You can teleport to your Home Shrine by holding ( T ) and selecting "Home Shrine". You can change your Home Shrine by physically interacting with the biggest Shrine icon in each Home Zone, called "Petra Dei". (The big rectangular icon with a cross in the middle) All provinces are connected trough the province of Lyonesse, which has PvP enabled. Dangerous Stuff Don't try to swim long distances, you will run out of stamina and start losing health. Becareful with creatures other than Rabbits, Deers, Badgers, Foxes and Boars, specially the humanoid npcs they hit hard. Base Location A good base location is where those resources below is nearby: Trees (For lots of Charcoal) Animals, specially Deers and Boars (For Leatherworking, Tailoring and Armorsmithing) Flax (For Tailoring and everything else?) Clay Impure Iron Deposits and Iron Deposits (For Tools, Weapons and Armor) Bonus if its close to the Wildlands, where you can find Iron Deposits and Pure Iron Deposits. Gathering Resources Collecting/Gathering/Crafting Items unlocks new Recipes! You can disable most of the Foliage and make it easier to find stuff by going to: [UserProfile\AppData\Local\PaxDei\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini] Open "GameUserSettings.ini" and change "sg.FoliageQuality=0" and set it to 0 (zero). Use Map Markers to mark the spot of important resources that are rare or difficult to find, for example: Animals Respawns Clay, Pure Iron Deposit Garlic, Mushrooms, Yellow Onions Level up Carpentry to unlock the Decorated Chest, you will need lots of it to store resources. Tools have 2 types of durabilities: The Current Durability of the tool and the Lifetime Durability of the tool, everytime you repair an item it will take some of the Lifetime Durability, when it reaches 0 it won't be able to get repaired and you can throw it away. (There's no recycling method yet) You will need multiple Furnaces (to smelt ores) and Charcoal Kilns (to produce Charcoal). Cooking Skill and the foods are great to increase your Health/Stamina and regen. Building Build the Floors on top of Foundations before placing objects, otherwise you will need to remove the objects to be able to. Use the Log Pillars and Beams to plan out your building. Don't place objects too near your planned walls, it may block you from building the wall later. Game Progression 1st Progression Wall: Acquiring Heartwood from T2 trees to be able to craft T3 Tools. 2nd Progression Wall: Acquiring Animal Hides (Small, Normal, Large) to be turned into Boiled Leather to be able to craft anything above level 20 in ?most/all? skills. Leveling Skills Always craft the easiest and cheapest thing available that give you EXP, that way you won't waste tons of resources.
