrance to the room with the save point before heading back to the room Phish is in, and there is an invisible path that takes you up to a goose. During the cafeteria job, you not only have to feed all thirty employees before the time runs out, but you ALSO cannot drop anything. Save beforehand. Seriously. The video below was not made by me and is a perfect example of how to achieve this. Godspeed. Achievement Description: It's a secret. This achievement requires that you go to Floor Zero in Chapter Two. Find it on your own, or let me hold your hand and lead you right to it. All it costs is for you to look below. Watch your step, nerdhire. How to reach Floor 0: Second row, on the right. Head inside the room and interact with the black liquid in the sink to meet Birder. Upon descending the stairs and making your way to the main room of Floor Zero, you will see a heart and a terminal. Interact with the terminal to get this achievement. Achievement Description: It's a secret. Chapter Two, Tower F1: After completing all three tasks for OScar on the first floor of the tower, OScar will give you one final task: stay in your cubicle and work like the good little nerdhire you are. By doing just that for two to three minutes, you will unlock Industry Equine. Achievement Description: It's a secret. Chapter Two, Tower F2: Go into the cubicle with all of the fluffy and not-so-fluffy friends inside and check the drawer. You will notice that it's filled with salamander treats, and if you look away from this guide long enough, you will see a salamander run by, as well. This may take a few tries, but quickly check the drawer and then step back to step on the salamander as it runs by. Congratulations, you've murdered an innocent creature. Achievement Description
