Either a Windows or MacOS based operating system. Linux might work but is not tested, check the FAQ down below. Have an (Old School) Runescape account that is connected with a Jagex Account. Steam and a Steam account. Have Old School Runescape installed through Steam. Runelite installed on your system. Jagex Launcher installed on your system. Open Steam, head over to your library. Find Old School Runescape and right click it to open 'properties'. After opening the Steam properties, open the general tab and check the 'launch options'. Add the following line within 'launch options': Windows "C:\Program Files (x86)\Jagex Launcher\JagexLauncher.exe" %command% Change the line between the " " to the path to the .exe file of your Jagex Launcher if you didn't chose the default installation directory or if you use different drive letters. MacOS (Apple Mac/Macbook) "/Applications/Jagex Launcher.app" %command%" Change the line between the " " to the path of the .app file from your Jagex Launcher if you didn't install the Jagex Launcher in the default directory! Keep the " " when entering the line of code on both Windows and MacOS! If you remove them it won't work! Close the window and open Old School Runescape through Steam. If the Jagex Launcher opens select "RuneLite" from the dropdown menu. How does it work? It basically checks if the Jagex Launcher is active. This means it doesn't track if either the OS Client, RuneLite or HDOS is running. It doesn't seem to work for me or it stops registering my playtime. Make sure the Jagex Launcher is running in the background and don't stop/quit said application during playtime. The Jagex Launcher icon can be found in your system tray if you didn't hide it through your system settings. If you applied this change when playing Runescape just quit everything (including everything Runescape related in the background) and start it again through Steam. If you're not sure just reboot your pc once applying everything from the guide. Will this disable achievements? Yes. Using this method will disable Steam achievements in-game. It will be registered on your Runescape account and available to be unlocked later. Just revert this change and run the original Old School Client (not RuneLite). Logging in should be enough to trigger all achievements if you've unlocked them. Does this work with any launcher? Basically yes as you don't have to launch anything other than the Jagex Launcher. So just follow these steps, start the game through Steam and then run whatever client (or even another game) to start accumulating hours. As long as the Jagex Launcher is running this method is working. I don't have a Jagex Account connected to my Old School Runescape account and just use RuneLite or another client to directly log into my account. Will this work for me? You have change the line in step 2 so it points to the executable of your client. By doing so it directly opens up the client instead of the Jagex Launcher. As I don't have a Runescape account that is not connected to a Jagex Account I am unable to verify this. But that is how it is supposed to work. You can use the following line and apply it within your Old School Runescape Steam settings. Once again: change the line below so it points to your clients executable. "C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\RuneLite\RuneLite.exe" %command% Another method used to be unpacking/installing RuneLite in the Old School Runescape Steam Client directory and renaming osclient.exe to "osclient.exe_old" and renaming "RuneLite.exe" to "osclient.exe". You may have to redo this change when Runescape updates. Both methods are not supported. I recommend migrating to a Jagex Account as this improves account security. Does this work on Linux? I guess it will but haven't verified it yet as I am not running on a Linux based OS yet. I recommend to install the Jagex Launcher Flatpack [github.com] and changing the command in step 2 so it points to the executable. You could also try and create a .sh/run file with the command to run the flatpack from terminal. --- Источник: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3144651784
