I understand why not everyone likes this game, and I think part of the issue is how we define games in the first place. This is more of an "experience" than a game, but I found it to be very empathetic towards depression, which is something sorely lacking in our society.

This game Is ground zero for how a lot of people learned and got roped into gamergate, the reason I've seen certain people talk online like they've got to sleep with one eye open every day. after the gamergate controversy, the fact that it was over such a huge mess of a controversy Is wild to me but hilarious at the same time, I wish humanity can go back and undo this canon event In stupidity and accountability failure but sadly we can't and now we just have to sit with it and the insanity that came with it. oh I guess i got to make a review of the game too! it's okay, short but nice, it's about someone trying to get out of depression and fix their life to be happier and not get overtaken by depression. the route to get there is not long, and not bad. definitely an inoffensive game about depression, idk what else to say!

it's a small, little game about dealing with depression. ive only gotten a good ending so far, but i do appreciate that the good ending involves several moments of taking action, which has been helpful for getting me out of depressive spirals in the past. i dont think ill ever need therapy for depression, much less medication, but it's still helpful to realize that my experience is not unique and other people have gotten out of this.

Uma Visual Novel bem simples, porém tem uma história que achei relativamente bem escrita e com uma mensagem importante ao final do gameplay. O jogo se propõem a ser um simulador de depressão, e em vários pontos ele acerta, especialmente com os loopings de pensamentos negativos constantes, ao ponto que se você se entrega a narrativa, fica até um pouco difícil não sentir um certo aperto no peito de já ter tido os mesmos questionamentos do protagonista. Obviamente essa história é só um único ponto de vista, palatável até demais se eu for bem honesta, mas é aquilo, por ser algo que busca gerar empatia e melhor compreensão daquilo que pessoas com depressão podem experenciar, é uma boa experiência pra matar uma horinha de tempo livre (se você estiver com cabeça pra isso).

in hindsight this game was super important, not for anything it is or does but for a review it received. this little CYOA text adventure is why modern US politics are the way they are. GamerGate started because of THIS. That's all to say, make your little platformer tech demo and post it on itch.io, send an application for your 2 dev passion project to steam greenlight. If this can shape a nation your virtual studio project with ms paint sprites can change someone's life

powerful narrative and very good and realistic dialogue choices. i dont know how this has mixed reviews man. give it a shot
