In February 2025, this game ran flawlessly on the Steam Deck, I even earned my final achievement on that hardware. That experience was proof of its capability. Now, in September 2026, that capability is a cruel, broken illusion. EA (following its recent acquisition by the Saudi investment fund) has effectively locked me out. The issue isn't the game itself; it’s their pathetic EA app launcher, which is universally catastrophic. It crashes the entire application instantly, rendering every Proton version choice irrelevant. The irony is staggering: I cannot even secure a refund. This isn't just poor customer service; it's a deliberate, hidden expiration date woven into their entire pricing structure. What remains is nothing more than a temporary rental agreement with EA, a predatory scheme disguised as a purchase. Avoid this title unless you are willing to accept being excluded by corporate gatekeepers.

This was one of my favorite games every when I was a kid playing after school on my Xbox 360. The driving, smashing, and crashing was unlike any other game at the time. Now almost 20 years later I now have it on my PC. This game is still the ♥♥♥♥ and I hope anyone who likes racing games will give this 2008 classic a chance! Its definitely dated, but man is it so much fun!

Best brain-off game I keep going back to. Overlay crashes are an issue with the EA app, but no problems after disabling the apps causing the overlay issues.

Yarış oyunu olarak epey zayıf bir oyun ama eğlence olarak az da olsa bir gideri var. Oyunu tek başına oynayınca 2-3 saatte bütün oyunu oynamış oluyorsun. Genel olarak başarılı bir oyun olmasa da bu oyunun benim için bir anlamı var. Sene 2011'de 40 TL'ye D&R'dan rahmetli annem bana almıştı. O zamanlar Playstation 3'de oynayacak bir oyunum yoktu ve bu oyunu o dönem epey oynamıştım. Şimdi yeniden oynayınca aklıma o günler geldi. O yüzden bu oyun hayatımın hep bir köşesinde bulunacak.

Unplayable. Game keeps crashing before ever starting. I loved this game for the 360, but I guess I'll have to replace the 360 version instead of playing this one.

Mucha gente se queja por el bug de la webcam, yo por suerte no tengo ninguna camara conectada. lo pude jugar un rato y esta buenísimo.

Doesn't work and would kick you out before the game launches on my Windows. I hate EA and their app (probably the main reason why it doesn't work).

For people on that only have a intel like me, you need a config tool to play on a low end. For some reason the games sets the highest settings as default so you need to use the tool and try the lowest settings and then adjust when you're in game. This took me a while to findout because a lot of this modding and tools is so confusing but aside from the huge disaster, the game works well and is fun
