Update 13.07.2025 added Abyss, Void Eye and Mountain, acording to the developers the roster ist now complete added some additions techs variantes (armor) corrected some bugs One thing I noticed while adding Void Eye, it's a unit that wins many matchups but often gets a C-Rating, meaning it barely survives. So little changes like a health buff or a tech can make a huge difference. I also looked at the matchups ruy suggested. I added armor tech to some matchups, where it made a difference, added Fortress rocket punch, which changes the matchups with Crawlers, Fangs, Steelballs, Stormcallers and the Sandworm. And I added Saberthooths techs Doubleshot (great againts giants) and Secondary Armament (good against Hound and Void Eye). Update 01.03.2025 added Hound Update 16.02.2025 added Phantom Ray and Raiden added a blank for the upcoming unit Hound added some new techs checked ratings of Saberthooth, due to ist new role Update 17.10.24: added Tarantula and Farseer improved the text naming the units Update 13.07.24 all new units are integrated (Fire Badger, Typhoon, Sabertotth and Sandworm) added some more tech related ratings (Fortress and Overlord) added additional examples on how to read the Unit Matrix Update 12.02.24 I finally updated the Unit Matrix and changend some things based on your feedback. Of course the three new units are now integrated The units are now in the official order like in the ingame unit modification screen The colors changed, red is now indicated as bad, green is good and purple is the hard counter. The name of the units now appear in the top row I added a fluid rating for some untis, because it turns out, the outcome of the duel varies with the positioning of the units I have to mention one thing regarding the Scorpion. It has several tech, that help it defeat Fortress and Melting Point, if only one of them is picked. Many techs help the unit to perform better, but they do not change the result of the duel. Many tech of the Scorpion does. Maybe there are more, I didn't check every comination, because the result was often very clear. But if you now other tech that turns the tide, let me know in the comments. Do you ever wonder, what units do good or poor against another in one on one combat? Which are the counters and where can I see them on one page. You don’t want to spend your time on the testing grounds or in countless battles, to figure it all out by yourself? Wait no more, here is the Mechabellum Unit Matrix I always matched the units with similar costs. For example, a fortress costs 400, when matched with a Marksman, which costs 100, there will be four Marksman against one Fortress. Its designed like a tier list, meaning S is the best and basically the hard counter against the opposing unit. A means the unit does a pretty good job and wins with most of their HP left. With B the unit still wins, but is damaged (about 50% HP left). C is even worse, meaning the unit barely survives the fight and positioning can be critical. D means, the unit will lose the fight but still damage the opponent and E is simply a “do not use”, e.g. Sledgehammer against any arial unit, but also Crawler against an Arclight. With this said, the matrix is read like this. You start at a row, e.g. Crawlers and then look at the matchups in every column. Against Marksman it is a A. Against Waps it is an E, because Crawler have no anti air. And against the War Factory it is an D/B, meaning without any tech you loose. But if you use the tech acid, then it is a B, because then 8 Crawlers are able to defeat one War Factory. Another example, Fang vs Steelballs. Two units of Fangs beat one unit of Stellballs with a C rating, meaning that the barely win and only a few survive. The Steelball has nonetheless a D rating, because it lost. Most of the air units get a S-Rating, when facing ground only units. In some cases this rating is lowerd to A. This happens when the air unit isn't able to defeat the ground unit until it destorys the HQ starting its way from its own HQ. This is manly the case with wraith due to its chaff clear role. There are some other units, that have tech, that can turn the fight against specific units. For example the anti air tech of the Arclight that enables it to defeat wasps. There are some footnotes in the unit matrix, that need explaning. The * means that this matchup varies depending on the unit placement. For example in the Mustang vs. Stormcallers setup the placement of the mustang can make the difference, if some Mustangs survive the first attack and are able to defeat the Stormcallers. The ** in the matchup Hacker vs. Rhino means, that a Hacker will lose in one on one combat, but add other units to shield it, it is a very good counter to Rhinos. The *** in the Scorpion matcup against Fortress and Melting Point means, that you can choose from one of the displayed tech and then will be able to defeat the Giants. You’ll see, the Matrix isn’t perfect and the game will always throw a mix of units at you. So, take it as a first indication of the capabilities of all units and keep in mind, that some combinations will have strong synergies, that can’t be put in a simple matrix. Enough of foreplay, here is the Mechabellum Unit Matrix I hope this is helpful for all those who start with the game of those who want to understand the different units better. I for myself was surprised by some of the matchups on the testing grounds, because in a real game the strength and weaknesses don't show so obvious due to all the synergies between the units. Please feel free to comment, improve or correct the matrix. Update 29.05.23: Corrected some inconsistencies and mistakes in the matrix Update 12.02.24: Rework of the Unit Matrix with 3 new units and some improvements Update 13.07.24: Added the 4 new units to the Unit Matrix. Added the results of using fang production on Fortress and wasp production on Overlord. Calirified the rating system with a additional example Update 17.10.24: Added Tarantula and Farseer and improved the text naming the units Update 16.02.25: Added Phantom Ray and Raiden and did some minor improvements Update 01.03.25: Added Hound Update 13.07.25: Addes Abyss, Void Eye and Mountain, added some extra tech variants --- Источник: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2981751067
