The Boo-mb https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1547507326350912208/14B116579050639BAC199281708960583A8278F0/?imw=256&&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false With a name derived from "Boo" and "Bomb" (and a possible play on the Super Mario series's Bob-Omb), the Boo-mb is a self-explanatory enemy. They self-destructs after they take 3 turn. Boo-mb will not attack you before that time, but once it self-destructs, you can kiss your butt goodbye. This essentially means that this battle is under a strict time limit. To reap the Boo-mb, you'll have to hit them fast and hard. This Boo-mb isn't going to kill itself! (Well, actually it is, which is why YOU need to kill it first!) Step 1: Roasting the Purple Marshmallow Boo-mbs are purple. In any other game, this observation would be both obvious and pointless, but in Grimm's Hollow, reapers have access to a potent magical fire attack designed for the express purpose of eradicating these purple nuisances. You'll want to fully upgrade your Violet Flame Special. Step 2: A "Special" Surprise Now Violet Flame is a great Special Move, able to deal a whopping 5 times your Special Stat (when fully upgraded) to any Purple entity that may oppose you. To get the most out of this technique however, you should put some points into your Special Stat. Step 3: Become Lightning McQueen Boo-mbs are fast. If you want to take one down, you need to be faster. Upgrading your Speed as much as possible is highly recommended. This way, you'll get more chances to move and hit them before they explode. Step 4 (Optional): Got Mork? While not a requirement to defeat the dreaded Boo-mb, bringing a carton of Mork and drinking it before the fight will make your afterlife much easier. In a word... grinding. First things first, wipe out any enemies inside the cave that you're in right now (besides the Boo-mb of course). Use those points according to the specifications earlier in this guide. Likely, you'll slash your way through all the ghosts and still come short of killing the infamous Boo-mb. When this happens, you'll want to backtrack to the previous cave (the one with all the waterfalls). The ghosts on the upper floors should have respawned, and while they don't drop as much SP as the later enemies, they still provide plenty to get the upgrades you need. (Plus, they don't hit as hard) If you've wiped out all the ghosts in the Waterfall Cave, but you still need more SP, try leaving the cave and going back in. This should respawn most of the ghosts, and you can continue reaping to your heart's content. If you think you've gotten enough SP to give it a shot (or you're just sick of grinding), then it might be time to try your hand at reaping the exploding pest once and for all. Make sure to save before you attempt the fight , as you won't get another chance if you fail. Also, if you brought it with you, drink your Mork now . If didn't bring one, or just don't feel like using Mork, don't worry; you can still defeat the Boo-mb without it, though you'll have to time your scythe swing well. If you forgot to drink your mork (like I did on my first attempt) you should still have time to drink it during the fight, provided your Speed stat is high enough. When the fight begins, use Violet Flame (or drink Mork , then use Violet Flame ). It should do loads of damage to Boo-mb and, depending on how high your stats are, may even one-shot them. If they somehow survived, just use it again. (No problem for pre-fight Mork-Drinkers, but you mid-battle drinkers may run out of time if you don't act fast.) For the lactose-intolerant who won't be using Mork, you'll need to be precise. On the first turn of the fight, you'll need to land a perfect scythe swing . You'll know you did this if you gain 15 Special Points from it. With that swing, you'll have just enough points to use Violet Flame which, if fully upgraded, will hopefully be enough to end the Boo-mb once and for all. Sidenote: Boo-mbs are also quite vulnerable to Sleep. Putting them to sleep isn't a requirement for winning, but it can be good if you want to set up an attack buff or drink your Mork in the middle of the fight. Just don't wait too long, because they won't stay asleep forever. You might be wondering what you get out of ending the Boo-mb's reign of terror. Well, I'm here to tell you that you gain... Absolutely nothing! You heard me right, folks. As it turns out, reaping the Boo-mb doesn't actually change the scene that follows, nor does it allow you to cross the bridge. You don't take any damage from the explosion though, since it never happened, which is nice I guess. When I first attempted this, I had hoped that a different scene would play out, or that I'd be able to cross the bridge and get to the end of the game faster or that there would be a secret collectible or something. But no. It seems that ghosterhunter didn't think to make an alternate scene. They should really get on that, because it makes the whole game unplayable and I'll be forced to give it a bad review. (This is a joke, of course. I absolutely love this game, from the soundtrack to the story to the Tim Burton-like aesthetic. Ghosthunter, if you're reading this, then I want you to know just how awesome this game you made truly is! I hope to see more projects from you in the future, whether it's a sequel or an entirely different game. Heck, I'd even be down for an online comic series; just keep making stuff! I'm looking forward to whatever you decide to do next.) So in a nutshell, fighting the Boo-mb is more trouble than it's worth. There is no reason to try and reap it at this point in the game, other than to gain bragging rights and prove it can be done. If anyone finds a different method to defeat the Boo-mb, feel free to let me know in the comments. --- Источник: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2242307492
