Upgrading your gear from 130 to 140 will take increasingly more resources, which is when the gear vendors & faction vendors will finally make themselves useful. Besides simply collecting resources from strongboxes, enemies, & mission rewards, you will be able to use fragments to purchase resources that you need to upgrade when you need "just a little more" to be able to upgrade gear to the next power level. Overall, it can be a little bit of a grind on these last 10-20 power levels, but if you pick one main character to use for the main mission chains, you should be able to easily get this achievement in the process of completing the other achievements. Unlike other gear that have power levels, major artifacts give a +1 to your hero's overall power level, up to a maximum of 10. Requirements for maxing out an Artifact: 12,806 Fragments; 640 Polychoron. Unlike other resources, Polychoron can't be farmed endlessly. The only ways to get it other than occasional progression is through faction assignments and daily villain sectors. As it can take a while to get Polychoron, make sure you're only putting it into one artifact! Powering your other characters a bit can be tempting but it's not worth the extra grind you'll have to do to get one artifact up to 10. Investing in the Future Fully upgrade any gear item In order to upgrade an item, it must be epic (purple) or higher rarity, and at least power level 100. You also need a second piece of gear that meets the same requirements but is also higher level than the first piece and is also the same type (ie. goes into the same slot). You can then upgrade the lower power level item up to the same level of the second item by sacrificing it - an amount of fragments and upgrade modules will be needed depending on the power gap between the items.
