Just some minor tips that helped me with the very, very anoying jousting achievements in Retro mode. The most important tip, use Wolfric the Wild as your hero, that will help a lot with some behind the scenes RNG stats. Second thing. Use a controller, this is almost manditory since your lance will be a lot more steady and it will be a lot easier to line it up with the center of the shield at the right time. Challange de Bois first (I don't know for certian that it will be easier, but my limited testing says that it might, you do want to beat him for the achievement so better to get it right away). Now when the joust start. Don't move at all in the begining, after a few seconds and bounces of your lance, when the other horse is getting closer just move the lance slightly to your left so it's in the middle of his shield. Don't click anything, just try and centre it. If you beat de Bois the others should probably be easier if you just do the same thing again. Otherwise just do a new joust with the trash tier oponents like Longsword. You'll get to it eventually.
