a great puzzle game, with some really high quality levels so far! i've been routinely getting stumped on the last few levels in the areas i've played, so difficulty wise it's more challenging than i expected going into it one tiny nitpick is that i really don't like level names that describe the idea within the level, it feels weird to often be given a big hint just from a level name. quite a few level-based puzzle games do this and i've never really been a fan at one point it made a puzzle really trivial and now i'm just in the habit of closing my eyes at the start of every puzzle, which is admittedly really silly but i don't like hints ok edit: the end game was the most impressive part of the game for me! it's just the right amount of challenge, totally doable on your own and so satisfying once everything falls into place

Great puzzle game. I had an amazing time hurting my brain with those gravity based puzzles. The difficulty is increasing satisfyingly, not too slow, not too fast. There's an in-game hint system. I wanted to go for 100% no hint but I ended up looking at them on the 2 levels separating me from completion, after 2 hours wondering about the correct setups. I feel like I sold my soul at the end, but I can definitely say I had a great time otherwise lol.

Excellent game! I love these mechanics and the puzzles are really very good. I was planning on only playing for maybe a couple hours and ended up playing pretty much the whole weekend. As someone who gets motion sickness from first person games, I appreciate the settings that allow instant rotations. They really helped and after about the first hour, I was completely fine. Can't wait to dig in more and discover more secrets!

I was sort of skeptical coming into this one, but after He Who Watches' first few minutes, it almost immediately assured me with zero uncertainty that it was punching with the same weight as some of the best puzzle games of all time, with amazing puzzles and an incredibly creative main mechanic beside a hint system and secrets that, although very satisfying, do leave room for improvement. He Who Watches' gravity-bending ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is some of the most intrinsically mind-bending gameplay I have ever had the pleasure of solving, and it's 3D portal-like chambers are able to be kept so simple that there is almost never anything in a puzzle that isn't immediately clear or visible. Its puzzles are amazing, and do an incredible job of having you bend the mechanics of the game in nearly every way possible. Its secrets are alright, although I do wish a certain mechanic involved with them was eventually allowed to escape into the actual levels during a point in progression where the player was expected to be familiar with it. The puzzles that you-know-what ARE used in are never really allowed to combine with mechanics from other parts of the game, and I find that really disappointing, which should be clear why if you are in the know about how clever the mechanic in question is. The hint system borrows from the "insight" mechanic from games like Can of Wormholes, having you solve a miniature version of the level that uses the same core 'trick'. Although the insight is a piece of stellar game design in itself, He Who Watches' puzzles are already so stripped-down by necessity that it almost feels cheaty, especially in later stages. If you use the insight altar on certain later levels, be prepared to be TOLD how to do the puzzle, with little to no room to discover the solution from inside of the hint level, and little to do outside of the hint level but figure out exactly which order to move which blocks to do that thing you saw. Do be warned, this game is surprisingly tough on your hardware for a game that looks like it was made for the XBox 360. Be prepared for frame chugging (especially in a certain area with lots of glass windows; fix your game!) if you don't have a PC that's up-to-snuff. Overall, though, 100%-ing He Who Watches, discovering all of its little secrets and tidbits which had been scattered throughout the entire game and seeing everything this game has to offer, has been a wonderful experience. I don't want to be unfair to it just because I have a few nitpicks; He Who Watches has a delicious amount of content, and for $20, is well worth the price and your time.

An impressively innovative and well-designed entry in the hall of modern sokoban-ish games. This one makes you think in 3D much more than most - if you like the sound of that then you'll probably really like it. I certainly enjoyed getting my brain twisted in exciting new ways. Can of Wormholes' excellent 'Gain Insight' hint system is present and correct, and a welcome addition that allows the puzzles to be genuinely difficult in many cases without presenting a brick wall. Recommended!

This is a wonderfully mind bending puzzle game. The seemingly simple premise of manipulating gravity feels like it was really pushed to its limits and finding out all the secrets was such a fun experience.
