My first gacha game and intro to Final Fantasy. Played it only when I heard about end of support, got addicted and obviously had to 100% it. Great stories and cinematics, and all characters are unique and awesome! Combat needed some getting used to, choosing gear and materia to equip, changing stances between Attack and Defense, and then swapping between 3 characters sometimes got a bit overwhelming, but played mostly on Auto. The battle towers were challenging but with the 3rd Anniversary rewards, it got much easier. I will miss this game, will definitely recommend but won't be able to play it anymore.

If you're fan of Final Fantasy VII this game has exclusive lore about First Soldier, and lore when Sephiroth was young, and how he got his sword it's a really interesting story. I been into FF7 lore since late 90s, play PS1 FF7 every year as one of my top favorite out of the FF series next to FF9 that also great game highly recommend playing. This contains story for FF7, FF7 Before Crisis, FF7 Core Crisis, FF7 Dirge, FF7 Advent Children, and FF7 First Soldier. Due to taking long break, I learn game server shutting down which sucks, and hate to see this goes offline forever which why I'm giving this a thumbs down. I mean they could've made campaign offline, but nope they're killing it, which bothers me they're doing this, as some of the lore going be lost to time since we're only going be able learn from wiki, and youtubes soon. I only rush to finish where I left off, and happy play though it all, and enjoy the story once again.

I played this mostly on mobile, and while the game was undeniably well-made with fantastic additional lore (especially the young Sephiroth storyline), it was such a curse to rot that content in a predatory gacha game. The addictive loop kept me hooked way longer than I actually wanted to play. Honestly, I’m just relieved the servers are finally shutting down. My only hope now is that Square Enix takes these stories and gives them to us properly as full-fledged, standalone games. Good riddance to the grind.

Ever Crisis: um resumo de todas as entradas do FF7, em que tudo só aconteceu porque Lucrécia ficou de cu doce. Se relançarem como jogo single e sem casino eu recomendo.

So, now that we are in the final month and I had been playing since it's initial release from an android all the way through Steam and until the end... well on and off. So, you might see my 580+ hours (not including time on the phone) and ask if I'd recommend this. I'd proceed to laugh, then laught louder, and even louder after that, even a bit crazed. You'd attempt to ask my why I'm laughing but I'd interrupt you with even louder crazed laughter. Then I'd stop. I'd look you dead in the eyes and in the calmest voice reply, "No", and that's even if it wasn't about to end service. (Pros and Cons Summary List at the end) First I want to make a very clear point. I do not like gacha, mobile, use-energy to play, etc. games. I only got into this because I knew how much the KH mobile games added to the story (and missed out on) and I didn't want to miss any of that here or not be a part of it. So, I committed but it seemed to not run well on my phone. Eventually it releases on Steam and I hope better for there and even though my PC is well above the recommended... it still runs terribly. It takes forever to start up, often getting stuck on a black screen, often times freezing and needing to restart and still might not run properly the next time. Eventually the game might load and it'll seem to run okay until you interact between menus and notice some varying delays. The actual battles tend to run alright solo but have had some online matches be slideshows. Connecting with others is just a big ol' dice roll and you don't know how well the connection will be and no proper way to communicate. Gameplay and Story. For the most part the gameplay is an autobattler. You can take control and manually but is not neede untill you get to endgame/critical battles or really just not upgrading equipment. Frnakly, switching between characters and micromanaging cast bars is too much of a pain here, especially with how poor the game runs sometimes but I also am not particularly invested in the gameplay anyways. Story goes through the main scenarios of the main game, Crisis Core, Dirge, Advent Children, Before Crisis, and the Original to this game First Soldier story. Each has a varying amount of story segments, battles, and dungeons. Dungeons act like a FF game where you walk around and get random battles but movement is sluggish and I really just wanted to get through to the next actual story beat. The new story presented starts off REAL slow and probably doesn't pick up for several chapters in. The new cinematics are nice that seem to tie into the Remake series and a little bit more story on classic characters is appreciated. Leveling and skill system has only expanded as time goes on and feels decent enough but all of it is just a grind. Materia is a thing, you have to synthesize it. You have to spend A LOT of resources to make materia and your chances of getting anything decent are far lower than they should be especially since you have to wait several hours for some materia to even complete. It's exhausting, needlessly so. You couldn't even carry that many until recently and you'd have to fumble around trying to figure out which ones you don't need. Special note. Co-op in this game is abysmal. Battles are broken into tiers and you can only search for specific battle tiers for other players. There is no, "join any" to help fill in slots there is simply a "hope other people are still fighting the low tier battle" to get rewards which... unless you are doing it the day of or after... you can forget about ever getting matched. The highest tier battles are not only brutal but hide minimum requirements making it far too easy for underprepared players to pop in unsuspectingly and either get dropped from teh match or have you all fail using up potentially energy and an attempt. You are also ONLY rewarded for playing with players you never met before. There is no consecutive or repeated team rewards for playing with another player again... it almost seems like you aren't supposed to commune with like individuals. Really, there should have been incentives for both. Guilds are pretty mandatory for access to certain weapons, resources, and bonuses. Though if you are inactive for too long, you'll be autokicked. I get that they don't want people abandoning the game and a guild stuck with an inactive player but I get burned out of this game and can't play weeks at a time despite how much I would contribute to guild battles. It is what it is but kinda annoying. The simple artwork and icons for characters is great, in game models also look nice. The costumes are criminally good. The gacha... I'm mixed on. First, there are tons of ways to get free currency. However, the amount for actually buying currency is abysmal. The gacha you are rolling for is weapons which is a bit underwhelming especially when you get several weapons that look near the same with underwhelming effects. It's the name of the gacha game but.. it just isn't the same. There are costumes but those are locked behind stamps. You only get stamps when you do 10 rolls at once and you may get more than one stamp but likely you willl just get one total each time. Costumes Need 12 stamps total (unless a special draw says otherwise). That means you'd need over 36,000 currency to get a single costume. This equates to roughly $240 if you were to use only paid currency at one of the lower crystal bundles. Again, there are a lot of ways to get free currency... but that does eventually dry up and if you are going event to event trying to get even most costumes... you'll have to make hard choices of what you actually want unless you want to spend the bigger dollars. Pro's: -Slightly expanded story on the FF7 universe that ties into the Remake series. -Criminally amazing costumes - You can get a generous amount of free crystals if you are patient and willing to miss out on some pull periods. -Great artwork for character portraits. -Chibi models are cute. -New and returning characters. -Fair amount of free draws (limited) -Interesting events Cons: -Costumes are locked by stamps which gets crazy pricey fast -Main gacha revolves around weapons which is kinda boring compared to the character centric gacha of most series (I get it doesn't work as well here but... eh) -cost of crystals (in game currency) is ludicrous. $20 for a 10 pull (10 pulls are needed to get even just 1 stamp towards a 12 stamp costume) -Story can be a bit of a slog with nothing happening most of the time -Completely awful game performance regardless of settings. -Co-op is poorly thought out, desentivez sticking with a group. Trying to join an invite never seemed to work for me. -Trying to get lower tier co-op rewards... may as well not bother. -Battle is simplistic and often requires little strategy until you reach the super end game content that requires way too much min maxxing. (or just have insanely busted weapons you roll) -Materia synthesizing is not only resources heavy, but lacks any good guarantees for how exhausting and time consuming it gets to be. I've seen other people say "well it's not as bad as other gachas". One, I don't like gachas period. Two, I don't care if it's not as bad, it's still bad. I'd probably less critical if the performance wasn't as abhorrant but it just makes me spend more time on something that already asks you to grind a lot of time. If there's anything we get out of this, I hope it's more official support for these costumes getting into Revelations. if not, modders... you know what to do (and are already doing).

A Worthy Museum Visit Before the Doors Close Forever This is the kind of game where, had I never played it, I’d have died happier, but dumber. Despite all of its flaws, FINAL FANTASY VII EVER CRISIS is a genuinely lovable experience, provided you view it in the right context. First off, it’s completely free-to-play literally anyone can jump in without spending a dime. It’s also important to remember before tearing it to shreds that this was built primarily as a mobile title, not a native PC/Steam release. That said, Square Enix committed a massive blunder here: marketing. The game was so poorly advertised that I only truly learned about its substance when the news hit global media that the servers were shutting down. Determined not to miss out on my final chance, I decided to dive in, no matter what. The premise is straightforward: it condenses and compiles scenarios from the original FFVII, Crisis Core, Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, Before Crisis, and The First Soldier. The real meat of the game "the absolute secret sauce" comes from the First Soldier and Before Crisis chapters, which explore uncharted narrative territory. Getting to see Sephiroth before his descent into madness is incredible. You witness his inner doubts, and even through the lens of a mobile title, the narrative weight and immersion hit hard. Sephiroth genuinely struggles with the consequences of his actions, making him feel grounded and incredibly badass. While I had already experienced Crisis Core via its modern PC release, older spin-offs like Dirge of Cerberus and Before Crisis were locked behind older platforms or region barriers. Given recent rumors and expectations for FFVII Remake Part 3 (where DLCs focusing on Vincent and young Sephiroth seem likely), missing out on these storylines wouldn’t have been total doom, but experiencing how Square envisioned them here was nothing short of wonderful. It just felt good to live through these moments. As for the gameplay itself? Look, I’ve played better mobile games. The battle system is passable, and the grind/farming is tedious, though thankfully not infuriating. Because of the impending end-of-service deadline and my desire to guarantee achievement completion, I’ll admit I used guides especially for the Battle Towers to avoid getting stuck for days, but doing so didn't diminish my overall enjoyment one bit. What truly saddens me is that the game is officially ending, meaning countless FF fans will miss out on experiencing this firsthand. I know it was a free-to-play title so we have no right to demand anything, but it remains a historical piece of Final Fantasy VII lore that deserves to be preserved for posterity. As of writing this review, there is about a month left before the servers go dark. If you haven't played it yet, now is the time to rush through it. Will you love every single minute of it? Probably not. It’s not that kind of flawless masterpiece. But do it out of love for Final Fantasy. This isn’t a FOMO call you won’t miss anything you couldn’t eventually catch on YouTube or in future FFVII content. Think of it simply as paying your respects to a museum exhibition right before it closes its doors forever. Final Verdict: Recommended for true FFVII fans before time runs out.
