If you have a multi hard drive setup for installing steam games on different drives I moved the contents of Supreme Commander from my D drive (where a majority of my steam games are installed) to my C drive. I think this is one of those games where if you don't have it installed on the main hard drive it creates some problems. I have a few other games that do this as well that are quite old so I randomly gave this one a shot and it worked. Hopefully this helps some of you out if you happen upon this guide.
