Building a vertical mushroom elevator

The distance between the jump mushrooms is key here. You want them spaced apart just enough that you smoothly shoot upwards at a speed which you can see each floor and not be bounce side to side or get stuck between the shrooms. To get an infinite climb motion that is smooth and controllable, the two mushroom columns should be 6 units apart (see photo) and stacked at the height every 6 units as well. Coincidently, this is the height provided exactly by sign stands which make and ideal and cheaper option instead of beams, You can use beams if you prefer in your build if you don't mind the extra expense (I like the look of the color matched signs personally). To use the elevator, walk inside the 'chimney chute' and touch a mushroom. Holding the movement key towards the mushroom forces you vertically upwards. Let go of movement keys and you begin to fall. Holding a movement key in the direction out of the elevator causes you to leave on that floor. The spacing here is good for a quick lift vertically at a speed and smooth camera motion that is easy to exit. My personal recommendation is to walk into the elevator, turn around to face out and step to the side to move up. When you reach your floor, stop moving to the side and move forward to exit. It's a bit like having a pneumatic transport tube from Satisfactory. Now you can build the skyscraper of your dreams and not have to walk up all those awful stairs! --- Источник: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3644981543
