So, you unlocked Ikarus because it looks cool. You tried the flying thing, rushed into the enemy team, did some damage, got instakilled, instaleft the game, then never touched him again ? Yeah. I've been there, I know... BUT! Ikarus is fast, fun and probably one of the most annoying tanks to play against when used correctly. The problem is that it's also very easy to die with and feel useless. As stated in the description, this guide has a short tldr section, and a more semi in depth explanation on Ikarus. Following next is the TLDR and build screenshots, for you guys with less time to waste! Ikarus is not a frontline tank, Your mobility is your armor, Hit → run → reposition, Look for isolated, damaged or distracted enemies, Use flight for positioning, attacks and escapes, Always think about where you're going to land, Save your energy for when you actually need it, Don't chase a kill if it puts you in a terrible position, After shooting, assume the enemy knows where you are, In the late game, use your mobility to clean up and control the map, Most importantly: you don't need to win every fight. Just make sure you choose the fights you take, As long as you get some HP from an enemy, or just reveal them, you won the trade, USE PINGS TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR TEAM!! Always assume they are blind and your are the only one that can see. Tech Points: Components & Shells: TLDR ON BUILD: The build focuses on being as slippery as possible, while still having some damage and sustain, speed, reload speed, camouflage, and spotting power. The camo capstone in the tree is the best imo, it lets you scount in flight without getting spotted and sniped right away. Points in the Tech Tree are almost all locked in, you can move around something to get max hp , if you feel like it helps, but i always use those in the screenshot. Better to learn and get confortable using the same thing. Same for Components and Shells, if you find yourself having better results you could use the one that gives use 6% camo from Ark, or use silenced ammo insteam of explosive, anything else is troll. EARLY GAME Spawn phase and the first minute of the game : As you spawn in, try to get the ammo spawn if it's nearby, just to help your allies while you wait for the cooldown of your skill to finish. Look around the minimap to see where the majority of your team is going, and take flight in that general direction, trying to spot the majority of the enemy team. This simple move will give you and your team an enormous advantage in the early game. Don't be the first guy into the fight. Once you've got your information, think about where to land. I usually land inside a bush in the middle of the map and wait for an enemy to come out of cover to shoot them and get some HP early. Get information, see where the enemy team is going, and look for an opening. USE PINGS TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR TEAM !!! MID GAME Once the teams are split up : This is where the fun starts. Now you become a real bomber jet. You should now look for damaged tanks, enemies fighting your teammates, isolated targets, tanks that are out of position, and players who are trying to retreat. Keep your eyes open for one of these situations, and choose. Your aim from afar isn't great, so shoot only if you know you will hit, or try to get closer. You have high camo, so it should not be a problem. Take flight if you see a heavy tank out of position with medium to low HP, land behind them and shoot. You will, most of the time, outrun them and either kill them or do a lot of damage. You counter heavy tanks with Ikarus . If you ever get too low, just fly away. Try to avoid medium tanks, they are your counter, they have great mobility, damage and armor. Especially Ark, I HATE ARK! . LATE GAME aka don't tunnel vision one tank across half the map just because he's at 20% HP : At this point, normally there are 2 or 3 enemies left, and you probably won't know where they all are. If killing the enemy with 20% HP means you are flying into an Ark that is in the bush behind him, just don't. Always wait for your teammates or the enemy to make a wrong move, then go in. Late game, your mobility becomes even more valuable. You can rotate, finish damaged targets, contest objectives and generally make the enemy's life miserable, as they will probably be busy doing something else instead of looking for a small green bird in the sky or in a tree. Just remember that having low HP doesn't mean you have to play scared. It's probably the best time to bait the remaining enemies! If nothing is happening you can always try to cap enemy base, just land there to scare them and force them into a bad position trying to contest or stop you. If you're undecided about which charm to use, remember that this is canonically the only one a true Ikarus main can wear... Good luck, and have fun making the enemy wonder where the hell you came from! Enjoyed the guide? If this helped you get a few more games out of Ikarus before quitting, consider adding the guide to your favorites and liking it. And if you REALLY liked it, feel free to leave an award. It would make me happy! :) --- Источник: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3797035906
