Things I'd like to have known earlier

Here are the things I would have liked to have known about the game before doing certain things in it. They're not in any particular order, but whatever I can recall. and if you have any tips you would have liked to have added feel free to put it in the comments. When you start, you have 10 slots for any characters you unlock including your starting and eventual bunny. Which means really early on you only have 8 slots. This means you should pick wisely which Descendants you really want as extra slots will cost money to unlock. I recommend using the caliber you get from the battlepass(which also needs 500 calibers) to unlock more slots. In the descendant select screen you can dismiss any descendants you don't want or need(such as the non ultimate versions of characters). You would need to get the materials for them again if you wish to use them. I was confused first time with the concept of it. Think of them as locked treasure chest you get from doing missions or outpost as a reward. You then need to find a key to unlock them which is either from a colossi boss fight or a void reactor to unlock them. You're only able to unlock them if you have any. I thought they dropped from the colossi. DO NOT SPEND ANY OF THEM on your weapons if they're less than level 100. because you are wasting those enhancement tools as the stat bonus are based on the current weapon level and by using them on lower level guns, you are limited to that weapon's level. Save them for endgame so you can get the max stats possible. When you press your TAB(or which ever button you use on console) if you're near a vault, you'll have a blip if it's in range, a ping if you're looking in the correct direction, and most of all a little radar dish pops up telling you where the vault is located. The vaults are not random and are in set places on the map. These are for opening the purple vaults you find on each map, DO NOT use them unless A) you're an enzo descendant B) you have another enzo to open with. Why? purple vaults are quite difficult to open since you'll have less time, the unlocking is faster, and at most you can make only 1 mistaken. Enzo makes it easier to unlock AND you get more rewards if you have enzo unlocking the vault. INCLUDING his exclusive and difficult to drop Red/Transcendant modules. *Update - You can now combine modules to get enzo's rare red mods. So no need to save those breakers/analyzers These descendants are the ones you want to have because they're useful for certain gameplay elements that other descendants cannot do or can't do as well: You want to unlock: Sharen and Enzo. - Sharen is mandatory for infiltrating the outpost for the infiltration bonus which some amorphous materials are locked behind. - Enzo for unlocking purple vaults easier and getting more rewards. *Edit: Enzo not as essential to unlock now that his unique red mods aren't restricted to his vaults. At first I thought this was a waste of time UNTIL I learned that there are certain modules that can only be obtained if you combine them. A lot of the time when combining you can get modules you don't own or those that cannot be obtained any other way. It's more beneficial to just use all Gold or Red modules to combine to get some good mods. Only do purple mods if you're looking for a specific mod like Shot Focus. You gain mastery exp from levelling up each unique descendants once to level 40, levelling up weapons up to 40 the first time, doing missions that give mastery exp, etc. You can look at your mastery tab to tell you how to get the exp for them They break easily, specialising in shields is generally not a worthwhile investment(Unless you're either Enzo or Kyle). Until they make shields worthwhile, the stats to invest in are HP > DEF > Shields *UPDATE - The shields have been reworked and they're better and more usable as you revive with shields. If you can get lots of shield it can replace your HP which is good for death stalker. Don't bother with the regular transmission, just keep playing till you enter hard mode where you get access to level 100 weapons. - However, "Fine Weapon transmission" is worthwhile because it for levelling up your ultimate weapons to the max since you will get them brand new at level 1. Afterwards you'd use the next level 1 to enhance the level 100 you have. If you see them, open or break them to get crafting supplies. So later you don't have to go out of your way to locate them again. Took me about 400 hours before I noticed this. In albion or teleport outpost, you can interact with a yellow mech mail box that can hold your items. I've been keeping and cleaning everything in my inventory until I realised there's a storage. Can only be used once and then you have to buy them again with real money. - You can unlock some of them by doing certain 'awards' *Edit: On friday to sunday, you can buy paints at the ETA shop. Press J(or whatever on console) to go to a tab and select 'Access Info'. here you'll find out where to locate certain materials or get info on what crafting materials you need. Don't use them YET. They are very rare to drop(unless you're doing infiltration missions). They improve the chance of getting the more difficult drops while lowering the higher chance drops. - Save at least 5 of them to use for trying to get a drop as it's very aggravating when you use your only stabilizer only to get the high drops. - If you do only have a few like one, use them as a last resort with your amorphous material instead of the first chance you get. You still get access to some battle pass content even without paying. You just won't get access to all of it. While the battle pass is limited, the Supply Coin shop is not and you have full access to the content as long as you earn the supply coins. - You can check 'challenges' under the battle pass tab, switch to seasonal challenges and see which challenges grant supply coins. - Supply Coin challenges show up every week, if you're not able to get enough coins, just wait till they release more opportunity to earn them. They want to drag it out. In hard mode, if you press G(or whichever gets you to the map) you can press F to check "difficulty level rewards". This will tell you where the reactor type you're looking for is dropping and what component materials are dropping. If you ever wondered why a certain reactor type was dropping a lot in an area that's why. Update: They made it, so it is not consumed upon collecting them and only activate when you use them. DO NOT CLICK ON THEM, as soon as you click on them they'll activate. I say this because some may think you're claiming the item to use for later. but that is not the case. Let them sit in your mailbox or battle pass until you need them or if they're expiring soon. - You got a new paint recently and have to go view it in descendant or weapon skin to get rid of the notif. You'll see an icon on certain weapons for Crush, Pierce, Burst damage type. These are ONLY for those types of weapons. - Ex. Machine guns, Snipers are always Crush type damage. Pistol, Assault rifle, Launchers are always Pierce type. - I thought I could get a different damage type with a different Machine gun, so in case you're as confused as me there's an explanation. (recommendation) Save them for descendants first before weapons. A descendant is forever and weapons you might end up not liking could be a waste. Although using an energy activator on an ultimate weapon is not as much of a waste. I suggest saving them for ultimate descendants and then your favourite not ult descendants as they are expensive and take a long time to craft. Much like the energy activators but cheaper, save them for descendants until you're satisfied with your build, then consider what weapon you'd like to use a rainbow donut on. - (Recommendation) focus on spending the rainbow donuts on 1 descendant instead of spreading it around. Edit: - There is an item that now transfers
