I played Digimon Masters for several hundred hours during the initial years of the game, since its original release under Joymax's WeMade Entertainment in 2011; it was fun enough for some years for Digimon fans to collect and raise Digimon. For Steam's 2016 release, the game's ownership was transferred to GameKing under Move Games (now MOVE INTERACTIVE), and I was pretty inactive by then, but I played the new Steam server a fair bit as well (still from the standalone launcher). Over the years since I stopped playing, GameKing has slowly corrupted the game from a decent old school MMO into gacha slop, extracting as much money as possible from its userbase through shady gambling and lootbox systems. The final straw is now an event promoting players to create AI-generated content, which is the antithesis of the childlike wonder and creativity that the Digimon intellectual property is based on and should stand for. If you must play a Digimon MMO, at least make it Digimon RPG Online or Super Rumble, or better yet, a community-run private server for these games, to avoid supporting GameKing or MOVE INTERACTIVE altogether. It is very sad that South Korean companies have held a legal stranglehold on all Digimon MMO games since 2002, because international developers could probably make much better officially licensed MMO games, provided the freedom to do so from Bandai.

If I install the base game on one drive, that means I want the launcher to install the game on that drive and not my C drive.

I used to play this game constantly waaaay back when. It's become an absolute joke lately. My hours say 0.2, but I played this game back when I didn't even have a Steam account and you had to download the launcher from an official website. Back when the game was worth playing. It's been overrun with bots and microtransactions that never existed back then, and even after it was taken over by Gameking, they haven't done anything to fix simple things like grammar issues in the beginning. The UI is worse than it used to be, which is honestly saying something, but at least back then it could be forgiven with how new online gaming was. There have been no improvements from fifteen years ago, just tacking on BS, living off bots, and preying on well-off people by using nostalgia and putting out minimum effort into anything new. You'd have a better experience trying to make your own unofficial Digimon online game. Do yourself a favor and just play Time Strangers. This MMO used to be my whole life, but they've outright mirked it into the ground.
