Duke Nukem Forever to jeden z najbardziej legendarnych przypadków produkcyjnego chaosu w historii gier. Po kilkunastu latach oczekiwania Duke w końcu powrócił – niestety zdecydowanie za późno. Dostajemy klasycznego FPS-a pełnego strzelania, kosmitów, absurdalnego humoru i charakterystycznego ego głównego bohatera. Duke rzuca tekstami, podrywa kobiety i zachowuje się dokładnie tak, jakby lata 90. nigdy się nie skończyły. Problemem nie jest jednak sam Duke, tylko gra wokół niego. Strzelanie jest przeciętne, przeciwnicy mało interesujący, poziomy nierówne, a całość sprawia wrażenie posklejanej z pomysłów pochodzących z kilku różnych epok. Są tutaj pojedyncze zabawne momenty, interaktywne elementy otoczenia i trochę nostalgii za Duke Nukem 3D. To jednak zdecydowanie za mało. Po tak długim procesie produkcji powstała gra, która już w dniu premiery wydawała się przestarzała. Duke zasługiwał na znacznie lepszy powrót. Nie polecam.

WHY PEOPLE SAY THAT THIS GAME SUCKS, BRO I FREAKING LOVE IT. People can say whatever they want about Duke Nukem Forever, but honestly, I had a damn good time with it. Is it perfect? Hell no. Is it one of the greatest FPS games ever made? Probably not. But it has something a lot of modern games seem to forget: personality. The Duke Nukem humor, ridiculous weapons, aliens, explosions, one-liners, and completely over-the-top situations make the game memorable. The game definitely has its flaws, but I think it gets judged way too harshly sometimes. If you go into it expecting a flawless masterpiece, you're going to have a bad time. If you go into it wanting a dumb, chaotic, old-school Duke Nukem adventure, there's a lot to enjoy. The campaign has some genuinely fun moments, the weapons are satisfying, and playing as Duke himself is half the fun. It's basically the gaming equivalent of eating junk food at 2 AM. You know it's not exactly high cuisine, but you're still having a great time. Duke Nukem Forever deserves more love. 10/10 GAME🔥⭐ Hail to the King, baby. 👑

I am a simple man. Tits, aliens, Trenbolone, smoking, endless alcohol, guns, and chicks. Duke Nukem Forever is a glorified narcissist's dream—a playable ego-trip where Duke literally is the undisputed center of the universe. It’s the ultimate escape into that full-blown "toxic masculine" stereotype. In a world where that label has become heavily stigmatized in public discourse, this game is just pure, unfiltered fun in 2026. It's crazy how much society has shifted since this released—at times, you almost feel like you have toexplain too an GenZ onlooker what’s happening on your screen. Had a blast for what it is. The only real downside is compatibility—getting these older titles to run smoothly on modern rigs without technical headaches is rapidly becoming a massive pain in the ass. Still, a nostalgic shot of pure testosterone. Hail to the King, baby.

A fairly linear and completely outrageous FPS that fully embraces Duke Nukem's absurd humor and over-the-top style. The gameplay is straightforward and enjoyable enough, with plenty of ridiculous situations along the way. This game used to be a joke because of how long it took to develop. Flash forward to 2026 and you wait the same amount of time or more for the next Grand Theft Auto or Elder Scrolls. :(

I have played a few hundred games. At this point, I'm probably getting dangerously close to 1,000 games played. I've finished good games. I've finished bad games. I've finished games that made me question my life choices. I've even finished games purely because I spent money on them and refused to let those €5 go to waste. But Duke Nukem Forever defeated me. And that's honestly impressive. When I was younger, I remember thinking this game was actually pretty good. Duke was funny, the game was ridiculous, everything was explosions and one-liners — childhood me was having the time of his life. Coming back to it now, however, I have one question: WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥ WAS I THINKING? The game is still funny sometimes, and Duke being Duke can definitely make you laugh. But actually playing the game for more than a few hours feels like being trapped in a time capsule from 2011 with no emergency exit. I kept telling myself: "Okay, maybe it gets better after this part." It didn't. "Maybe the next level will be more fun." It wasn't. "I've finished worse games than this." Apparently, I haven't. This is one of the extremely few 1/5 games that I simply could not finish. Not because it was too difficult. Not because of a bug. Not because my PC exploded. I just physically could not convince myself to launch it again. Some games are timeless classics. Some games age like fine wine. Duke Nukem Forever aged like the milk Duke probably left somewhere in his bathroom. Childhood me: 10/10 masterpiece. Adult me, after playing hundreds of games: I would rather reorganize my Steam library than finish this. Still funny though. Duke Nukem Forever? Yeah, unfortunately, playing it felt like forever. 💀
