This guide is meant to help those looking to learn a little more about each of the characters and how to recruit them. It was originally meant to be a small part of larger guide that would cover everything but there was far too much information and Steam 's character count forced me to create an individual guide specifically for the characters ( working on others ). The order in which they are presented is based strictly on how they are listed in the Official Guide and please keep in mind that some of the recruitment descriptions could be considered spoilers so tread carefully ( though most have been worded in ways to avoid this ). I've also added colors to their names to make it easier to determine their Innate Elements at a glance. Combined Tech Skills are listed at the bottom. Images are from the game itself and the Official Guide (BradyGames) and were edited in Photoshop to Steam 's standards. Branding images and several others created by me. There are several branching points throughout Chrono Cross and certain characters are locked and become unavailable once you've chosen a particular path. Starting a ' New Game+ ' will allow you to choose the alternate path(s) and will allow you to obtain them all on subsequent playthroughs. More info on this can be found in the character's recruitment description and don't forget that New Game+ will allow you to obtain the characters you've missed on previous playthroughs. Build : Solid Weapon : Swallow/Mastermune Element : ⬛️ Black Recruitment : You will know how to recruit Lynx when the time is right... Build : Ordinary Weapon : Kitchen Utensils Element : 🟦 Blue Recruitment : After defeating Karsh , Salt , and Peppor at Cape Howl (Another World), refuse to let Kid join Serge . The next morning, Leena will join. ( if you let Kid join you the first time she asks at Cape Howl, Leena will not be available for recruitment. Kid will ask again later at Termina, so you might as will deny her the first time so you can obtain Leena. ) Attacks Age : 26 (M) Origin : Zenan Mainland Height : 6'2" Weight : 154 lbs. Build : Tall & Slender Weapon : Rod Element : ⬛️ Black Recruitment : In Termina (Another World), speak to the man polishing Viper 's statue, and then find Guile in the Termina bar. Tell him to take you to Viper Manor . ( Choosing Guile will make Nikki and Pierre unavailable to recruit for the remainder of the game. Build : Thin Weapon : Pick Element : 🟦 Blue Recruitment : In Termina (Another World), go on board the Magical Dreamer 's boat. Talk to Nikki 's Manager and Miki In the dressing room. Agree to search for Nikki in the Shadow Forest . There you'll find Nikki in a daze. When you rescue him from monsters, he'll lead you under a waterfall, then join your group. ( Choosing Nikki will make Guile and Pierre unavailable to recruit for the remainder of the game. New Game+ will allow you to choose the others on subsequent playthroughs. ) Attacks Age : 23 (M) Origin : Termina Height : 5'11" Weight : 130 lbs. Build : Weakling Weapon : Sword/Hero's Blade Element : 🟦 Blue Recruitment : Find Pierre in the back room of Zappa 's Smithy in Termina (Another World). Behind the Smithy, talk to the little boy running in circles after talking to the man polishing Viper 's statue. He found Pierre 's Hero's Medal and returns it freely. Return the Hero's Medal to Pierre , and then talk to him again. ( Choosing Pierre will make Guile and Nikki unavailable to recruit for the remainder of the game. New Game+ will allow you to choose the others on subsequent playthroughs. ) Attacks Age : 20 (M) Origin : Termina Height : 5'9" Weight : 141 lbs. Build : Average Weapon : Sword/Einlanzer (x2) Element : 🟩 Green Recruitment : The only bad thing about Glenn is that he's not easy to recruit, nor is the method obvious. When in Guldove , you must refuse to get the Hydra Humour to help Kid . Return to Termina with Macha , and observe Glenn 's conversation at the entrance of town. Then return to the boat and Glenn will ask if you want to share a boat ride. ( Note: If/when you choose to not save Kid - Korcha, Mel and Razzly will not be available to recruit for the remainder of the game. ) Attacks Age : 38 (F) Origin : Guldove Height : 5'6" Weight : 150 lbs. Build : Stout Weapon : Kitchen Utensils Element : 🟥 Red Recruitment : At Guldove (Another World), decide not to find the Hydra Humour to save Kid . Find Korcha at the residential towers. After Macha tells him off, she boats you back to Termina . After speaking to Glenn by the entrance of Termina , return to the boat docks and talk to Macha again. ( Note: If/when you choose to not save Kid - Korcha, Mel and Razzly will not be available to recruit for the remainder of the game. ) Attacks Age : 27 (M) Origin : Zenan Mainland Height : 5'9" Weight : 146 lbs. Build : Ordinary Weapon : Dagger Element : 🟥 Red Recruitment : Decide not to find the Hydra Humour to help Kid . Doc joins anytime after Kid is healed. Just return to Guldove (Another World) and speak with him. Build : Thin Weapon : Fishing Lure Element : 🟦 Blue Recruitment : Korcha boats you around for a while, but won't join unless you agree to help Kid . When he ferries you back to Termina (Another World), ask him to join. Build : Thin Weapon : Boomerang Element : 🟨 Yellow Recruitment : Choose to find Hydra Humour to save Kid. Choose to look for Mel when she steals Kid 's Elements. Find her in the Residential Tower, then return to Guldove (Another World) when Kid has rejoined the party near the end of the game and talk to Mel . ( Note: If/when you choose save Kid - Glenn, Macha and Doc will not be available to recruit for the remainder of the game. ) Attacks Age : Unknown (F) Origin : Water Dragon Isle Height : 3'7" Weight : 11 lbs. Build : Tiny Weapon : Rod/Floral Rod Element : 🟩 Green Recruitment : Agree to find the Hydra Humour to help Kid . Then in the Hydra Marshes (Home World), save her from the Pentapus . If you choose not to help Kid , Razzly will not be available for recruitment.
