Halo: Spartan Assault is a short and enjoyable twin stick shooter that does exactly what it sets out to do without trying to be much more than that. The gameplay is simple, the missions are quick, and the Halo setting works well with this style of game, making it easy to recommend if you want something small that you can finish without investing a huge amount of time. That said, if you have already played Halo: Spartan Strike, be prepared for a lot of déjà vu. The two games are extremely similar in their structure, gameplay and overall concept, to the point where playing both back to back can make the experience feel almost redundant. Spartan Assault actually feels better to me in some aspects, particularly visually, which makes the differences between the two even harder to justify as separate experiences. The PC version also has an annoying limitation with its display options, as you are essentially stuck with fullscreen or a very small window. Still, for what it is, Spartan Assault is a fun little Halo game and worth playing if you want a short top-down shooter. I just wouldn't recommend playing both games expecting two substantially different experiences. Pretty decent game, good enough sandbox offering decent length of gameplay. Although Spartan Strike is clearly much better than this in basically every way, but still worth playing. Recommended to get it from the Halo: Spartan Bundle so you get Halo: Spartan Strike too, as it is much better.

A good Halo game that still holds up! I am in love with the tied-in continuity of Halo 3, Halo Wars, & Halo Reach equipment and vehicles. It compliments those older games well. I experienced little to no bugs playing this, and I was pleased to see that the microtransactional Store-Bought Credits systems (as seen in the Windows & Xbox versions) was replaced/merged with earned experience points you gain from ACTUALLY PLAYING the GAME. To whomever made that change, I tip my hat to you. 10 hours in, and I'm still having fun. Gonna try & 100% it.

По сути это рогалик в популярной вселенной Halo, который подойдет как игра либо фанатам серии, чтобы больше углубиться в лор, либо фанатам жанра шутеров с видом сверху. Причем этот жанр заставил меня вспомнить игру детства Alien Shooter. Но для фанатов жанра есть игры и поинтереснее в этом сегменте. Сюжет простой, проходится быстро, скучать не успеешь, тем более уровни тут короткие. В целом если и берете, то только по скидке Я как фанат серии рекомендую разок пройти

Doesn't even load up the game any more. Black screen of death. No matter how many "fixes" the online community went through. Shame really.

Fun, small twin stick shooter. Introduces one of characters that appear in later mainline games. Absolutely fine way to spend an afternoon or two. Also, I don't like how Palmer is like "that's the only cool stuff I've done that they tell you about? How about this other cool stuff". I get that she's a Spartan and she's already much more powerful than regular marine and that's cool but in this game she's not even a character, she's nothing more than avatar and her acting like she's the coolest person ever is just annoying and it gets worse in Halo 4. Thankfully she only exists as a character in one cutscene.

Damals am Smartphone schon klasse gewesen, Gelungenes Halo Arcade geballer aus der Vogelperspektive. Die Grafik kann sich immer noch sehen lassen. Missionen sind unterschiedlich gestaltet, neigen aber zur Wiederholung, ist aber verkraftbar wie ich finde.
