Welcome to the detailed, step by step guide! We will first talk about HUD. The HUD (Head's Up Display) in this game is easy to learn, however I will also list that description here. Click the image to enlarge it. Please note that the "orange" dot is for wandering dinos, and the red is dinos for current wave This guide section provides basic and important knowledge regarding to start the wave, and buying weapons. The rest of the detailed strategy are additional informations. In SURVIVAL match, you will have to: 1. Choose class between Assault, Support and Recon. (changeable) 2. Turn on the Generator When you have spawned, the wave will not start first. Don't worry! When you are ready or want to start the wave, you head to the Generator and turn it on. In this moment, you can not buy weapons/upgrades first. It will available after you turn on the generator. (click to enlarge the picture) 3. Buy Weapon . After you/teammates turned the generator on, head back to barracks/shop to purchase weapons and equipments by approaching the terminal, and press "E" . Notice that you will be given several seconds to prepare, so choose wisely. You can also buy "augments" that will give you additional perks. Note that these perks do not stack and even if you purchase it, you still can purchase it again, but it won't have additional effect. (You can see "Weapons" and "Augments" label, try to look for it around) Find the terminal, approach it, then press "E" You can buy anything you want (just try it out and see what suits you). The Credits (money) here will increase whenever you kill dinos. Your Credits here is only for this session only. 4.After all weapons are ready, you can go to generator and protect it as wave of dinosaurs roam in. After each wave, you can buy new weapons/ammo for a limited time (60 seconds), then the shop will be locked until you finish the current wave. If you die in a wave, don't worry. You will respawn in the next wave. You will get vehicle in a certain wave, where you have to capture a base. After standing on the ground near the objective that needs to be captured, a vehicle will spawn near the building. Also, you can instant teleport back to base by pressing "5" and left click the teleporter. So to sum it up, your objectives are to stay alive, keep the generator running, kill all dinosaurs and finish the wave! Right clicking when holding weapon enables you to zoom in. Handgun has infinite ammo, use it well. If you have more money at the start, I suggest go for Primary Weapon first (either which one is up to you to select) , then head to Secondary. As game proceeds, you can try to buy new weapons that cost more credits. Need ammo/health ? To buy more AMMO, go to WEAPON barrack/building, find the terminal, press E, then head to ITEMS tab, then purchase AMMO for 500 CREDITS. This ammo replenish all your weapons. To buy more HEALTH, look at this image, beside the red circle, there's a health kit. If you have spare time between waves, try to look out at some other options available. You can even buy some upgrades to boost your character's skills! Each classes in Orion Dino Horde has it's own special abilities and equipments, such as grenades (damaging and stunning), cloaking device and jetpacks, and so on. Choose what best suite you. For Assault Class: Your primary advantage is the Jetpacks. Jetpacks could guide you to higher places that medium-sized ground dinosaur can't reach. However, large dinosaurs can stomp the ground and send you to the air, or throw some rocks at you. Medium sized dinos can spit poisonous liquid as well. Flying dinosaurs can swoop you down, damaging or even taking you to the air. Click the image to enlarge it. For Support Class: Starts using a revolver, Support class can heal and repair objects/player very fast. You have medicgun, and it can be used to quickly revive fallen teammates, heal them (no other class can do it beside you) , and even repair generators and vehicles (need spesific perk in some cases which can be accessed from a shop). Also, in order to heal teammates, switch to heal/repair gun as Support Class, by pressing CTRL, then press RIGHT CLICK to heal self and LEFT CLICK to heal another object (car) /player. Click the image to enlarge it. For Recon Class: Recons can use their cloak to remain invisible. You can use this cloaking technique to "fool" the dinosaurs. Activate it and they will ignore you. The invisibility will break if you shoot/attack. Combine recon class with sniper and you will be deadly. Remember, these are basic guides for vehicles, not intermediate/veteran guides. Basic controls for vehicle: Aim your mouse towards the direction. If you press "W" to go forward, aim the direction using your mouse. Use "SHIFT" to burst in certain vehicle Use "CTRL" to switch view Use "C" to switch between seats Using tanks, use either left/right click to fire. How to find/earn the vehicle Each time you completed the objective to capture a base in Survival Mode, you will be given vehicles (usually right beside the building). Starting from simple vehicle, to more advanced, like tanks, mechs, and eventually helicopter. Remember, to switch seat instantly while in vehicle, press C (for example from driver to turret position). To find the vehicle, simply go to the objective marker shown in your screen, and finish the objective (defending the area) then when it has finished, the vehicle will spawn next to the building close to the objective. Use this vehicle to your advantage. How to maximize the potential of vehicle These vehicles can give GREAT advantages in getting rid of dinosaurs. You can either ram them (running over them, only small dinosaurs though, not larger than the vehicle itself) or shoot the dinosaurs with turret. Ramming smaller dinosaurs , in my opinion, is the best method to kill smaller dinosaurs (instant death to rammed dinosaurs). Be careful not to ram larger dinosaurs (like T-Rex) since it won't as much as effective as ramming small ones. Also your vehicle might get attacked/smashed by them, risking you to lose it. Make sure to repair your vehicle, use Support class to do that! Also, at the final waves you can get helicopters. Helis are good to cover most areas and take down large dinosaurs, such as T-Rex. Be careful for the flying dinosaurs! (a simple term for you to remember :) ) For extra additional information, you can go to the next section about brief information on dinosaur's type and classes' tips. This Gamemode explanation is taken from: Explanation of Game Modes From Lizard, the contributor. Here is the explanation regarding other game modes. Team Elimination - Recon Class Only, Stealth with bows and knifes and energy carbines. King of the Hill - Support Class Only, Heavy Weapons, Capture center point Free For All - Assault Class Only, Jetpacks and Rocket Launchers, First to hit kill limit wins. Additional information can also be obtained by these videos: http://dinohorde.com/modes Dinosaur Tips For me personally, I do not create a dinosaur guide here, because basically all we have to do with the dinosarus is just to shoot 'em all/kill them. Just be careful of several dinosaurs, some of them could have ranged attacks (splashing acid liquid and hurting players) even if you are several meters above the ground. Some big dinosaurs can stomp the ground throws you/dama
