Play Crysis 3 after this, Crysis 2 is a peasantry joke in front of this masterpiece.

At the time, it was the best looking game on the planet and it stills holds up well today. Gameplay is fun and replay value is good. A great gem from the 2000's.

I have played the original Crysis game back when it first came out so playing this was a great way to revisit the game with updated graphics, i noticed with this version, some physics aren't quite as good as the original while this has other details that the original didn't have that are better, i did have a few glitches happen but i think that's mainly because the game is running on the same general framework as the original despite being updated graphically and accessibility - still a great game, great story and i love the enemies in this game - this game is still my favorite first person shooter game, and all the nano suit abilities makes the whole gameplay so much more fun than any other first person shooter (in my opinion) I have played the sequels before but this one is always the stand-out of the series, it's definitely a lot of fun and worth playing through the story! Specific to this version: this version of the game actually has a lot of better benefits to it than the remastered version but the biggest issue with this version is that newer hardware is much more advanced and this game doesn't play nice with modern hardware, so there's a lot of preparation you need to do just to get this game to run nicely on modern hardware, so just keep that in mind when purchasing - if you want to play this game, definitely look into playing the remastered version if you want to avoid potential runtime issues or errors in game, otherwise, this version has even better physics than evne the remastered version, although the graphics in the remastered version definitely appears better, at least you know the options to weigh here, this original has better physics but risks not playing nice with modern hardware where the remaster loses some physics but nicer graphics and has a much easier time running on and cooperating with modern hardware

What a great game for it's time and still fully playable in 2026. In terms of performance it suffers from a limited cpu core support. Sadly also the newer released Crysis 1 Remastered isn't doing better with it either. So you have do deal with it either way. Although in my opinion it wasn't too much negatively affecting the gameplay. I didn't encounter any major bugs during my playthrough, only minor visual glitches. It is worth noting that some modding and tweaking is recommended/necessary to ensure a smooth gaming experience (for example, using the c1-launcher and "Crysis Enhanced"). However, that was a hurdle I was happy to take rather than buying a remastered version of a game I already own.

Absolute masterclass. Still plays so much better and feels head and shoulder above any Ubisoft Far Cry sequel made ever. I have never felt more dynamic and exciting firefights in a open world FPS game than what is presented here. I loved almost every single second of the campaign, although the much disliked zero gravity levels can get a bit grating but all in all, it was a 9/10 experience for me at least. This is the good stuff.

Crysis 2007 version. finally i decided to play this PC rig killer game, main reason i never touched it because i am not a grapics maniac, but sooner or later i had to play it, and i am mostly impressed how the game still holds up, the tone is on "mostly", just like its predecessor the first far cry game this one is also trying to impress the player with its graphical and visual elements combined with epic combat in the tropical jungle. the only thing that not really aged well are the face animations, mostly just the jaw movements you are notice and not much else, and the eyelid movements is something you dont want to se XD but anyway, the game is mostly fine and the gameplay can be brutal when you are playing on delta level difficulty, ohh boy you gona wish a easier time when you start facing nanoshuit NK soldiers and the alien insects, also you can modify your weapons with holo sight, laser sight, flashlight or underbarrel grenade launcher, the selection of weapons and attachments are limited but they are working well, especially with your nanosuit abilities. speaking of nano suit, this thing can be your savior or your biggest enemy, it all depends on how well you can adapt to the changing combat situations, most of the time i used the invisibility and strength combination, the invisibility because when things get to hot you need a escape and the only way is to walk away in front of the enemy :D, strength also useful because you can jump up on positions you cant reach naturaly (rocks, roof tops, etc...) and you can also throw nades much further. as i said i played and finished the game on delta difficulty, sadly the armor ability is very situational, most of the time it was only useful when i finished off the last strugglers, speed mainly been useful to go from point A to pont B, in my opinion its drains to much energy. but overall the suit was fine. last words, its still a fine game, altrough you need some work to make it start because this 2007 version has some aging problem on new systems, mainly because of the old DX9.
