A DLC for Survivor Mode that offers three short maps connected to Dr. Lingard - Sevastopol's chief medical officer and one of the important supporting characters in the main game. "Trauma" is not a full story chapter, but its premise is fairly interesting: Lingard feels responsible for what happened on the station and tries to destroy the data from her research on the Alien before it falls into the wrong hands. At the same time, she needs to help survivors who require medical supplies. This fits well into one of Alien: Isolation's central themes, where human decisions and corporate interests are often almost as dangerous as the monster itself. In terms of gameplay, the DLC remains a set of challenges across the Reoperation, Crawl Space, and Overrun maps. You need to complete objectives quickly, navigate the station's medical and technical areas, conserve resources, and avoid drawing unnecessary attention. As with other Survivor Mode DLCs, route knowledge, caution, and the ability to quickly change your plan are important when the Alien, Working Joes, or other threats appear at the wrong moment. "Trauma" makes especially good use of Sevastopol's medical theme. Hospital corridors, technical passages, ventilation shafts, and the feeling of an infected, ruined station all fit short, tense scenarios very well. The DLC does not provide much new story, but it helps you better feel the scale of the disaster: beyond Amanda's path, other people also had their own attempts to survive, fix their mistakes, or at least prevent the situation from getting even worse. It is also worth noting that Lingard's story makes this DLC feel a little more personal than some of the other challenge packs. The character's motivation feels less like a simple escape or a chase for points, and more like an attempt to deal with the consequences of her own decisions. For Survivor Mode, this is a small but welcome detail.
