Don't remember a single thing about this game, but it was amazing. More casual FFT I guess? With wild story.

In my opinion, this is Disgaea at its peak. The gameplay is at it's best with it's over the top action and stat building, grinding is more fun than ever and you can find many legit ways to speed leveling up quick, item world generation is at it's best. The cast is....decent, I don't think any cast will surpass Disgaea 1 and 4's cast but the cast here is fine, very over the top sterotypical anime personalities but that's kind of Disgaea's thing. This is most likely the most addicting Disgaea as well, I have a hard time putting this one down compared to the other ones because the gameplay loop in 5 is so so satisfying. If you have some weird hyperfixation with navigating menus and adjusting RPG stats, this game is going to be your cocaine. This was the last mainline Disgaea game they used 2D sprites for, which in my opinion is a loss for the future of the series, I'm personally not a fan of Disgaea using 3D models for units but this is just a bias and preference. I don't think I need to add anymore, if you love the series, grinding, RPG menus, over the blown JRPG action and anime tone, than this game is perfect for you. You don't need to play the other Disgea's to enjoy this one, though I do suggest you play 1-4 if you did enjoy this game (3 is kind of mid and locked to PS3 and Vita with no port in site though, rip)

Tied with 7 and/or 1 as the peak of the series, but I would recommend this one first if I had to choose.
