This game had everything it needed to be one of the best sports games in years. It had the hype, the community, the foundation, and enormous potential. Unfortunately, what should have been a great game has instead become another example of what feels like EA prioritizing profit over quality, innovation, and the community that keeps its games alive. The most frustrating part is that many of the problems with this game were completely avoidable. It isn't difficult to listen to the community when players are consistently asking for the same features, improvements, and quality-of-life changes. Instead, EA seems to repeatedly make decisions that limit the game's usefulness while creating more opportunities to monetize players. Rather than investing meaningful development time into making existing modes deeper, more functional, and more enjoyable, it feels like content and functionality are intentionally held back so they can be marketed later as features in another title. The modding community and TeamCrafters have made this even more obvious. Players have demonstrated just how much creativity and potential exists within this game when they are given the tools to do something with it. The community has essentially shown EA what is possible, yet EA continues to restrict what players can actually do within the official game. That makes it difficult not to believe that certain limitations aren't technical impossibilities, but deliberate decisions designed to keep players buying the next game. One of the most significant examples is Team Builder and Dynasty. Making Dynasty fully functional with offline Team Builder would have greatly enhanced the game's replayability and longevity. This approach could have fostered trust among players and encouraged future purchases. It would have allowed players to create their own teams, build custom conferences and dynasties, and continue enjoying the game without relying on online features. Instead, we're left with restrictions that detract from what could have been one of the game's greatest strengths. This is what makes the situation so disappointing. EA had the opportunity to create a sports game franchise that could have endured for years of future developments, thanks to its community and customization potential. This commitment could have extended beyond the current game and positively influenced future releases by building trust and ensuring players felt they would receive a high-quality product, rather than a simple rehash with a few extra features. Sadly, it seems the company continues to follow a familiar pattern: releasing a highly anticipated game, making only minimal improvements, monetizing the community whenever possible, withholding useful features, and then using some of those features to promote the next installment. At this point, I'm honestly glad I bought this game, not because I think it was worth the money, but because it showed me firsthand how EA manages its games and interacts with its community. Watching so much potential get wasted by decisions that seem completely avoidable has taken a lot of the enjoyment out of the game. This will be the last EA game I buy. I'm tired of supporting a company that seems more interested in maximizing short-term profit than building great games and giving its community the tools it has repeatedly asked for. The community has shown EA what it wants, modders have shown what is possible, and players have continued to support the franchise. The fact that EA still chooses to do the bare minimum with that opportunity says everything. A game with this much potential deserved better. Football deserved better.

Gamepley mechanics are trash. Road to glory feels unplayable when you're watching receivers drop pass after pass and RBs get stuck running into other players. And the wear and tear mechanic is pretty stupid too. Overall, I thought this game was just difficult to play because it had been a while since I played NCAA/Madden but the longer I play it the more I think it's just a piece of dog s***. There goes $70

Literally the worst game I have ever played. Cannot believe I caved to EA and bought this. Back to RPCS3 and NCAA 14 which is an infinitely more fun and better experience. EA BLOWS and if the game didn't take an hour to launch I would ask for a refund. This is insane. Disappointed is an understatement.

Horrible passing mechanics, Madden 07 from 20 years ago has way better passing. Wear and tear makes Road To Glory basically unplayable. They thankfully removed microtransactions..... but left all the terrible features that they figured would make players buy microtransactions like wear and tear are still there. So some modes, especially Road To Glory is basically a husk of a game. Like a terrible mobile game that only exists for microtransactions but the store is shut down so you're just stuck with even stinker garbage. Sucks that the first college football game on pc is just 2026 business slop. Please don't buy

"Pretend it's a simulation game and you'll enjoy it more." This is great in thought, until you let the game simulate for you. Then you're constantly wondering why your 90 overall Stanford offense cannot move the ball on 73 overall Syracuse, or 71 overall Norfolk State, or 69 overall Charlotte...all whilst those offenses are racking it up for 27, 35, 32 points against your 91 overall defense. And so you do some googling, and it says your playbook is bad. So you change your playbook, pick one of the meta ones just because you're tired of watching your team score 6, 10, 13 points - only to watch them score 7, 13, or 17 instead. But then you simulate against 98 overall Notre Dame, and year after year beat them by 20+. There is no consistency, it just feels random. "But why not play the games?" Because I'm tired of my RT standing straight up, as if he's just had some glorious revelation, just for the LEDG to bullrush my QB in 1.5 seconds. The blocking logic as a whole, on both sides, so often just leaves free defenders rushing into the backfield, whether the defense is even or undermanned. I'm tired of seeing D-line players jumping to knock down my passes before my QB animation has begun, because they're reacting to the button press. The same issue exists with the DB's, turning around and ball-hawking anything in their area because they know you pressed A, not because your QB is actually throwing it. I'm tired of watching the AI QB always get the ball off right before a sack and it NEVER being a fumble, or a 5'9" 163 lb slot receiver tanking 6 different hit sticks on his way for a 70+ yard touchdown. And it feels like every player has electromagnets in their shoulderpads. Defenders flashing 7 yards at incredible speeds to catch up for pass breakups, your offensive players just getting stuck like velcro to your own blockers, or you better hope you don't have to run a lot of mesh plays, because your crossing drag routes will spend some very needed time bearhugging in the middle of the field. The game feels like it hates you, which sucks because this is the only fully fleshed college football game to my knowledge, at least in the legal sense. I will continue to play for that reason alone, and hope it improves, but I'm not having fun.

This game is a genuine waste of space. It's essentially a copy and paste made cooler for menu merchants, and don't get me wrong, NIL is a great addition, but it feels like that's it. They repasted the same gameplay mechanics and still, somehow, messed that up. Make it make sense, yo.

Just so broken. BS happens all the time. Buggiest game I own. Pay to win. Just don't do it. It's too late for me. EA worst company to ever create games.

By far the worst game of the new series. Games feel completely scripted. In Dynasty I'll be down 31-3 at halftime to a bad team where my O-line is getting completely run over, QB is missing every throw, wide receivers are dropping the passes that make it to them, players keep getting injured, field goals are getting blocked, no one is covering anyone on defense... you name it and it's happening. I turn off the game and reload it and it's the total opposite and I win by 50 points. If this happens once or twice a season to a good team then fine but the issue is that it's happening every other game to teams that I have the overall advantage on. It almost feel like they want you off of Dynasty so you can try out Ultimate Team so they have a chance of making more money off of the micro transactions. Hopefully mods will make the game more balanced in the future but for now, it's unplayable.
