Welcome to the achievement guide for Rochard! The purpose of this guide is to give a clear and concise overview on what is required to earn all 18 achievements in the game and attain that perfect 100% completion. As far as physics-based puzzle platformers go, Rochard is nowhere near a difficult game. All enemies die in a few hits, you have infinite ammo, regenerating health, and a Half-Life style grav-gun. The combat, platforming and puzzles are all easily manageable and the final boss takes about 60 seconds to beat. All in all, the game is only a few hours long. There are no missable achievements in the game, as all levels can be replayed from the chapter select. For 100% completion, you need to play through the game twice (for the Speed Run achievement) and buy the Hard Times DLC for the four challenge achievements. With all that out of the way, let's begin! 25% Gold Collectibles Found Collect 25% of all Gold Collectibles 50% Gold Collectibles Found Collect 50% of all Gold Collectibles 100% Gold Collectibles Found Collect 100% of all Gold Collectibles There are a total of 70 gold collectibles in the game. Many of these are easy to find, but others aren’t. There’s a handy Steam video guide HERE that shows the location of all collectibles (as well as all upgrades). All collectibles are automatically saved, meaning that you don’t have to get them again if you die. Plus, you can always use chapter select to go back and find any collectibles you may have missed. Pack Rat Collect all upgrades There are 22 collectable upgrades in the game. These don’t refer to the mandatory story-related upgrades to your G-Lifter (like upgrading your G-Lifter to be able to grab droids, etc.), but rather to health upgrades, Explosium capacity upgrades, Rock Blaster upgrades, etc. Most of these are found in plain sight, but a few are somewhat hidden. Like the collectibles, all upgrades are automatically saved, meaning that you don’t have to get them again if you die. You can use chapter select to go back and find any upgrades you may have missed. Bowling Kill an enemy with an object shot with G-Lifter Earned after you encounter the first two enemies in the game. Since the G-Lifter is your only weapon at that point, this achievement should be easy. Most enemies in the game can be one-shot by shooting a crate (or any other object) directly into them with the G-Lifter. Death from Above Kill an enemy by falling on him Earned by falling on top of any enemy. There’s no need to jump from any great height, as most enemies die fairly easily. Falling only half a screen will do fine. You will most likely earn this achievement even without trying at some point during the game. Unfriendly Fire Kill a human enemy with deflected bullets Earned by holding a crate in front of you with the G-Lifter and having enemy bullets bounce off it. Most enemies die after only a couple of deflected shots. This achievement can be earned by killing any enemy, not necessarily a human as the description states. Electrifried Electrocute a human enemy There are multiple electrified floors in game that will instantly kill anyone on contact. In several places, you can cause enemies to fall onto those floors by removing a power fuse with your G-Lifter to disable the forcefield beneath their feet. Say Hello to My Little Friend Kill 2 or more enemies with a single exploding mechanical enemy Earned by throwing a disabled turret or droid into two or more enemies with your G-Lifter. There’s a perfect spot for attempting this achievement in chapter two (Zeronimo – Two Brothers) after you’ve upgraded your G-Lifter to be able to grab turrets. Use chapter select if needed. Grab one of the three turrets behind the nearby forcefield, activate low-gravity and shoot the turret between the remaining two. The turret will explode and take out the others. If you mess up, the checkpoint is just a short distance back. Death on Delivery Kill 100 enemies using objects shot or dropped with G-Lifter Earned after getting 100 kills with the G-Lifter. The achievement is cumulative and counts all kills even if you die and resume from checkpoint. You’ll likely earn this during the course of a single playthrough, as long as you don’t completely forget about using the G-Lifter once you unlock the Rock Blaster. Second Amendment Kill 100 enemies using the Rock Blaster Earned after getting 100 kills with the Rock Blaster, which you find halfway through the first chapter. The achievement is cumulative and counts all kills even if you die and resume from checkpoint. You’ll likely earn this during the course of a single playthrough. Kiss Me Deadly Kill a human enemy with another enemy's body In the final part of the game, you will upgrade your G-Lifter to be able to grab human enemies. Any grabbed humans are instantly killed. Then just toss the body at another human enemy to earn the achievement. You’re Fired! Defeat Maximillian Earned for completing the game and defeating the final boss. The fight itself is quite simple. Just use the G-Lifter to swing up and destroy the four floating figures, then grab the disc from the middle and shoot the boss until he dies. The end. Speed Run Complete the game in 3 hours or less Rochard is not a particularly lengthy game. Even if you spend time finding every single collectible and figuring out the puzzles for the first time, the game is still at most only about 5 hours long. You also don’t need to complete the speed run in one sitting, as you can always continue from the latest checkpoint. Note that dying and resuming from checkpoint still counts the extra time against you. Fortunately, the game is very generous with its checkpoints and you likely won’t waste too much time by repeatedly attempting some of the more difficult parts. Pausing the game displays the time elapsed in the current playthrough. It also temporarily stops the timer, giving you a chance to figure out or remember the solution to a puzzle in the room if need be. When attempting the speed run, don’t worry about the gold collectibles at all, because they provide no benefit. Most health and weapon upgrades can be found directly on your path. However, starting a new game for the speed run wipes all previous progress, so I suggest first hunting down all the collectibles via chapter select for the related achievements. Estimated par times: Chapter 1 (Astrominer): 40-60 minutes Chapter 2 (Zeronimo): 20-30 minutes Chapter 3 (Skyrig): 40-60 minutes Chapter 4 (Back to the Temple): 10-15 minutes Chapter 5 (Old Mines): 5-10 minutes My personal time was 2 hours 13 minutes, and I’m nowhere near a good speedrunner, so take that for what you will. Crate Master Get through the challenge level 'Container Chaos' Swing King Get through the challenge level 'Shaft Shuffle' Brainiac Get through the challenge level 'Brainyard' Rivethead Get through the challenge level 'Assembly Line' These achievements can only be earned by purchasing the Hard Times DLC, which includes four challenge levels that can be accessed from the main menu at any time. The levels are very short (about 3-5 minutes each), have very generous checkpoints, no time limit, and they’re not even that much harder than the puzzles in the main game. For a useful video guide, see the Steam guide HERE That's it. I hope this guide has been useful Thanks for reading. Good luck and have fun playing! --- Источник: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=506611106
