Somehow with all of the games coming out, the ones that stick with me the most are never the ones with big announcements at showcases that I've been waiting on for months to years, but the ones that I learned about 72 hours before release. This game is unironically a masterclass in game design. Goomba stomp flying birds, punch holes through crabs, hit the cleanest quickscope on an enemy that teleports you to the place it died. Keep the momentum flowing. CSGO surf around slopes and find new route after new route as you play as a heavy, robotic bunny girl while breakcore blasts in your ears (at a remarkably well-balanced level, I didn't have to tweak any volume or settings at all for that matter). Games like this are the ones that matter. The ones that provide an atmospheric and thoroughly enjoyable experience that even serves to BETTER you, at a price point of $10.

I played the demo during nextfest and this instantly became my most anticipated game of the year. It's got everything I like. Slick movement. Tangible sense of momentum. A satisfying shotgun. An inscrutable and scary woman as an authority figure telling me to kill things. An inescapable sense that what you're doing is Wrong somehow. AND you get to play a robo bunnygirl with a tattoo on her butt. Total slam dunk for me this game rules

not really all that Neon White: despite what others say this isn't a game about speed at all, instead focusing on points and zone time upkeep, making this more of a puzzle rather than a straightforward go fast game. not reall all that nuMarathon, there are design cues and some lore tidbits taken, but the visual aesthetic makes me think of older PSP games blended with some of that Designer's Republic high-contrast stuff music is cool, i like. jungle with some blends of y2k rave, enjoyable narrative is there, but it's veiled under hidden terminals and metric tons of stylization so i don't really know what is happening overall short game if you don't decide to go all-in on the account of really learning it and optimizing your routes to get diamond (and super Sikret dev score) ranks, still an enjoyable experience overall
