///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Controller support for the menus. ================================= KEYBOARD - Press the "Up Arrrow" or "Down Arrow" key to move the cursor up/down AND left/right (depending on the screen's layout). - Press the "Enter Key" ("Return Key") to select the button that the cursor is next to. MOUSE - Move the pointer over the top of a button and left-click on it to select it. TOUCHSCREEN - (Same as mouse but using touch instead) JOYSTICK CONTROLLER (Windows 10/X-Box, Linux & MacOS) - Press the "D-Pad Up" or "D-Pad Down" to move the cursor up/down AND left/right (depending on the screen's layout). - Press the "A Button" to select that button. This is "Button 0" for Windows 10, but could be something different depending on your OS. - Use the D-Pad to move the cursor around (and not the 2 joystick studs). - You may have to toggle a button labeled something like "Mode". This swaps the input from the D-Pad to the 2 joystick studs and back. - On Windows/X-Box controllers, you may have to change the input settings (probably on the bottom of the controller) to "Xinput" and not "Direct Input". Most, if not all, games from 2005 use the "X" setting. Arrows will appear showing the way. - Press the Alphanumeric "1" key to use the knife. - Press the Alphanumeric "2" key to use the bullet. - Press the Alphanumeric "3" key to use the torch (under the ground). - Press the Alphanumeric "4" key to use the oxygen (under the water). - Press the Alphanumeric "5" key to use the grappling hook. MOUSE - You can use the mouse to do some quick actions instead of going into the pause menu. - Move the mouse pointer around the top 1/3 of the screen. When it goes over a button, the button will highlight itself. Left-Click on the mouse to select that button. Some of the buttons are on top of the UI graphics while other buttons are in-between or below the graphics. Just move the mouse pointer around to find the buttons. - "Audio On" - Turn the audio on (SFX and Music). On top of the stage numbers 1-2-3-4-5-6 bar (top-left of screen). - "Audio Off" - Turn the audio off (SFX and Music). On top of the coins amount bar (top-left of the screen). - "Knife", "Bullet", "Tourch", "Oxygen Tank", "Grappling Hook" and "Pause" - Buys 1 of the item. Buttons are on top of their respective icons (top-center of screen). - "Overlay Toggle" - This is just to the left of the keys bar. It does not have a icon (top-center of screen). - "Change Overlay" - This is just below the "Overlay Toggle" to the bottom-left corner of the keys bar. It does not have an icon (top-center of screen). - "Keys Cheat Toggle" - On top of the keys bar (top-right of the screen). - "Health" - Buys 1 of the character health. On top of the character's icon (top-right of the screen). TOUCHSCREEN - (Same as mouse but using touch instead) - The touchscreen overlay can be toggled on/off on the start menu, settings menu (from start menu), in the pause menu (during the game) or using the quick action. - "Overlay Toggle" - This is just to the left of the keys bar. It does not have a icon (top-center of screen). - "Change Overlay" - This is just below the "Overlay Toggle" to the bottom-left corner of the keys bar. It does not have an icon (top-center of screen).
