How to Beat Hard Mode in Dagger Directive

In Dagger Directive, fighting enemies head-on is extremely dangerous. They can spot you peeking out from behind a wall in 300 ms, and kill you from over 200 meters away with two short bursts. They can hide almost anywhere: behind walls, under the shade of trees, or in the grass, always ready to give any player in their line of sight a little jump scare. And there can be as many as 50 or 60 of these guys in a single mission. So, how do we deal with these John Wicks? The answer is simple: either create an environment where we can shoot them, but they can't shoot us, or just avoid these Terminators altogether . Despite their extremely fast reaction time and incredible accuracy, these enemies almost never shoot at you from beyond 300m. When enemies are alerted, some of them will move toward the last position where you were spotted and open fire as soon as they see you. Even if you kill an enemy without being directly seen by anyone else, nearby enemies will still remember your position. However, this rule seems to stop working at long range. This is probably because the enemies have a limited sight range. We can use this to attack enemies from a safe distance without them being able to fight back. Before You Start Sniping 1. Good visibility. You should be able to see most of the enemy's area from your position. 2. Enough distance. Stay at least 250m away from the nearest place where enemies are likely to appear. 3. Few obstacles between you and the enemy area. You need to be able to see enemies slowly moving toward you. 4. No patrolling enemies nearby. Otherwise, your shots may attract enemies from other directions. 5.Bring an AWM, not another sniper rifle. The AWM can kill enemies with one shot at almost any combat distance. Any hit on the body is enough to kill. It also keeps enough damage after shooting through trees and walls. Yes, you don't need to aim for the head when an enemy is hiding behind a low wall. Just shoot the wall. This also works with most other weapons. As you can see in Image 2, there is a large grass field in front of the enemy area, with trees and large rocks blocking the view. The distance is also around 200m. If you start sniping from this position, enemies can easily sneak up on you without being noticed and attack you. When You Start Sniping 1.Make full use of your binoculars. Put the binoculars on an easy-to-reach key. They can measure distance, give you a clear view, and have a very high zoom level. 2.Adjust the scope according to the measured distance. The default keyboard shortcuts are - and =. 3.Don't set the range higher than the actual distance. For example, when shooting an enemy at 350m, use the 300m setting. This makes it less likely that you will shoot over the enemy's head. 4.Correct your aim after the first shot. If you miss, watch where the bullet lands and adjust your aim. If the bullet hits above the target, deliberately aim lower on the next shot. 5.Be patient. Once you start sniping, enemies will react in different ways and run to different positions. You may eventually spot an enemy peeking out from behind a corner. After Sniping 1.Carefully check the blind spots. Enemies may have sneaked into the area between your firing position and the enemy zone. These enemies can be extremely dangerous. As you move forward, carefully check the blind spots around your firing position, especially reverse slopes, large rocks, and the backs of walls. If you're not sure, use a drone to scout the area. 2.You can take a longer route to avoid these dangerous areas. However, watch out for enemies coming from other directions. 3.Bring a secondary weapon for close-range cleanup. You will need something besides the AWM when clearing enemies at close range. Any assault rifle or SMG will work. The P90 is highly recommended. At night, enemies have worse vision than during the day. They have a harder time spotting you and are more likely to lose track of you. Most enemies will also turn on their flashlights after being alerted, making them much easier to spot. However, it seems that some enemies in Chapter 4 can fight without using flashlights. Overall, night combat is actually more favorable for us than daytime combat, except that it affects how we use weapon scopes. Night operation is especially preferable on missions with complicated terrain or no good high ground. When combat is forced into close range, fighting at night can greatly reduce the pressure of fighting enemies head-on. Preparing for Night Combat 1.Bring a weapon without an optic as your main weapon. When night vision is active, you can still use binoculars, but you cannot use weapon optics. So it's best to bring a weapon that works well at close range. MP5SD and P90 are both good choices. 2.Bring a weapon with a PVS-4 for longer-range targets. PVS-4 is the only night vision weapon optic in Dagger Directive, with 3.6x magnification. With this optic, you can deal with enemies at a little over 300m at most. So assault rifles, DMRs, and even machine guns are all viable choices. I recommend the M249 . It has better suppression at this range than a DMR and is also better for spraying at enemies who are hard to see at long range. Night Combat Tips 1.Keep moving and change positions often. Enemies are more likely to lose track of you at night. The ideal way to fight is to move quickly between cover or through buildings and look for opportunities to attack. 2.Don't fight back when your position is exposed. Once the enemy knows where you are, don't turn around and start shooting back. Fire a burst when you are spotted, then run. 3.Aim at enemy flashlights. Enemy flashlights give away their position. With a weapon that has good full-auto performance, you can simply spray at the light. You will often kill the enemy before they can react. 4.Use the range advantage. You can also use long-range attacks to kill enemies without giving them a chance to fight back. However, this is more complicated than normal sniping. You have to repeatedly switch between: Night vision ON → use binoculars to find enemies → night vision OFF → use the PVS-4 to shoot. If you can find a good firing position, suppressing the enemy from outside the area can greatly reduce the pressure when you move in. Overall, night combat is more dangerous than the sniping method. You never know where a camper might be hiding. However, it is probably the best option for missions where sniping doesn't work well. It is also especially useful for missions where killing every enemy is not the objective. Destroying an armory, drugs, or an armored vehicle is often much easier to do at night. In the previous two chapters, we talked about “traditional” and “old-school” tactics. But this game also has a “modern” tactic for modern special forces operators. You could call it a cheese strat. With this method, you can even complete some missions without firing a single shot, with almost no risk of failure—as long as you have enough patience. We know that the biggest threat in this game is the enemies hiding everywhere. Most mission failures happen because a random burst of bullets suddenly comes from somewhere you can't see. The drone gives us a simple solution: Send a grenade back from somewhere they can't see. All three types of drones can be used for reconnaissance, but only the Carrier Drone can repeatedly attack enemies. The Kamikaze Drone is too heavy and can only be used once. The Carrier Drone, however, can repeatedly deliver grenades and send campers straight to heaven. The "Airstrike" Procedure Some players may not have used the Carrier Drone this way before, so here's a quick guide: Step 1: Take out the Carrier Drone and place it on the ground with the left mouse button. Step 2: Take out a grenade. The M68-Impact is recommended. Step 3: Aim at the Carrier Drone and hold the interact key (default F). You will see the grenade attached to the drone. Step 4: Take out the drone controller and press the left mouse butt
