Mulderland is a project focused on video game preservation and modernization. It provides MulderLoad installers. These installers are: developed with NSIS (Nullsoft Sciptable Install System) open-source (everything is on Github) built directly on Github (thanks to Github Actions) The philosophy behind the project is to provide an opinionated, curated list of mods, fixes, and improvements for each game in order to deliver a modern (yet still vanilla) experience. Here, I present my Enhancement Pack for Dino Crisis 2. It includes everything required for Classic REbirth to work: Windows XP Patch Classic REbirth DLL Missing/Corrupted files fix Automatic disable of dinput.dll Automatic set language=japanese in the .ini (steam version only) It can also optionally install High-Quality Movies & High-Quality SFX. This enhancement pack is compatible with the Steam version and the GOG (Japanese) version. Dino Crisis 2 Classic REbirth is a set of patches made by the Classic REbirth Team. All credits go to them . I'm only trying to make the installation process easier and more accessible. It has the following advantages over the regular Steam or GOG version (source: PCGW) Replaces DirectDraw 7 with Direct3D 9, for improved compatibility with modern GPUs (and prevents rundll32.exe/GameUX from executing for no good reason). Replaces DirectInput 7.00 with new input methods such as XInput, RawInput, DirectInput 8.00, and native keyboard support. Replaces DirectSound with XAudio2. Replaces DirectShow video playback with a custom FFmpeg-based player that requires no codecs. Replaces buggy full screen mode with borderless window and fixes the aspect ratio to be locked to 4:3. Replaces broken context switching module to avoid crashes at boot or in other random spots. Fixes frame rate issue to provide smooth 20/30/60 FPS support. Removes the need to install the game, making it portable to another PC just by copying the data. Restores missing, broken, or butchered graphical effects. Restores correct music loops, missing sound effects, and generally improves volume levels. Reworks the option screen in order to be able to fully remap controls, and change BGM/SFX volume levels. Optionaly includes High Quality Movies & High Quality SFX (included in my installer) Sadly, it is still not compatible with the ongoing Texture Pack called "Rex-HD Project" (which still need some work). I will of course update this Enhancement Pack when this project will be done. 1) Get the latest version of the installer here: https://www.mulderland.com/games/dino-crisis-2 Click on "Download" to get the file "dino-crisis-2-enhancement-pack.exe" 2) Run the installer Double click on the executable. No need to run it as admin. If the installer refuses to run, read the section "A MulderLoad installer refuses to run" on my help page: https://www.mulderland.com/help 3) Follow instructions Screen 1 : Screen 2 : click the button, then select the Dino.exe inside the "japanese" folder Screen 3 : here, you can check HQ Movies (highly recommended) and HQ SFX, if you want Screen 4: It's done! The installer also sets the game ini automatically in "japanese" if it was not the case already. It is necessary for Classic REbirth to work.
