(Not all the reviews here are for the Lord's Edition DLC...but they should be. I'm reviewing the Lord's Edition DLC ONLY.) Eh, so the DLC isn't really worth. The game is expensive enough as is, and I don't recommend getting this. You can always upgrade to it later if you want. It costs $5 if you buy it with the game, or $6 to upgrade to it later. (I paid around $4 from a third party site.) Here's what you get: • Rod of Deception • Frosthammer • Staff of Harmony • Tyrant's Sword • Armor of the Hollow • Heroes & Villains Premium Pack • King‘s Watchdogs (unit) So that's 4 weapons, an armor set, a SKIN for some units, and an extra unit. You can only have ONE weapon equipped at a time. (If the weapon is one-handed you can also equip a shield but that's neither here nor there.) So you can only equip ONE of these weapons at a time. That said, the Frosthammer is ACTUALLY pretty good. I think you can equip it around level 9 (?) and I'm level 15 and still using it. (But is it worth $5? Nah.) Then there's unit skins. I care nothing about them. If you do, then so be it. Then there's the extra unit. It's only slightly better than another unit which is also not even all that good itself. It's a low-tier unit and by the time you can even get it, you should be looking for something better anyway. And then there's the armor set. It's level 20. You get a bonus for equipping all 5, which doesn't even seem that good, and most of the pieces are bad. 2 of the pieces are way worse than what I currently have at 15, and one other is worse. There's only 2 pieces I'd even consider equipping now, but by the time I'm level 20 they'll probably be outclassed. So the best thing to do is sell these things, but gold isn't really all THAT hard to come by if you search everywhere, and you don't suck, so it's not a huge deal. Also, it's not even that much gold that they sell for. So what are you getting for $5? The Frosthammer (actual good weapon for a long part of the early game, who knows how long) and a little bit of gold. *shrug*

This DLC gives you a new early-game Order unit that will quickly be outclassed (King's Watchdogs), a cool-looking but not very great warrior-focused armor set that you can't use until pretty long into the game (Armor of the Hollow), some unit skins which I'm not sure if there's any way to actually turn on or off in-game (Heroes & Villains Premium Pack), and four new weapons. (Rod of Deception, Frosthammer, Staff of Harmony, Tyrant's Sword) Of those, the weapons are the best, with Rod of Deception being the best mage staff I found all-game because of its special ability of casting Weakness on all enemies at the start of every combat, while Frosthammer is a good warrior weapon usable early on. Recommended for completionists, since it does contain Content™ that you'd miss out on otherwise, but quite skippable for most players, especially given the relatively high price.

Ignore the reviews that say the armour is useless. The full set affect is very powerful and it's pretty much impossible to get a full set of any of the other legendary sets until very late in the game. So if you are going to play on the hardest difficulty, as I have, this dlc is more of a requirement than an option. The weapons aren't the best though - even when the hammer becomes available fairly soon it's not that good. Rod of Deception is the best of them unless you are playing warrior (which is boring).

Unnecessary p2w bundle cut from the original game - shouldn't be a thing, same as no longer obtainable preorder one.
