This game isn't *bad*, but... I was sold on the multiplayer aspect. The multiplayer feels extremely half-baked, like an afterthought. Playing as Crovi means following player one and *occasionally* doing anything. It is also couch co-op with no online capabilities (other than Steam Remote play.) The gameplay is very laid-back (I personally found it a bit boring, but it isn't entirely unlikable.) The graphics and art style are very cute. Overall, it is cute and charming but not that exciting as a *game* that you *play*, especially if you want to play with a friend.

I can't recommend this game, unfortunately. It has a cute art style and vision, but it just isn't a two-player game. While the option is there, it leads to minimal interaction with your player two due to all the godamn reading. The dialogue and chatter is funny and cute but it gets really old really fast. Feels like 3/4 of the game is tapping through dialogue. It feels similar to Little Kitty Big City, but that game was really enjoyable for me.

Such a whimsical little game that approaches LGBTQ+ topics very casually. There are lots of choices to be made and some cute character interactions. I had a good time playing through it and I'll return to it later to make different choices

I loved playing Capy Castaway. Capy is a lot of fun to control and the world is full of so many things to discover. The art style is awesome and the atmosphere is fun. You can explore at your own pace and stack so many things on your head. I had a lot of fun getting to know all the characters and help them out. I loved seeing all the references to Toronto too! WOOT!

Sweet and cozy game. I love it! Please, add ending where animals who want to leave to zoo use a train. Also I'd like to see a farewell party before leaving the island.

Capy Castaway is a short but nice little adventure you can experience leisurely by yourself or with someone close to you. As adults, my girlfriend and I enjoyed exploring and doing quests on this castaway island! The game was not very difficult (a kid can find their way through the game very easily) and I do wish there were more puzzling aspects, (more things like the goose soup, or more opportunities to use the sniff and flight mechanic), but we found a lot of enjoyment in the very cute and stylized art style, and the dialogue and characters.(Even though it was a little dialogue heavy and slow to start- it got better as the game went along!) Speaking of characters, most of them were pretty delightful. I enjoyed Onyx and Benny particularly, they were very cute. Corvi however, was just kind of evil? In the grand scheme of the story, it makes sense that he acts the way he does, but he is a pretty drastic blemish on the cast of colorful and mostly reasonable fun little guys. There were a few bugs along the way,(some of which couldn't be fixed unless you closed and reopened the game) but I can't fault a honest indie team who has been putting in the work with patches to fix anything game breaking. This was just a fun charming little game to play, and I would recommend everyone at least give it a try :)

This game is perfect in it's little imperfections. There is a hand crafted charm to the story of a plucky little Capybara and his unusual corvid friend who join forces after an apocalyptic storm washes them up on a mysterious group of islands inhabited by other survivors of the flood. Rather than communicating in a straightforward fashion, their differences are emphasized by the charming way each manages to convey their personality. The game celebrates the individuality of the characters and how obstacles can be overcome when working together. Here you learn the value of friendship, while guiding both an adorable capybara and his purple corvid friend thru an Alice in Wonderlandesque world, solving puzzles and learning life lessons along the way. In this game, Capy and Corvi can just sit together on one of the park benches that are found throughout the game and do nothing more than enjoy each others company, because they want to, and that's okay. There is no urgency to hurry thru this game, just relish the quirky flow and see where it goes, and you'll find that you're better for it.

For starters, Capy Castaway's art style is charming and beautiful, has some of the best examples of dialogue implementations that Ive seen in some time, each text bubble actually has a personality based on what character is speaking. I didnt notice it at first, but as you meet more characters, it really helps re-enfirce the personailty of each character. The core controls are really intuative, you control capy (of course) but then you can control Corvi simoultaniously with the right analog stick and use him to collect other items and interact with stuff. Its honestly brilliant. The writing is fun and Ive caught myself chuckling a few times actually, to my surprise - and not just becasue Ive lived in Toronto and understand most of those references and easter eggs. Also, there's nothing in therms of writing that I would deem inappropriate for younger players. The setting is really charming and fresh, and if you ever played untitled goose game, youll probably enjoy what this game has to offer. This game is relaxing and obviously designed for couch co-op as well, which is a welcome sight. The game runs great, no issues, I'm on an AMD system ( Windows 11, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and AMD Radeon 6800XT), if that helps anyone.
