incredible simulation game and not only just that incredible game to profess your love to professional wrestling to after a long time in mission mode finally got 100% achievement super happy to have gotten this game so cheap as the mileage i have gotten out of it is insane. feels like you're a kid in an arcade but for now i must bid you AHdieu, goodbye MWAH and goodnight BANG

I bought this game a few years ago, when it was on the Steam winter sale. I installed it, played it, and I did not think much of it, because back in the day, I had no idea who was NJPW. I ended up uninstalling it, and moving on. Some years later, I had taken interest in NJPW, and I began to play the older games of Fire Pro, not realizing that I had Fire Pro Wrestling World in my library. I reinstalled it again, and I began to play it. I must say, this is a really good game. If you did purchase this game along with all of the downloadable content, you may say to yourself, "Wow, this isn't much of a roster, or arenas, or rings, or anything." Yeah, I agree, but if you have this game and all of the DLC, there is one thing you may have forgotten. The saving grace of this game: Steam Workshop. The workshop element brings this game not only to life, but to a whole new level, because not only can you subscribe to pro-wrestlers, you can subscribe to MMA, and even some characters on TV and other video games, not to mention some really crazy move sets, and ring pieces. Without Steam Workshop, this game would have fallen short. I have had some people ask me, "What kind of game is Fire Pro Wrestling World?" Well, let's look at it this way: WWE has had their games from THQ, the SmackDown vs Raw, and their 2K games that are out recently. AEW has AEW Fight Forever. TNA has their older games that came out on consoles. In Japan, you have the NJPW, which is New Japan Pro-Wrestling. NJPW has not had a game come out in some time (at least on consoles and PC), and the franchise went downhill for some time. Fire Pro, led by Tomoyuki Matsumoto and others, most famously Goichi Suda (also known as Suda51) took on the licensing for NJPW and created this game, releasing it in 2017. This is the first time a game has been released for NJPW since Wrestle Kingdom 2 in 2007. Now, let's look at the pros. First, the controls take some getting used to. Once you mastered the controls, the game is easy. You have to remember this game is on a 2D spectrum. This is old school as it gets. Second, the size of the game itself. This game is about roughly 5 GB, dwarfing any of the new WWE 2K games, which makes it easy to install, and quickly. Third, like I said, the Steam Workshop. Four, using Steam Workshop, you can literally create your own promotions, your own stables. You can build your own rosters, or move people around from the NJPW main roster and move them to your own built roster. The possibilities are endless. Then there are the cons, and I once you play this game, you can see for yourself if you have issues with this game, but I can tell you a HUGE one. This one bit it for me. This game runs on 4 GB RAM. This means that if you overload the game, it will crash. This also means that with Steam Workshop, there is a subscription limit, no more than 15,000 subscriptions, and I can assure you, when you get to the top, the game will get overloaded and it will crash. A lot. I am not kidding. This game will crash at start up. Right at launch. Spike Chunsoft and the Fire Pro team need to fix this so this will not happen. Google AI will tell you that the sweet spot is roughly 0-5,000, but the problem with that is when you find some really cool wrestlers from different promotions that you want to install, especially the real, life-like ones, they have a massive amount of subscriptions attached to that one edit, and you have to install every one of those subscriptions in order for it to work properly. This means your 15,000 subscription limit will go up quick with just a handful of wrestlers. I am not kidding. You could utilize the wrestler cache, and find ways to save the edits and then unsubscribe, but when you do that, I will tell you, the game cannot handle it and it will overload and crash. Once again, I am not kidding. If you, who happen to read this, decide to purchase this game, I will say you ABSOLUTELY MUST purchase all of the DLC for this game. Trust me, it makes the game much more interesting. Second, if you do purchase this game with all of the DLC, you need to go onto Discord, find Carlzilla, subscribe to Carlzilla, download and install the PWPatcher and the ModPack. You must absolutely do this. I can assure you, the game will be so much easier and you can do so much more than what the game originally has. I do not know how he did it or does it, by Carlzilla brought this game to life. So, to sum it all up, if you love the Fire Pro series, this game is great. If you love NJPW, definitely get this game. This game is great. If you love to build your own promotions, download subscriptions via Steam Workshop and play as those wrestlers or whatever as wrestlers, then you should check this game out. This game is great. This game is great, but only if you bear in mind its limits, and bear in mind that it is so much better with ModPack. I hope this helps.

If you like character creation games, this is easily one of the best. The perfect game for me has been hiding in plain sight. How have I never heard of this 8 year old game of this 35 year old series?

Alternativa si ya estas aburrido de los mismos juegos de wrestling de siempre, lo recomiendo muchisimo es muy bueno, al principio estaras confundido con los controles pero una vez juegas y descubres q tocar se vuelve entretenido.

The game was fine for the first few years I played it. But now, it doesn't even load anymore. The game is stuck on the black loading screen, even on my new laptop. And it sounds like there's others that are having this issue as well. And neither Spike Chunsoft nor Steam are willing to resolve the issue for whatever reason.
