ALONE OR ALLIED…
You can explore the altered zone on your own for a tense and atmospheric solo experience, or join forces with up to three friends in four-player co-op to take on missions together. Both modes share the same gameplay and story, so you can experience the full journey however you prefer. Communication is key, and proximity voice chat lets you coordinate or warn each other in real time while navigating each mission.
Once you complete the tutorial mission, you can host a co-op session and head into the Radius with a friend. …THOSE WHO MASTER THEIR ARSENAL…
In Into the Radius 2, every weapon is built with realistic detail and distinct handling. A wide range of classic and modern firearms can be customized as full builds or part‑by‑part to suit the way you play. The modular weapon system lets you swap and combine barrels, stocks, handguards, optics, and other attachments until the setup feels right, whether you lean toward mobility, control, or precision.
Weapon maintenance is an essential part of survival. Every firearm in the game deteriorates over time, and if you don’t keep it clean and in good condition, it can jam or fail at the worst possible moment. To stay reliable in the field, you need to monitor the state of your weapons and perform regular cleaning and maintenance, so your gear won’t let you down when you need it most.
This hands‑on control over your weapons carries over to the rest of your gear. Chest rigs, armor vests, and backpacks can be used as pre‑configured setups or arranged from scratch. Pouches and holsters can be placed exactly where you want them and adjusted to the angle that feels most natural, giving you a loadout tailored to both your playstyle and your comfort.
You can also change the look of your equipment with the spray paint system. Repaint backpacks, vests, pouches, magazines, attachments, weapon parts, helmets, the tablet, and even the Explorer’s Uniform. Use solid colors for a clean finish or layer camouflage patterns across different pieces of gear to create a look of your own. …MAY ENDURE THE SHADOWS OF THE RADIUS
The Radius is filled with hostile entities born from distortion, each with unique behavior, movement, and weaknesses. You will encounter Mimics that stalk the fog in eerie human form, their types defined by unique weapons, tactics, and strategies. Also you will face distorted Fragments that rush at you without fear, their invisible Phantom variants that only reveal themselves if you stay completely focused, and elusive Creeps emerging from rifts in reality, fragile yet dangerous in numbers.
Mimics approach combat intelligently. They search for you instead of firing blindly, take cover under pressure, and change positions or rebuild ambushes when they lose the advantage. At close range, they become more aggressive, adjusting accuracy, timing, and firing mode depending on the situation. Enemies react consistently to what they can see and hear, noticing flashlights and laser sights if you use them nearby.
Beyond enemies, you will face a variety of anomalies. Some explode into shrapnel on contact, others build charge and release an electric shock, suppress all nearby light sources, or attach themselves to you before detonating for extra damage. Certain types trigger powerful electric bursts when entered, and others violently push you away while dealing damage.
Distortion Zones pose an even greater threat, dealing severe damage every second you’re inside them. To move through these zones safely, you’ll need special anti‑distortion headgear.
The Radius changes with time, from day to night and from one Tide cycle to the next. The Tide is a recurring in-world event that resets each location, though every area follows its own schedule. Some tidal anomalies remain untouched by the Tide, and within them, Explorers can find shelters to prepare and wait out the reset.
To survive, you must adapt your tactics, stay aware of light and sound, and use your surroundings wisely. Every encounter in the Radius tests your precision, focus, and instinct.

Here is my problem when the game works, it is amazing, truly amazing, but holy, the FPS drops are crazy, How is it i can have a clean 90fps and boom, freeze, and it happens at least 2-5 times and hour, To the point i had to make my own mod to make it stop (Turns out its all the interactions around you, the prompt to pick things up makes your FPS drop, and the outline also, so when you have more then 3-6 around you it drops, it also does not help with pop AI in and out, just cull them) Devs, If you sort the performance out on this game it would be a outstanding VR game, A VR game that others would want to be like when they make a game Yes i dont have the highest PC, but if NMS on high has better performance then this game, you have a problem Please do a real pass for stutters and FPS drops, if you do this, and fix most of them, it would be a outstanding game

my partner has been playing both ITR games for a while now, so I already heard good things about these games. recently we were lucky to get the Steam Frame early so we've been playing ITR2 together, and it's been an absolute blast! we haven't encountered any major bugs or performance issues, and everything seems to work well with the Steam Frame. the customization of your weapons and gear is insane, you can really make whatever loadout you prefer and change it up any time. I'm not as "vr-savvy" as other players, but I find this game insanely fun, tense, and immersive. I want to talk about the location and environment. a part of the development team are Estonian, and the game takes place in Estonia. as an Estonian myself, I recognize the many little things that truly makes me believe that the areas are in Estonia. Kalasaare sounds like a typical name for a place, and it basically means Fish Island. while I don't think it's an actual island, there are boats and bodies of water around, and Lauri talks about going fishing, so it seems to be a place where a lot of fishing took place. imo quite immersive still. MANY houses feel like buildings typical Estonian grandparents would live in even to this day. there are lots of interactable and static objects that are Russian/Soviet, but stuff my own grandmas still have. from old (real life) books, clutter like cups, plates, and teapots, to old stoves that need to be lit with real fire undearneath. after dealing with nearby enemies, I've been giving my Dutch partner a "tour" of houses I've never been in before, and yet know so much about, just because how these places are all inspired by real life old Soviet Estonian buildings and items. I could go to my grandmas house right now and pick up pretty much the same cups or jars. if I asked my mom, she'd probably find some old toys my brother and I used to play with that exist in the game. I've never been this immersed in any other game. does this matter? to most people, not really. you can make places feel old and abandoned in many different ways and still be immersive. none of this is noticed by anyone who isn't Estonian or even Baltic. but I noticed. to me, this makes the game feel strangely comforting, and it reminds me of my grandparents. it feels special, and I can see the effort of the devs designing the objects, houses, gardens, environments, etc. I think about this game a lot. I can't really put into words what this means to me, it's an indescribable feeling. but I can say, good job to the devs, and thank you for putting so much care into the world of this game. it matters to me a lot. PS: need more Pechos. there is no such thing as "too many Pechos"

The modular customisable gear system and backpack is the coolest and most immersive feature I have ever seen in a VR game, I havent finished it yet but it's such a cool feature that I'm dropping a positive review

Highly recommend this game! | Better than Convergence, and a good sequel from the first game. ============================= **Things to consider** > Multiplayer seems to be where 90% of the bugs take place. Didn't see any issues solo. > There are still bugs present in this game, most of which are solved by reloading the game or by relaunching. > Controls, modifications, and attachments on the game feel amazing. > No vodka!! I wish I could smash bottles with my friends! 8/10 VR game.

I'm not sure how the game somehow downgraded itself in so many ways. If the first game was clunky in intentional way, now the game is clunky in VR interaction way. (opening a drawer/closet is such a pain now). The visuals, while it is more vibrant and detailed than first game, feels incomplete and inconsistent. The shadow effect looks quite off, and glitchy (updating every 2 seconds? is this supposed to be "anomaly"?). The game does not feel responsive, and I feel like the game is lagging, even though the FPS is high. There were numerous times I had to shoot more bullets into the enemy because the enemy would take a whole second to register its death. Also, when there are lots of items (like inside the armory with many bullets), the game seems to lag a bit as well; felt jittery as I was loading the gun. And my god, the voice acting is bad. I honestly think you should just remove it. I hated the entity's voice, the previous guy's voice, and the advisor's voice. All of them sound horrible, and takes me out of immersion. I mean, the whole character designs are bad, but the voice was the worst part. The sound effects are quite interesting, but feels very isolated from the game environment, and doesn't seem to blend in well with each other much. Feels like somebody artificially inserted it and you can feel it. I guess you can just say it's an anomaly, and it's supposed to be that way, but I really don't think it worked in the positive way. All in all, I can't recommend the game at this state. It's extremely difficult to find the motivation to go back and play the game again each time (and I only played 2 of 1 hour session at this point), whereas in the first game, I really forgot how fast the time went by.
