The default character, known as Bobby Gonzales is the optimal way to play the game but you're free to choose other main character. There are 6 main characters to choose from and all of them have adequate abilities to complete the game. Main characters are categorized based on their genetics profile: 1) Fury have physical skills bonus and they have the highest strength attribute. Each time the main characters with Fury genetics perform any physical skills such as unarmed combat, they will get bonus in experience points. This allows them to improve physical skills much faster. Since most part of the game revolves around combat, it's highly recommended to choose character with fury genetics. 2) Muse Infused have muse skills bonus and they have the highest agility attribute. Each time the main characters with Muse Infused genetics perform any muse skills such as fashion, they will get bonus in experience points. This allows them to improve muse skills much faster. Choosing them might not be optimal for the game but since they have higher agility, that translates to higher action points. Higher action points means they have a higher chance to attack first in combat and they can do more action in a single turn. For instance with 70 AP, they can punch twice and end it with a kick in a single turn. 3) Bedazzled have tycoon skills bonus and they have the highest endurance attribute. Each time the main characters with Bedazzled genetics perform any tycoon skills such as trade, they will get bonus in experience points. This allows them to improve tycoon skills much faster. Choosing them might not be optimal for the game but since they have higher endurance, that translates to higher health points. Higher health points means they can survive much longer in a combat. 4) Intellect have intellect skills bonus.and they have the highest mind attribute. Each time the main characters with Intellect genetics perform any intellect skills such as law, they will get bonus in experience points. This allows them to improve intellect skills much faster. Choosing them might not be optimal for the game. This could be the hardest main character to play in the game as they have lower strength than the rest of the main characters. A large portion of the game revolves around combat so a complete understanding of how the combat works will minimize frustration and allow you to even abuse the game mechanics in order to survive much longer in difficult fight. 1) Combat takes place in turns which means you and opponent will take turn to attack each other. The order of whose going to attack first is decided based on agility attribute. If both of you and opponent have the same agility, the game will choose to allow you to attack first. 2) For every attack, the game will roll a number from 0 to 99. This number will be compared against CTH (chance to hit) number of attacker. If the roll number is lower than CTH number, the attack is considered successful so the attacker will cause damage to target. Otherwise, the attack is considered missed so target will be able to dodge the attack. Because of this mechanics, it's possible attack might miss several times in a row. This is normal. Early part of the game can be frustrating due to lots of misses but as you earn more XP (experience points) in combat, you'll be able to increase your chance to hit opponent. 3) Karma is the new mechanics introduced in later versions of the game to give advantage to player. It'll give 5 to 20% fixed penalty to roll number. This will reduce roll number. Successful attack will only happen if roll number falls below CTH number. You can improve karma by doing good deed such as donating to people. Currently you can donate to bum at city park. 4) CTH (chance to hit) number is based on total XP (experience points) of certain skill which means CTH number for punch or kick will be different than CTH number for iron pipe attack. This means if you want to increase CTH number for punch or kick, you have to keep using punch or kick during attack. 5) Later you'll face several opponents at the same time. Some allies can join you in the combat to provide support. This is called squad combat as it requires certain tactics to win the combat. The best tactics is to concentrate attack on a single target instead of attacking multiple targets at the same time. 6) On most combat encounters, you have to defeat the opponent. Losing is not an option. Otherwise, your character will die. However, there are a few combat encounters where it is possible to lose without incurring game over such as fighting at the fight club, fighting Sheera at martial art club or special encounter against possessed girl. You start the game in front of Xavier's office to witness a strange woman exiting the office. Click or tap map button on top right of the screen to open Map Screen. You'll find the location of Xavier's room. Walk in front of the room and then click or tap the door to interact with it. When you interact with the door, you'll find out Xavier is lying on the floor dead so you need to get out of the office as soon as possible. So go in front of the office and interact with the front door to exit out of office. You'll return to your home. When you switch on the TV, you'll find out that you're the main suspect for the murder of Xavier. This is not good so you have to get out of your home. Before that, you need to switch from office cloth to casual cloth. So go to your bed room and interact with the dresser. After you switch to casual cloth, interact with the front door to exit from your home. You need to get out from the building so walk to the front door of the building. You can refer to Map Screen to find out the location of the front door. Just as you approach the front door, a federal agent, Nick Jagger tries to apprehend you. However, a black cat shows up out of nowhere to distract him which allows you the chance to escape. Now, you're a fugitive as federal agents started to hunt you. The game will automatically moves 4 months forward. You're now at a motel and someone has been knocking the door. Interact with door to find out who that person is. The guy introduces himself as Rudolfo and he's willing to smuggle you to Dream City. There's a vigilante group known as FFG that wants to help you. You agree to his offer. This will conclude the prologue. Quest - Vigilante Contact and Fugitive Case You start the act at the campsite in the forest. You're supposed to meet Anna from FFG but she's nowhere to be found. Rudolfo asked you to look for her at the abandoned flat. To go to the abandoned flat, open Map Screen to find exit to Cove District. Rudolfo also gave bad news that federal agent has been spotted at the city. As long as you're wearing the current casual cloth, the agent will not find you so you're safe for now. You can talk to Rudolfo again to buy iron pipe but that's optional. Iron pipe can be used in combat to deal a much higher damage compared to punch or kick. However it's highly recommended for you to focus on punch and kick for early part of the game. This is because you need to improve unarmed combat skill to at least 50% to have higher chance to complete the upcoming quests at the fight club. Take note the whole island is separated to 9 districts. If you're outside on the street, open Map Screen. There should be globe button that will open Dream City Map: 1) Star Hill comprises of plenty of shops, cinema, art theatre and hypermarket. You can buy soap from cosmetic shop. You can buy food supplies such as raw chicken from hypermarket. 2) Old District comprises of low cost housing, shops and lots of factories. You can buy food supplies such as eggs from cake & pastry shop. You can buy food supplies such as bread from 24 hours shop. Safe house for FFG can be found at Old District flat B Block. 3) Cove District comprises of church, cemetery, abandoned flat, asylum and fishing village.
