Tricks can completely change how a hand plays out, giving you new ways to influence your cards, your chips, your opponents, and the final result. In One Last Hand, Tricks come in two main forms: Permanent Tricks and Single-Use Tricks . Permanent Tricks stay with you throughout the round and can be used across multiple hands, while Single-Use Tricks are consumed after being used once. Permanent Tricks are also divided into three tiers, each represented by a different frame around the Trick icon. This guide covers how the Trick system works, explains the tier differences, and provides a complete overview of every Permanent and Single-Use Trick available in the game. Tricks in One Last Hand are divided into two types: Permanent Tricks and Single-Use Tricks. Both come from the same Trick pool, but they work very differently once acquired. Permanent Tricks Permanent Tricks remain available for the entire round. Their effects can be used or triggered across multiple hands, allowing them to become a lasting part of your strategy. Some Permanent Tricks provide passive effects, while others influence specific cards, hands, or situations. Single-Use Tricks Single-Use Tricks are temporary. They can be activated during a hand, but once used, they are consumed and removed from your available Tricks. When Single-Use Tricks are distributed, the player with the lowest score receives theirs first. Distribution then continues from the lowest-scoring player upward, giving players who are behind the first opportunity to receive a Trick. Because you only get one use, choosing the right moment to activate them can make a big difference. In short: Permanent Tricks stay with you throughout the round, while Single-Use Tricks are used once and then disappear. Permanent Tricks in One Last Hand are divided into three tiers: Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. You can identify a Permanent Trick’s tier by the frame surrounding its icon. Each tier has its own distinct frame, making it easy to recognize at a glance. Tiers do not always represent completely different Tricks. Some Permanent Tricks have multiple tier versions, with the same core effect becoming stronger as the tier increases. Higher tiers may offer stronger values, additional uses, or more impactful versions of an existing effect, while some Tricks may also be unique to a specific tier. Tier 1 The basic level of Permanent Tricks, usually featuring simpler effects or fewer uses. Tier 2 Stronger or improved Permanent Tricks, often with increased values or additional uses. Tier 3 The highest tier, featuring the strongest versions of upgradeable Tricks and some of the most impactful Permanent Trick effects in the game. These Tricks generally provide straightforward effects, lower values, or fewer uses compared to their higher-tier versions. Some Tier 1 Tricks also serve as the starting version of effects that become stronger in Tier 2 or Tier 3. Below you can find all Tier 1 Permanent Tricks and a breakdown of what each one does. At the beginning of every round, receive +3 Silver Coin from the dealer. Straights can be formed even with missing ranks in between. Deal +2 damage, but take +1 additional damage. Ace can wrap around when forming a Straight (Q, K, A, 2, 3). Each round, you may discard 1 card and draw 1 random card up to 2 times. Prevent lethal damage once and restore to full HP. When acquired, immediately and at the start of each phase, gain +1 Golden Chip. Adds 250 to your hand score in every fight round. Changes the selected card's suit to match any other card in your hand. Two Pair hands are scored as Flush hands. When acquired, immediately and at the start of each phase, gain +1 HP. Darkshifter: Turns the selected card into a Club or Spade. Redshifter: Turns the selected card into a Heart or Diamond. Steal 3 Silver Chips from each player you attack. If you knock them out, steal 5 instead. Tier 2 Permanent Tricks offer stronger, more specialized, or upgraded effects compared to Tier 1. Some are improved versions of lower-tier Tricks, while others introduce entirely new ways to influence your cards, scoring, or hand-building strategy. For all ranks, Clubs count as Spades, and Spades count as Clubs. Even ranked cards (2, 4, 6, 8, 10) score 4x points. Transforms one face card (J, Q, or K) into another. Odd ranked cards (3, 5, 7, 9) score 5x points. If your hand contains 4 different suits, score 2x points. Each round, you may discard 1 card and draw 1 random card up to 3 times. For all ranks, Diamonds count as Hearts, and Hearts count as Diamonds. If your hand has no cards above 10, all cards score 3x points. Tier 3 Permanent Tricks represent the highest tier of Permanent Tricks. They include the strongest versions of upgradeable Tricks as well as unique effects that can significantly change how you build or score a hand. Each round, you may discard 1 card and draw 1 random card up to 4 times. Transforms one card between 2 and 10 into a face card (J, Q, or K). Straight hands are scored as Straight Flush hands.
