very friendly community I unexpected to see in this game. if you are a new player everyone will guide you how to play correctly thanks to the proximity chat like in good old days in COD. very balanced birds so every one of them is strong somehow idk.

RECOMMENDED Don't let the early skill ceiling fool you, it gets incredible once it clicks. I’ve had a great time with Birds of War, but I completely understand why new players bounce off it early on. The learning curve can feel brutal at first, but if you stick it out, the payoff is well worth the effort. Most of the common complaints people have about higher-tier birds come down to mechanics that the game forces you to master: Flight Momentum: Learning how to maneuver and turn without constantly losing your speed is half the battle. Defense & Timing: Proper blocking and precise dodge timing are non-negotiable. Once you actually start using block and dodge timing correctly, those higher-level birds aren't a brick wall anymore, they become fun, competitive matchups. All the balance issues people complain about early on pretty much solve themselves once you learn the counterplay. On top of solid mechanics, the community is small, welcoming, and refreshingly non-toxic compared to most PvP games. If you're willing to put in a little time to actually learn how to fly and fight, you'll have a blast. Highly recommended.

This game has so much potential. Unfortunately, I missed my window to refund it since it took 30-40 minutes to actually join a game and when you finally get in, you are faced with maxed out birds that ♥♥♥♥ all over you. SteamDB says that less than 150 are on at peak and my experience reflects that. The combat was really fun and I think if you had a bunch of friends to play private matches with, you could have a good time. I cannot recommend this game though, even at it's low price. The only saving grace from missing the refund is that it was a really cheap game. I guess it will just sit in my library in hopes that one day it will be a great game.

I think the creators of this game should get with the creators of Crab Champions and create a super developed competitive animalistic game. Please link up like Spyro and Crash Bandicoot. I think Crab Champions can help update the graphics of BOW and potentially the smoothness. BOW is a fantastic title and great game concept. Run all the way with it!

Good game, but just like every game, the sweaty, jobless 35 year old fat dudes will grind the game 40 hours a week memorizing every little thing about this game, and it ruins it. Its a game about birds fighting and grown men treat it like their mortgages are getting paid from this game. Played 2 games, had 9 of the sweatiest creatures in both lobbies. Devs did great, community is trash.

I am only a few hours in, but this is very enjoyable. UPDATE: The more I play the more I enjoy it. The flight is great, and good variety of play styles. Yes, like any PVP online game, there are some people who are very good. But once you find a bird that you mesh with, you too can be GOD-LIKE. Great concept, not many major bugs. A few little ones here and there, but nothing game breaking. I really hope more people find this Gem!

Bought on a lark for $5. I've only played for 20 minutes and already feel like I got my money's worth. More fun in that than in the preceding 50 minutes I spent in the Wardogs playtest just before. Avian warfare! What a hoot of an idea. It actually ends up being a pretty fun game! If I were to leave one piece of feedback, the bird "loadout" from the main menu is way more informative than the bird-selection screen in-match. Switching blindly without seeing their playstyle/loadout is not very newbie friendly!
