It's not a bad game, but there is also nothing to recommend here. There is no single-player campaign, just a training level. It is an online multiplayer game for one-on-one matches, but multiplayer is dead. It is originally a smartphone-game, while there is a "pass&play"-mode for two players on one phone (screen), but forget that on PC when the opponent is not allowed to see the positions of the Assassins. Anyway, if you don't have a friend to play it with the game is pretty useless. I'm also not convinced about the balance between Kings and Assassins. It's a simple and short casual game, look at the playing times, and certainly not worth the money. Can't recommend it for a price above 0,99 cents.

The game is good if you have someone to play with. Otherwise move on: Negatives: the AI is horrible and cheats (it will arrest your assassins even if it has no way of knowing they are the assassins. the knights will move past bystanders and go for the hidden assasin directly.) No was you can play it in single player mode The game will kick you out lobby if you alt tab out of it. Since there is no good chat function in the game and you want to write to your friends on messanger . Guess what? Your connection to lobby is terminated. Even worse you are temporarily logged out of your Asmodee account. Good job devs! Plus: the game does not crash constantly

КАЗНИТЬ НЕЛЬЗЯ ПОМИЛОВАТЬ King and Assassins - компьютерная "настольная" игра от разработчика Playsoft, изданная Asmodee Digital. Игра вышла в Steam в августе 2018 года и на данный момент имеет 75+ отзывов, 61% положительных, что в сумме дает игре "смешанный" рейтинг. Давайте рассмотрим игру подробнее. ๑۩۩๑ СЮЖЕТ ๑۩۩๑ King and Assassins - по сути, перенесенная на компьютерные рельсы настольная игра с одноименным названием, повествующая о злоключениях короля и его (не)задачливых убийц. Концепция предельно проста, но до умиления забавна: партии из двух игроков необходимо сделать выбор - возглавить ли королевское шествие во главе с монаршей особой, или примкнуть к недовольной черни, и всеми силами не дать злобному самодержцу добраться до роскошных покоев своего замка живым. В зависимости от выбранной стороны меняются и правила. ๑۩۩๑ ГЕЙМПЛЕЙ ๑۩۩๑ Независимо от выбранной Вами стороны, в самом начале игры вы попадаете на игровое поле, условно разделенное на квадраты. Именно по ним будет осуществляться перемещение ваших персонажей в зависимости от имеющихся очков движения. Игра пошаговая, завершая свой ход, вы передаете очередь сопернику, и так по кругу до конца всех раундов игры. Играя за короля, вы получаете в свое распоряжение монарха и набор сопровождающих его солдат. Сам по себе самодержец не сильно отличается от своего шахматного собрата, неспешно передвигаясь на клетку вперед в зависимости от заданного направления. В то же время, элита королевских войск в своих возможностях куда как более свободна: воины короля могут перемещаться сразу на несколько клеток по игровому полю, залезать на крыши зданий, расталкивать толпы народа, и, что самое важное - отражать нападки убийц и производить задержание подозрительных личностей. На каждое действие, впрочем, тратится определенное количество очков, строго ограниченное на каждый раунд игры. Основная задача короля и его свиты - добраться до назначенного места (замка) до истечения срока в n-дней. Простая чернь, впрочем, здесь тоже не пальцем деланная, и может преподнести пару неожиданных и неприятных сюрпризов как монарху, так и его свите. Сторона, выбравшая играть от лица заговорщиков, получает в свое распоряжение отряд мирных жителей, рассредоточенных по всему игровому полю в самых разных местах. Управлять можно всеми, однако лишь троих из них можно назначить "убийцами короля". В отличие от простых граждан, условные ассасины имеют возможность вступить в бой с гвардейцами короля, а также, что важнее, нанести урон самому правителю. Важно помнить, что, в отличие от простых людей и стражи монарха, сам король не так прост, и имеет две жизни, таким образом первый полученный правителем удар от заговорщиков, каким бы сильным он ни был, оставит монарха живым, но с ранением. Это означает, что убийцам необходимо будет совершить как минимум два успешных покушения на короля для успешной победы. В отличие от королевской стражи, убийцы не тратят очки действия во время поднятия или спуска с крыш, а также могут наносить урон с высоты, при условии, что неосторожный стражник или король подойдут слишком близко. Одним словом, все предельно просто и достаточно быстро схватывается, даже если вы далеки от настольных игр. Компьютерная версия бережно относится к оригинальным правилам и переносит в виртуальный формат все максимально точно. Графически игра выглядит простенько, однако никаких нареканий не вызывает. Отрицательные отзывы в большинстве своем сетуют на мертвый мультиплеер (и это правда), что в свою очередь означает, что у игрока, по сути, два выбора - либо вступить в партию с искусственным интеллектом (надо сказать, он не так уж и плох), либо пригласить друга и сыграть с ним. Однако, и в том, и в другом случае возникает вопрос - надолго ли Вас хватит, и насколько игра в действительности реиграбельна? К слову, карт для игры на данный момент представлено всего две, и на мой взгляд, это как-то совсем несерьезно. ๑۩۩๑ ПЛЮСЫ И МИНУСЫ ๑۩۩๑ + Оригинальная настольная игра, бережно перенесенная в виртуальный мир + Быстрые партии + Затягивающий игровой процесс с хорошей тактической составляющей + Доступная цена и частые скидки +/- Графика и музыка весьма бюджетные - Многопользовательский режим мертв - Русский язык не представлен - Достижения Steam и карточки отсутствуют - Со временем приедается ๑۩۩๑ СТОИТ ЛИ ИГРАТЬ? ๑۩۩๑ Часа с небольшим мне с лихвой хватило на то, чтобы разобраться во всех хитросплетениях King and Assassins и пройти обе имеющихся карты как на стороне короля, так и от лица его вездесущих недругов. Забавно, но какую бы сторону я не примерял, автоматически возникало стойкое чувство, что вот противнику явно легче. Ну, у соседей, как говорится, всегда трава зеленее, ничего тут не поделаешь. Кому можно посоветовать? Тем, кто ищет настолку для игры с другом по сети на вечер-два. Думается, играть с живым противником будет куда как интереснее, хоть я и не пробовал. Однако, перед этим никто не мешает вдоволь потешиться над компьютерными оппонентами, благо они тоже порой дают жару так, что пригорит у Вас не раз. "King and Assassins" ist die Digital-Umsetzung des gleichnamigen Brettspiels. Im Jahre 2013 kam das Spiel "King and Assassins" auf den Markt. Zunächst in der englischen Version, später unter dem Titel "Tod dem Tyrannen!" in der deutschsprachigen Ausgabe. In diesem kleinen asymmetrischen Zwei-Personen-Spiel übernimmt einer die Rolle des Königs und seiner Wachen und der andere die Rolle von Dorfbewohnern, von denen drei Assassinen sind. Die Aufgabe des Königs ist es, einmal über das Spielfeld in seinen Palast zu kommen. Die Assassinen müssen ihn ermorden bevor er das erreicht. In jeder Runde wird eine Karte aufgedeckt, auf der die Anzahl der Züge der jeweiligen Seite angegeben ist. Meist können etwa 5 Bewegungen mit den Wachen und eine oder maximal zwei mit dem König ausgeführt werden. Der andere Spieler hat meist 4-6 Aktionspunkte. Um den König zu erwischen, muß sich ein Assassine zunächst enttarnen und sich dann neben dem König platzieren. Die Assassinen können auch Wachen töten, um dann besser an den König heran zu kommen. Die Wachen können ihrerseits enttarnte Assassinen töten oder hin und wieder, wenn ein entsprechendes Symbol auf der Karte abgebildet ist, einen Dorfbewohner gefangen nehmen. Ein mechanisch recht einfaches und schnell gespieltes Brettspiel. Eine Partie dauert in der Regel nicht länger als zwanzig Minuten. Aber auch ein gutes und unterhaltsames Spiel, bei dem es auf Seiten des Spielers, der die Assassinen steuert, vor allem auf gutes Bluffen ankommt. Da liegt allerdings auch das große Problem einer Digital-Umsetzung, denn die Spieler sollten sich eigentlich gegenübersitzen und beobachten können, um den vollen Spielspaß erleben zu können. Man kann diese Version zwar zu zweit spielen, aber der unmittelbare Kontakt fehlt dennoch. Die nicht sehr intelligent agierende KI ist bestenfalls ein besserer Trainings-Ersatz. Das Spiel ist selbst ist relativ thematisch, leicht zugänglich und schnell zu lernen. Stilistisch übernimmt die Digital-Umsetzung die gelungene Ästhetik des Brettspiel-Originals. Sogar die gewählte Musik ist einigermaßen gelungen. Etwas problematisch ist allerdings, daß die grundsätzlich gewählte isometrische Perspektive zwar ganz nett aussieht, aber nicht immer der Übersichtlichkeit dient, denn einige Felder sind durch Gebäude verdeckt. Zwar kann man zu einer Top-Down Ansicht umschalten, aber auch diese ist nicht die Übersichtlichste. Die Bedienbarkeit des Spiel, oftmals ein Problem bei Brettspiel-Umsetzungen, ist hier in Ordnung, was aber wohl auch daran liegt, daß das Spielbrett recht klein ist und es nur wenige Funktionen gibt. Ohne Frage gilt: Brettspiele sollte man am besten mit realen Gegnern genießen. Dafür sind sie gemacht. Wenn man allerdings keinen solchen zur Hand hat, ist diese Digital-Umsetzung immerhin eine überraschend funktionierende Alternative. Wertung: 7/10 Atmosphäre -/10 Story 7/10 Grafik 6/10 Sound 7/10 Spielmechanik 6/10 Balancing 6/10 Spielspass Fazit: Gute Brettspiel-Umsetzung eines Spieles, das allerdings in der realen Welt deutlich besser funktioniert. 6/10 Gesamtwertung

I normally think people are being silly when they say this, but I legitimately feel like the computer is programmed to know more than it's supposed to in this game. Playing the assassins feels impossible because the knights will go out of their way to go arrest a "random" citizen (really one of my assassins) who literally has not moved the entire game. No matter how many times I play, I get frustrated feeling like this is the case. Fine game if you wanna play with real people, but the practice with the computer seriously feels broke.

It was fun as a short strategy game. It could be much better. Almost no replay value due to comments already made. No campaign. AI is broken. No one is online to play. For pass and play, you have to hide your screen between turns. Also annoying you have to sign up for an account for online features that don't exist.

A stones throw away from being an absolute gem of a game. With the addition of a few more maps and some more flexibility in unit starting locations (I.E. let players have some choice) this game would have a lot more replayability.

A board game remade to PC - which for my lazy self is a solid (and solitude) idea. Think of this game as Game of Thrones Season 2 - where Joffrey is trying to get through the Town Streets to the Red Keep. It's a fairly simple premise; if you play as the King, then your goal is one of two things: * get the King to the Castle * kill all of the opponents assassins if you are the Assassin's team: * kill the King Simple idea, but complicated when it comes to its strategies. The King is surrounded by guards, who can push the lowly peasants away and kill at your will The Assassin's team has 3 Assassins, all beginning as peasants in disguise, so the opponent doesn't know when ones they are. This is important because the Assassin's team can organise a plan to draw out the Kingsguards and send in someone to kill the King. The King's team however cannot just kill anyone (here is the difference between this and Game of Thrones) for too many innocent kills will result in an instant loss of the game. The mechanics handle well and the game feels balanced with each side you play; you always feel the "other" team has it easier but change your mind when you play the opposition yourself. My request would be if they could make more maps as I believe there is only 1 board, which can get tiresome after a while. And not to "feature creep" but some more play-elements would be nice too (different assassin types, different kingsgaurds, etc). I recommend it on sale as you will get small play time out of this, but it's something you will come back to time and again. This does include multiplayer but I have yet to play it.
