+ nice length story, alot of characters and stories to explore in one + maintains a nice difficulty which is rare for retro rpg's of the time + story is sporadic but is deep if you give it the time + unique gameplay and battle that avoids feeling too predictable just in time + little to no hand holding + overal great sequel to chrono trigger but they had to work to get it all to make sense + unique battle with alot of magic techs to unlock and explore + tons of side quests + boss fights are fun - Fast forward is very handy because battle animations drag - story struggles at times but has a very high peak - alot of characters but only certain ones have a sort of important destiny, quests or dialogue - the world can feel small at times and utilizes alot of back and forth - small hallways annoying enemies overall great retro game that holds up. I paused my first rebirth playthrough and didnt stop this game until i beat it. fun bosses, and at some point it felt like like a parody the amount of boss battles in a row. enemy encounters are slow and annoying but the battle system is unique enough to hold up, very playable and did not have all of the crash issues ive seen others post

Port is working now. Only had it crash like once or twice throughout all my playthroughs. Didn't need any modifications either.

This is a low effort remake made based on an emulator playing the game, Square-Enix didn't even try. But I do love Chrono Cross as much as I love Chrono Trigger. It's worth 8 dollars and I will beat it again to celebrate the golden era of SQUARESOFT.

it ok. i never had any issues with this version, i guess the devs finally delivered. I finally played this game and the story is interesting but the game just sucks. i thought it was funny how one of or the hardest boss in the game was just a generic "Miguel" the cgi looks like vomit and having like 100 characters for an rpg didnt impress me. the game is a complete mess and it could have been better if it was made in this decade. i enjoyed a little bit more radical dreamers. -port is 9/10 -game is 6/10

Eu joguei muito Chrono Cross na época do PlayStation 1 quando era pequeno. É um RPGs muito marcante pra mim, com trilha sonora incrível, e história envolvente. Estava com muita vontade e expectativa de jogar novamente. Infelizmente, esta versão (The Radical Dreamers Edition) é horrível. O jogo sofre com travamentos constantes e simplesmente congela/crash toda hora, tornando a experiência frustrante. Não dá para jogar sem ter medo de perder progresso a qualquer minuto.

I have tried to run this game on three PC's (two Windows machines and a Linux computer), and it will not run. It's a shame because I love Chrono Cross. It was a lazy effort on the developers' part to emulate the game (badly) instead of creating a proper port.

El registro dice 10hs jugadas, llevo el triple porque lo juego offline en la Steam Deck cuando viajo por trabajo. Crasheos aparte (se solucionan con un parche que permite que el juego use más de 4gb de RAM), va de lujo en una Steam Deck. ¿El problema? El combate plantea un sistema interesante, pero el juego es muy facil y no representa ningun desafío, ningun jefe te obliga a sacarle jugo al sistema de elementos. ¿La trama? Bastante meh, como los personajes, los que son irrelevantes para el juego, tienen 3 lineas de dialogos cuando los reclutas y no vuelven a ser relevantes (excepto Kid, que recomiendo lleves siempre en el equipo porque al menos aporta algo a la trama, ya de por sí floja). Tuve este juego pendiente desde que mi hermano tenia la PSX en los 90, nunca pude jugarlo porque no entendía ingles y cuando lo tradujeron los fans, siempre lo fui retrasando. Sale el remaster, lo compro emocionado y con todo el amor del mundo soporté solo 20hs, no le voy a dar ni un segundo más. Chronno Trigger le pega 70 vueltas.
