A well-deserved GOTY! What a game, my friends... this game is simply amazing from start to finish. I wasn't expecting much at first because before buying it, I found out that battles were turn-based, but I was surprised by how fun and addictive the combat actually is! Plus, you can build specific setups for each fight. The soundtrack that plays during battles and while exploring the environment is surrealy good (so much that I listen to it even when doing other stuff). The story is wonderful with an incredible plot twist, and the side quests are great with awesome boss fights. I got wrecked trying to beat certain bosses because I was leveling up my characters all wrong kkkkk. Overall, it was an awesome game from beginning to end! The character expressions in the cutscenes were perfect, and map exploration is simple yet really good. Truly an amazing game, a very well-deserved GOTY

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 | Perfect Game Review (100% Completion at 62.1 Hours) With Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 absolutely cleaning up at the Game Awards and invading my social media feed, I figured I’d finally see what all the fuss was about. Fast-forward to the credits, and I’d spent the entire game whispering “this is absolute cinema” at my screen like I was personally responsible for the standing ovation. Gameplay: As a fan of both genres, combining souls-like mechanics with turn-based combat was a real treat. The huge range of builds and smaller playable cast let me experiment without feeling overwhelmed. But if we’re being honest, about 95% of my squad decisions were just Maelle and Lune taking turns carrying the team. ★★★★★ Graphics: The character designs are fantastic, the cinematics are peak, and every area across the continent is ridiculously detailed. I genuinely didn’t mind getting lost without a map because there was always something gorgeous to stumble across. Even that creepy face-mask island looked incredible... although I’d happily get lost somewhere else next time. ★★★★★ Sound: I have far too many tracks permanently stuck in my head to give this anything less than a perfect score. Even the water level theme was an absolute banger. Now, I may not understand French, but that hasn’t stopped me from sneaking songs into my playlists and telling my family it’s just French pop music. ★★★★★ Story: I knew this was going to be top tier when I got emotionally attached to the characters within the first 30 minutes. Packed with twists, humour, heart, and plenty of emotional damage, the story keeps you invested from start to finish. The characters are bursting with personality, while the cinematics and storytelling are on another level. There were moments I wasn’t even sure if I was playing a game or watching a really good movie. ★★★★★ Replayability: With multiple builds, challenging encounters, collectibles, and a substantial post-game, there are plenty of reasons to return. And once you’ve finished everything, there’s also New Game+ for those who apparently haven’t suffered enough yet. ★★★★☆ Final Thoughts: Expedition 33 combines stunning visuals, phenomenal music, satisfying combat, and an unforgettable story into one hell of an RPG. It takes familiar ideas and somehow makes them feel fresh. It is also one of the few games I’d genuinely pay to have my memory wiped just so I could experience it all over again. ★★★★★ Overall Rating: 10/10, the Game Awards had me curious, the 9,999 emotional damage had me convinced.

**No spoilers To preface: before playing this, I wasn’t big into the whole turn-based Final Fantasy style combat. I scoffed when it won Game of the Year. I bought it a while back after seeing the reviews, but it sat on my “I’ll play it if there’s really nothing else I feel like playing” list. I finally gave it a chance, and I’m so glad I did. This is easily one of my top 5 favorite games. To keep it short: the story and plot are excellent, no complaints. There are a TON of cutscenes, which was a plus for me. At times it felt almost like watching a movie. It’s easy to become emotionally attached to the characters, whose personalities are very likeable. The atmosphere is gorgeous and the music is beautiful. They go hand-in-hand with each other. Overall, it's an incredible game and it definitely deserved GotY.

⭐Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a masterpiece.⭐ This game won 436 Game of the Year awards, making it one of the most awarded games in gaming history, and after finishing it, I completely understand why. I have played around 500 games in my life across many different genres. You can even see my complete game list on my profile. I have experienced so many different types of games, from action games to RPGs, adventure games, platformers and many more. I am also someone who pays a lot of attention to details in games. The atmosphere, the music, the world design, the characters, the gameplay systems, everything matters to me. Because of that, it is honestly very difficult for a game to completely surprise me and make me fall in love with it. But Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 did exactly that. I never expected a game to surpass some of my personal favorites like Assassin's Creed 2 or Life is Strange. Those games always had a special place for me. But this game changed everything. This is the best game I have ever played. I cried multiple times while playing this game. I even cried when it ended, not only because of the story, but simply because the journey was over. I was genuinely sad that this incredible experience had come to an end. I am still not ready to let go of this game. I will get all achievements and probably play through it again because I just cannot move on from this world yet. The music is absolutely incredible. It is so good that I actually listen to the soundtrack on Spotify in my free time. The gameplay is addictive, creative and something I never expected to enjoy this much. The funny thing is that I was extremely skeptical before playing this game. I never really got into JRPGs or turn based combat. I tried games with similar systems before, like Mario & Luigi and Paper Mario, but it was never really my favorite genre. I started this game with a lot of doubts. And then it immediately pulled me in. The story is so creative, complex and interesting. From the very beginning, I wanted to know more about this world and its mysteries. Even when I was still learning the controls and combat system, the game did an incredible job introducing everything naturally. The characters are written beautifully. The voice acting is amazing, and every character feels unique, understandable and memorable. The enemy designs are some of the most creative I have seen, the attacks are exciting, and the abilities are incredibly well animated. The whole progression system with Pictos, Lumina and the different builds is so creative. You are always thinking about your next combination, your next upgrade and how to make your team better. My biggest recommendation is to not look up guides for the strongest builds. Just experiment and create your own experience. The world design and graphics are also unbelievable. This is easily one of the most beautiful games I have ever seen. The environments, the atmosphere and the art direction are absolutely breathtaking. I took countless screenshots because I was constantly amazed by the world. The game also had almost no bugs for me, which is impressive. I could honestly talk about this game for hours. There is so much more I could say, but words are not enough to describe how special this experience was. I recommend this game to everyone. It does not matter if you usually like JRPGs, RPGs or even turn based combat. Give it a chance. This game is worth every single euro. Looking back, I would have easily paid 100€ for this experience. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is not just a game. It is a special experience that I will remember for a very long time. A true Game of the Year winner for a reason. I will never forget this experience 10/10⭐

P***** merde! For those who come after!
