Devs finished the game but decided to give a big free content patch that nearly doubles the game size. And the release is only 2 days ago, during that time devs uploaded more then 12 Hotfixes to adress new issues. And people here don't have better to do then being impatient, blame and give bad reviews. What the heck is wrong with you guys? It's really not fair what is happening here. Game is cozy and fun. Devs reacted to feedback for more challenge. They added it, now players blame them for adding a challenge. What?? Ya all, calm down man. Devs working super hard in fixing stuff and make the game nice and great. But they are humans, not some magical beings, fixing YOUR Issues in an blink of an eye. I guess social media and doomscrolling made ya all way to disrespectful and unpatient. Don't play Early Access Games an/or Beta Content in finished games, if you feel the urge to instant blame devs if you face some bugs. So for all left, with some mind in their heads: I can recommend the game 100%. It has beautiful graphics and a nice cozy soundtrack. Yes, there is some "grind" but it's only unbalanced for those who expect to finish the game in less then 2 hours, so they can refund it. Like said, devs added super huge content patch. Yes there are bugs, but they're super busy adressing them. No need to blame anyone here. For the money you pay, you get a really nice game!

Из ПЛЮСОВ: рисовка неплохая, но местами проседает ФПС, расслабляющая музыка, есть фотоаппарат, и это прикольно, пейзажи там действительно красивые, и можно понаделать скриншотов (было бы круто, если бы еще была смена дня/ночи) — для меня плюсы закончились. Ну, а из МИНУСОВ: очень много фармить, прям очень много, баг с новым боссом энтом, а точнее: если вы зашли на босса и нажали на «я застрял», к боссу вы больше не попадете, имейте это в виду. Это была моя глобальная ошибка, ибо пришлось перепроходить заново, а это снова фарм-фарм. Я играла сразу на хардкоре (хоть и в бете, но уже есть ачивка) и советую сразу начинать с хардкора, ибо если начать с казуального, то игру придется перепроходить аж целых 3 раза. Не знаю, это дичь полная. На одно прохождение потрачено около 10 ч. Нет, не спорю, может, можно и быстрее пройти, но цель была не заспидранить игру, и желания даже проходить второй раз у меня не было, поэтому я просто перед финалом скопировала сейвы, ибо в финале у вас есть выбор концовки. По итогу я прошла игру 1 раз на хардкоре и потом закинула сейвы. На хардкоре деревья приходится распиливать на все части самой, получаешь урон рандомно, деревья падают в воду, и их никак не достать. Фармила деньги на больших дубах, но когда распиливаешь их на части, лаги безумные, не знаю, с чем связано. Однообразный геймплей: да, ты качаешь улучшения за деньги, но это так ДОЛГО. По сути, кроме как смены локации, в которой ты будешь рубить, ничего не меняется — никакой сюжетки, ничего. (тупо закинь дофига бревен в печь, получи кристалл и иди дальше в новую локацию, чтобы сделать ключ для концовки ). Нет я понимаю, что игра про рубку деревьев, но можно было бы сделать еще каких-нибудь активностей. Игра по часам большая, а опций в ней мало: даже починка пасеки или будки и пр. ничего тебе не дает, собака может бегать за тобой (но и тут с багами). Вагентка на первой локации не особо имеет смысла, ибо стоит она очень дорого, + открывать доп. дороги тоже дорого, аж по 500 монет. Стамина восстанавливается путем покупки в магазине либо когда прокачается на последнем уровне, а это тоже дорого. Можно пить кофе, но за него также надо платить, а когда ты только в начале пути и каждая монетка на вес золота, аж раздражало. Есть бамбуковая локация — это ад для глаз, все сливалось, распиливать сложно. Есть игра+, для чего? зачем? не ясно, ибо она даже не запустилась. В целом затянутый геймплей, давно таких нудных игр не встречала, хотя я люблю подобные игры. Взяла игру по скидке за 308 р., даже по скидке игра не стоит своих денег.

Quite an amusing game. The soundtrack is simple, yet relaxing to listen to. Gameplay with 2 players lasts around 3 hours (not taking into account getting the upgrades for both players maxed out or 100%-ing the entire game). Of course, it can get a bit repetitive cutting down trees, so you have to enjoy the grinding aspect of the game. Below is a more in-depth explanation of my experience, with spoilers for pretty much all gameplay aspects. Let's get to the biggest issue first: The game can run into a possible "Fatal Error" issue, which can make you unable to start the game. I had to research how to get it running before I was even able to play. Some people have mentioned this as a possible fix: "How to Fix the Crash Press the Windows Key + X and select Device Manager from the menu. Scroll down and expand the Neural processors category. Right-click on Intel(R) AI Boost (or your specific NPU) and select Disable device." This didn't work for me, and I didn't even have the option/device mentioned above. However, I had an issue with DirectX being the cause. As for why? I have no idea. To fix it, I had to change the game's launch options to "-dx11". (Right-click the game in your Library → Properties → General → Launch Options → -dx11) After that, it booted normally and I didn't experience any further issues. Still, it was quite frustrating to deal with before I could even play the game for the first time. Pros: Upgrades in general give you a nice sense of progression and satisfaction. Seeing how high you can stack the logs at the Sawmill genuinely made me laugh. The Handcar you can unlock for transportation helps a lot in the 3rd Forest. Before unlocking it, however, it's actually faster to just run back and forth once you've unlocked Sprinting. Overall, I like the simplicity of the game and the small cutscenes you get when finishing a section. Being able to attack your friends in Multiplayer is fun for messing around with each other. However, this would be much better if there were a Revive option instead of being forced to reload a save and potentially lose progression if you haven't saved recently. Cons: If you haven't saved at all before attacking/killing one another, you can essentially softlock yourselves unless the Host restarts the session or starts a new world. Even when saving and dying directly afterwards, the game can still set you back a good 5–10 minutes. This makes dying rather frustrating, especially when you're simply trying to troll your friend or getting trolled yourself. Since there aren't many ways to take damage in the game, there should really be a way to Revive another player instead of automatically returning to the last save point. If you're not currently in combat, the player could simply be revived instantly. Money isn't shared between players, so you need to play fairly when deciding who gets how much. You also need to replant trees to be able to afford all the upgrades. Once you've unlocked the Chainsaw, the Axe becomes completely useless. The Chainsaw is simply better in every possible way. Tree Stumps don't drop anything when broken. Bugs: While playing, the game randomly gave us the achievement "Stump Killer - Destroy all the stumps on the map." Why or how this happened is unknown to us. My best guess is that there is a set amount of stumps you have to destroy, which, combined with replanting trees, makes this achievement incredibly easy to get. There's also a small graphical glitch in the Dark Forest. If you hug the right wall and end up to the right of where the Handcar track ends, there's a small mountain section you can jump onto where part of the icy rock isn't fully rendered. It's nothing major, but it looks kind of funny with the lower part of the rock missing. For the Achievement "Coffee Lover" (Spend 300 bucks on a coffee), you simply have to Fill up the Can fully once for 20$, only take a sip out of it and Refill it at a Cost of 4$, while gaining a +20$ for the Achievement Progress. Makes this one a bit faster to grind, although throughout the Game you'll get this easily either way. Suggestions: After fully upgrading the Woodgrip upgrade, there should be some sort of multiple-pickup feature that allows you to grab several logs at the same time. When drinking coffee, it could potentially give you a temporary boost to Stamina or Speed for 15–30 seconds if you drink the entire thermos in one go. Add a way to zoom out the minimap, or perhaps add a larger map that allows you to see where the other player is. Alternatively, a ping system or an arrow on the minimap pointing toward the other player(s) would be helpful. After finishing the game (reaching the Lighthouse), there's a small cutscene and you're teleported back to the first house to start a "New Game+". The idea itself isn't bad, but when playing Multiplayer, being teleported several minutes' walking distance away from your farm is mildly annoying, especially when the Handcar is still on the other side of the map. On the first island, there's a "respawning" permanent log. There could possibly be some sort of notification explaining that it can be picked up multiple times, perhaps with a cooldown or upgrade system per player. The Secret Boss having multiple phases confused me a bit at first. I thought it was bugged because it seemed to repeat almost the exact same attacks. Perhaps changing its appearance or effects between phases would make it more obvious that you're not simply fighting the first phase again. The Boss in itself is advisable to attack only after you've unlocked the highest Damage Upgrade. Also to Note, whenever you get the Boss knocked down inbetween Phases is when you can directly Damage it's Health. Took me a few Attempts to learn about it. lol Some type of indicator after finishing the game that shows which areas still have Raccoons left to find would be helpful. Perhaps the Dog could accompany you while searching and bark when you're getting close to a Raccoon or collectible? Adding an Auto-Save in Multiplayer every so often would help prevent unnecessary progression loss. Tree Stumps should probably drop 1 Log when broken and take a tiny amount of Stamina to destroy. Although I kind of like not having to spend Stamina on them, it seems more like a bug than an intentional feature. Possibly allow players to obtain multiple Thermos Cans for Coffee. I haven't 100%-ed the game after the newest Update yet, so I may rephrase or edit this review a bit once I have. But even without doing that, I had a really fun time playing this, so it's a positive review from me :)

This game is a lot fun, especially when playing with friends. There's just something satisfying about chain sawing a tree and 5 others behind it fall down as well. I've read a few negative reviews about the "Secret Boss" update and personally I thought it was a nice change and distraction from the norm of just chopping trees.

Highly recommend other people to get this game, I got it gifted to me and even then it is absolutely worth the original price tag. Calming, nothing but an amazing experience. This game runs extremely well on a budget PC like mine, and I just could not recommend this game more than I can now. it's perfect.

For a $8 price tag, or $6.39 on its current sale its absolutely fun. Its calm and relaxing and visuals match it great. Yea its grindy, but guess what, based on the title and description of the game that's what you are signing up for.

Pretty chill game to play with your friends. Boss fight is easy as long as you have your chainsaw maxed out, took me and my friend a minute to kill him. The main 2 issues we had was the amount of running around you do in the second area. Would be nice to have speed upgrades or more modes of transportation. And the second issue was how laggy the new update made the game. Every big tree we chop down makes the game lag. But other than that it was a fun game :)

Fun for just over 2 hours, seems to be abusing the 2h no refund. Game is meh. New Game + is bs.
