Adventure Capitalist was probably the first incremental game I ever heard about and it was a fun one. It's hard to really pinpoint what makes an incremental game enjoyable but I think the combo of music, simple yet fun design and absurdism of the numbers and things you could blow out of proportion in this game made it way more enjoyable than it had any right to be. There are also these timed events that let you multiply your profits by clicking as long as you can and I vividly remember maintaining a 14 second timer active over an hour just by clicking which dramatically reduced the time I took to 100%. I wouldn't advise anyone to do the same, your wrist will hate you.

I genuinely enjoy this game. i don't know why. there is barely anything to do, and yet somehow i can sit here for hours watching numbers get bigger while my brain slowly shuts down. the gameplay loop is basically: Make money, spend money, buy upgrades, make more money, Spend all that money on upgrades. Eventually, you reach the point where you've purchased basically everything you can afford, all your businesses are running, and there is absolutely nothing left for you to do.. so naturally, you close the game right? Wrong. YOU sit there. you stare at the screen you watch the money go up you watch it go up some more you blink another 30 minutes have passed. youre basically drooling on yourself at this point staring at a cartoon businessman while waiting for enough money to buy the next upgrade and then you finally get it you finally reach the next milestone.. You finally get the reward you've been waiting for. One. Angel. One. Single. Angel. And what do you do? You RESET YOUR ENTIRE GAME. All those businesses you've spent hours building? Gone. All that money? Gone.

Started with Earth, then somehow ended up completing Earth, Moon and Mars. A surprisingly addictive game. Simple, satisfying, and just the right amount of pointless. 10/10 would make sexquinquagintillions again.
