How to win most of the game

Pretty simple: you choose a hero, kill enemies, gain exp, choose skills, kill stronger enemies. You aim with your mouse but by moving it to the lower/upper part of the screen, you activate auto mode. After a couple of games I switched entirely to auto. You get all by playing the game. Most of them are about killing bosses and winning a game (Abbyses). Some are about getting skills, combos or collecting enemies. Some are about defeating 100 bosses or dying 10 times. I’m not explaining every one of them here. I’ll mention a few below. First you have only Hunter to play, the rest you unlock by playing (not sure how exactly). Each has different starting skills and one special skill. Ice Wizard, Tamer, Shieldman are from DLC. Winning an Abbys 5 with a hero grants an achievement (per hero, DLC excluded). Every time you level up you choose one of 3 random skills. Skills have „rarities”: No frame – only one skill „Rebirth” that gives you an extra life. Red – the best ones, hardest to max out. Purple – good ones, you should have at least half of them by the end of the run. Blue, Green, Grey – no problem with max level during a run. Later in the game you unlock 10 rerolls and 8 bans. Bans are for a whole run, rerolls reset every stage. Skills have 5 levels. Some skills are mostly useless, for example: Black Armor is great, but levels 1-4 are -250*4 HP, while level 5 is very good. But it’s red so you should avoid it unless you are going for infinite. Egg does nothing until level 5. Then it’s bad anyway. Both of these give you an achievement for max level. First time you choose a skill you unlock it in Skill Codex. Getting them all gives you an achievement. Some skills (at a certain level) can unlock a Combo skill. You can find all of them in Skill Codex (Combos), but in case you’re missing something, the image is below: Skill Combos are not as powerful as you might think. It’s nice to have most of them, but I never aimed for any. There is one achievement for unlocking (or getting?) a combo Punish skill. It requires 5 lvl Autoguard + Judgement (any lvl). There is not much to say about normal enemies. Bats are flying so they will not be stopped by Spiked Wall spell. Some mushrooms attack from a distance. That’s pretty much all I remember... Boss apears in every 20 round of a stage. They are the ones with health bar in the center of the screen, not above them. Under the health bar, there is a blue bar that indicates when the boss is going to attack (so you can use a damage reduction (2) or dodge (5) potion). The last normal boss (Guardian in Castle) also has a yellow bar that indicates when he will „Judge” you ( achievement for that ). I guess it’s just a strong attack. Some of them have more than one HP bar (Guardian has like 7?), some go through your armor, Centipede (Dungeon) poisons you a lot, Mammoth summons previous bosses from that stage. There is an achievement for beating every boss in the game. By killing an enemy there is a chance to „collect” it. Collection of enemies is accessible from the main menu. I don’t know exactly how it works, but I got most of them by the end. There is a „Gacha” mechanic that gives you a random enemy you don’t own in exchange for 15b of gold. 3 achievements for that. You may need to enter collection to trigger them. Game has two systems that provide permanent boosts. Both are accessible from the main menu. Upgrades cost money and are about stats in game. Attack power, attack speed, etc. Nothing complicated. You also buy there pernament potions. Masteries can increase the same stats, but they also improve your skills, your heroes, rerolls and bans. Some of them have only one level, some have more. You unlock a mastery once with gold (from killing enemies), then upgrade it using silver stars (from killing elites and bosses). I suggest going around 20 level of infinite just to farm them. I have unlocked everything by now, but I’m sitting at basically 0 stars and a lot of gold. After winning normal game (Castle) you unlock Infinite mode and Abysses. Infinite mode lets you play as long as you want. I went up to level 27 the first time I beat Castle. I could go even higher, but this mode is too boring. Strategy is pretty clear – first you focus on getting all skills, then you just reroll to get 50% +/- curses. The ones that don’t reduce your max HP. You should probably at least once get to around level 20 of infinite to farm gold and stars. Abysses are harder then normal game. You need to beat every one up to 20 to win the game. Every level means new difficulty. You start with 100 less max HP, enemies are stronger, etc. The fifth abbys unlocks Dungeon – new stage after Castle. You need to win this abbys with every free hero to get achievements. Last Abbys (20) has one more boss – the mage from game’s prologue. I was there once, didn’t even notice whether he attacked me. After winning you get an achievement, then you watch end credits and get another achievement. I gathered it in Tierlist: https://tiermaker.com/create/legacy-of-defence-2026-skills-19785237 Spell images were cropped with ChatGPT so it’s not perfect. I am too lazy to do it by myself :) Spells within each tier are in random order. Take it when you see it The best skills. I wanted to have them in every run. Good I got those in every run and tried to have them at max level by the last stage. Take it if there is nothing else Most of these you will get eventually, but don’t focus on them. Take only 1 You need Acid rain to activate your Anger and Avenge. Others are just helpful. Dodge By Abbys 12 (-5% dodge) I decided to avoid these spells. In infinite mode, however, dodge is good for stacking attack power. Bad If there’s nothing else and you don’t have any rerolls you pick them. Insta ban There are more skills from the Bad tier that I banned a lot, but these are the ones I consider the most useless. Once again this is for Hunter. With other heroes, the strategy should be very similar. Wizard, for example, would probably pick Thunder and Thunderstorm which I put into Insta ban tier. Fullscreen Windowed is what I would love to have. Infinite mode is boring. I played it once until stage 27 just to farm gold and stars. At the very least, make a button for auto-aim and auto-picking spells/curses. And make it harder. Abbyses shouldn’t be stat-centred because at some point they all feel the same. Every Abbys could have unique modifiers. For example: Attack power and attack speed are switched. You start with all spell pets (level 1) in place of hero starting spells. Curses appear from stage 2. You gain a random spell every time you level up. Number of spells you choose from is random. Auto-aim is disabled. Something like that would force you to change strategy. But overall not bad, money well spend. --- Источник: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3790016974
